Can we just cancel 2016? Name this year 2017 and pretend the last two weeks never happened?
Anon, death is a natural part of life, you need to learn how to accept it, after all you'll die one day too
>Lemmy was the one holding back Stan Lee
>not that he's fallen, none are safe
I hadn't thought of it that way. We had a bunch of people born in the late 40s at the same time, so they're all going to die around the same time.
this sucks since I hate my generations.
Lemmy (though technically in 2015)
And I just found out the voice of Boba Fett from the Original Star Wars Trilogy died. Fuck this year! Fuck it!
>baby boomers die
>civilization crumbles down
>notable British celebrities like Alan Rickman and David Bowie die at the age of 69
>the 69 Club is formed this year.
you aint just whistlin dixie
we'll briefly be relieved from the burden of tons of old people to support, but since nobody in this generation is having kids, there will be NOBODY to support us when we're old.
more to the point, as we can see, they are NOT being replaced with equally talented folks. not here, not in japan, not in england.. everyone is relying on bringing back the old people to write for things.
Man fuck the lions
>Its ok for us to murder who ever we feel like as long as we don't murder TOO much but its ok because the people we murder can be happy to know that they're maybe munching on grass that my ancestors died under
Is meme magic real? Can we abuse it to kill people we don't like?
Am I the only one who had never heard of Brian Bedford until he died? What was he in besides Robin Hood?
Yeah, I know, every life is precious and it's only natural to mourn. But you never talked about him before.
In the end, Robin Hood took the Sheriff of Nottingham with him...
Wayne Rogers (M*A*S*H) died on New Year's Eve and Angus Scrimm (Phantasm) died the same day as Bowie.
I'm telling you guys, it's Bill and Ted using their Reaper connections to put together a rad new band to save the afterlife. Lemmy had JUST turned seventy a few days prior to his death.
>Millenials are the true worst generation.
And who's responsible for creating Millennials? The Boomers are. They were the first generation to care more about themselves than their own children, it's hardly surprising their kids are shit.
Millennials are manchildren.
They are the objectively dumbest generation on record.
They have access to all the knowledge and all the tools to do anything and they know jackshit and don't do anything productive with their lives.
Even in techliteracy tests boomers and Xes wipe the floor of the millennial "technology age" generation.
Millennials only know how to log on to facebook. Everything else computer related is unknown to them, they cannot install an operating system nor can they even assemble a fucking computer.
They have no education, no future and they cannot even into technology at all even though that was supposed to be one of the things they should've been really good at.
Millennials really needs splitting into two. Most people born in the '80s or early '90s is in my experience pretty tech savvy and aware, it's mid '90s babbies onwards who start to get lazy and unknowledgable.
>Children were never taught things
>It's the children's fault
>Education standards dropping every day
>Price of education skyrocketing
>Degrees becoming devalued in the working world so much that they might as well be a participation ribbon
>HUR WHY DON'T KIDS THESE DAYS WANNA LEARN?
I think Millennials are the second boomers.
Gen Z are probably going to be the second gen X, they'll be the rebels fighting against the dumb millennial political correctness masses and will do all the cool shit. The new Lemmy and Bowie and all of those guys will reincarnate in gen Z and show the millennials how the shit is done.
>Even in techliteracy tests boomers and Xes wipe the floor of the millennial "technology age" generation.
The amount of computers, iPads, and printers I've had to set up and repair says otherwise.
It is a proven fact that STEMfags are genuinely retarded. I work in software development and my degree is in art; all you really have to do to work in STEM is read a book once in a while.
I can't tell you how fucking dumb my coworkers are. STEMfags also notoriously touchy know-it-alls because they're constantly told that they're smart.
It's pretty fucking stupid. Millennials born in the early 80s have next to nothing in common with ones born in the late 90s. Boomers born in the mid 40s have little in common with those born in the early 60s either.
You do realize Lemmy and Bowie were Boomers, right? Gen X have achieved very little of note compared to Boomers.
I think because we fucked a lot with our computers, I dunno but we had a computer in my house and I just got around messing with it and that's how I learned HTML, how I learned about DOS and other shit, I met people in the internet who were really tech savvy (back then the average joe didn't have internet so you didn't meet a lot of trolls or meme people), not much social media aside from chat rooms and forums so it wasn't like we spend all the time chatting with school friends since a lot of them (at least in my experience) didn't have internet and it was mostly with strangers from different places in the world.
I mean all I used the internet for was to make shitty webpages with html, chat about Anime, and find solutions to computer problems (Microsoft didn't really have a good costumer support back then) that's about it.
Most kids nowadays is just vine, instagram, and snapchat and they access the internet through their phone and tablets and not really from a computer.
>40% of millennials are feeling a-ok for removing freedom of speech in order to limit and censor out "hate speech" from spoken and written language
>40% of millennials want to remove the 1st amendment
>31% jump from the last generations
Teenagers are always dumb idealistic totalitarians who believe in their way and their way only though. Come back when ALL Millennials are over 30 and you'll probably get a very different picture.
>If a man is not a Socialist at 20 be has no heart, but if he remains one at 30 he has no head.
>millennials turn 40
>all of societies' vices and failures will apparently be the fault of the people being born right now, the happening and the apocalypse surely right around the corner
Like pottery I tell you
>greatest generation dies.
>baby boomers remain
>civilisation crumbles down
Those damn baby boomers will be the death of America with their "flower power" and their drugs and their "Rock en Roll."
Has there ever been a year with more good people dying in a single MONTH, before 2016?
>tfw Neil Gaiman will die in your lifetime
Dude I cannot WAIT. The sooner that smug cunt chokes it, the better.
>Gen X have achieved very little of note compared to Boomers.
well aside from making shit tons of video games, loads of movies in source film maker, all of new grounds animations and so on and so on. IT's a very creative generation. Anybody saying the opposite is an idiot.
Boomers also have about 25+ years on the next generation.
I can go all day about how wrong you are.
Baby Boomers escalated the cold war, caused massive inflation, ran up 17 trillion dollars in US Debt and basically have been trying to turn the world into a totalitarian socialist/communist govt.
the same number is dying that always does, just in this case it happened to be a couple bigger well-known ones and deluded people who have no friends and who've never met the people who died freak out cause they are autistic. You can be sad they died and sad for their family but freaking out like your world is ending because someone you've never met died is just autistic. Death happens grow the fuck up and accept it pussies.
