Palate cleansing after the awful ANAD Avengers first arc
No, NA is deliciously retarded.
Wiccan isn't an annoying faggot when he is possessed by a satanic space squid sorcerer.
While it's a better design than squrriel girl ongoing and a homage to her orginal look, the teeth make certain shots look werid.
So far it looks interesting and has energy though. Nice to see Songbird.
I think I'm going to contemplate autistic crossover fan fiction featuring Vril Dox and the L.E.G.I.O.N. and the Eldar attempting to out plan and out dick each other
Lovo can fight and drink with some chaos space marines or something
Were they the guys from the end of Ultron Forever?
Yea, this wasn't too bad. I'm not big on the team (nothing to do with muh minorities, I just actively dislike a lot of these characters), but it was an otherwise imaginative romp so far. Hopefully this Moridun guy becomes more than just Cthulhu-Thanos.
Do other people really not like this book, though?
It's pretty much the least popular of the Avengers books. The artstyle really puts people off, and some people aren't a fan of what it does with the characters or how its written.
B-but I love the art, what it does with the characters, and how it's written. Way more than ANAD at least. I'd say Uncanny as well, but that book really turned around once Cable was added. I'm a sucker for the Summers Clan.

Sandoval's art is very divisive. You either love it or despise it and it seems like there's more of the latter than the former.
Personally, Uncanny is the only avengers title i'm planning on buying in collected format. Perhaps the nect NA arc will convince me to buy it.
I agree, Uncanny is easily the best out there, no doubt because Duggan is most likely sticking so closely to what Remender had plan. But this was pretty good too; I won't drop this like I did Mighty Avengers.
I'm trade-waiting UA and getting the floppies of NA.
I want to like ANADA because I like Kamala/Miles/Sam's dynamic over in the most recent issue of Nova and generally like Waid's books, but could not phone it in any harder. He's been half-assing his art for years now, but this is the worst I've ever seen it. That plus the first arc was extremely underwhelming. FalCap seems really out of character, Tony is annoying, and Jane is... Jane. Her being there only reminds me how much massively wasted potential not having Odinson there to train Kamala/Miles/Sam. Then the only reason I was still holding out hope for it was the promise of Pymtron, but now that that's being done in UA, it's hard for me to give a fuck about ANADA.

From what I've seen and remember, cause I wasn't really looking for these and haven't thought about it in a while:
People don't like how Squirrel Girl looks nothing like her solo or they just always found her character annoying anyway, people don't like how Wiccan looks anime and is so down, they'd much rather Kate!Hawkeye rather than Clint!Hawkguy and I remember reading that some aren't digging the pacing or find that its a waste of the Maker.
I find the irony of people hating on a Hickman character for not doing anything immediately hilarious.
And you get what you pay for when using Squirrel Girl. Either you take her seriously and give her an arc (which is ridiculous in a book like this), or you keep her around for a token joke any time she's on screen (which is insipid). Ewing dug his own grave with that one.
>they'd much rather Kate!Hawkeye rather than Clint!Hawkguy
So does Roberto.
Speaking of which, has Ewing said anything about the other New Mutants appearing? I've always preferred them to the X-men proper and I'm fucking desperate. Just got done re-reading DnA's run last night, and it hurts knowing that we may never get another NM book.
it's interesting so many people like ultimates? it started lowest of the four for first issue sales, hope it's finding its audience. the direction will have to change when cw2 hits.
I think this is pretty decent so far.
Glad they're at least using some new and potentially interesting villains even if he's just visually space Cthulhu. It'd be cool to see people flesh out some of the previous universes.
