Geoff Johns revealed there'll be a hint to the Legion of Superheroes in either ARROW, THE FLASH or LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, which he hopes will gather enough traction to fully introduce the team further down the line.
They don't really need to racebend anyone new after the Threeboot gave them real racebent versions to work from. Tornado Twins are kind of a given though unless Iris won't be their mom anymore.
I'm kind of glad they were put on break for a little while. They had some good stories in other appearances but the ongoings were pretty shitty since Waid left. Cosmic DC in general needs some work since even GL isn't good now and Omega Men is doomed.
Well it's about damn time.
Dude, have you actually read any Legion stuff? Half cape antics, half teen drama. They kinda fall into CW's wheelhouse.
>Then make a fucking book about it!
He'd probably love to, but making a book requires approval from the management.
The thing is that he might be the kind of guy the Legion needs. That sort of long plotting is generally when they've had their best stories.
Yeah it wasn't awful and when those academy kids were added the main book it helped that one get a little better too (at least until the very end where you could tell no one gave a shit and they were just being spiteful). But when the best stories featuring the characters are unrelated minis like the Star Trek crossover I think that's a problem.
Yeah, but those stories had payoff and made use of the cast.
And man, remember when there were four Legion books when the New 52 hit and everyone was all "Legion Renaissance"?
If we only knew...
>You’ll see a hint of the Legion on one of our shows, keep watching” Johns told reporters. "I love the Legion. They’re underused and hopefully we’ll get them out there soon
so i'm guessing Rip has a flight ring or something.
keeping my hopes low, low for now
... I am pretty sure one of the most common things about LOSH is they were inspired by Superman. I mean its main thing is a bunch of Aliens working together to protect Earth, based on the ideals of Superman. This is basically Superman's legacy. I don't know if this was the original conception of LOSH but it is one of the most popular.
Just go the "inspired by the golden age of superheroes" route, rather than Superman in particular.
With the implication that it's the one Booster stole.
That'd be fine by me.
It was the original concept but it was removed when the Superman editorial in the 90s didn't want it there anymore. So it got changed to them more generally being inspired by the "modern heroes" and Mon-El's legacy of adventures in the past as the seeder of planets. This was not rectified until Infinite Crisis.
But my point is that there's no reason to jump to Superman when in the comics there's been times when he hasn't been affiliated with them and Barry Allen's children and granddaughter have historically been on the team as well.
>... I am pretty sure one of the most common things about LOSH is they were inspired by Superman.
Yeah, and when Crisis hit, he was more or less replaced by Mon-El. The Legion was instead inspired by superheroes in general, and Mon-El in particular since he was partially responsible for the mass space colonization.
In any case, I do agree that she would be the best way to introduce the Legion to viewers of Flash at at least. Just have this adorable girl from the future appear and you've got your hook.
Technically speaking, only some of them are aliens. Most are humans who colonized other planets and "evolved" superpowers because comic book science.
>implying we'd ever get a L.E.G.I.O.N show
Oh child, I wish, but nah. Let's get away from the candyland bullshit thoughts.
Worst case scenario it'd still be worth talking about rather than the painful blandness of modern Levitz that killed the Legion's momentum from Legion of Three Worlds/Superman and the Legion.
I'm saying this as someone who fucking loathes Hickvengers and all it stands firm, and as a gigantic Giffen-fag. I'd take that risk.
He even came on /co/ to talk about it a little but trolls scared him off by pretending to be him and making BLACKED jokes.
Nah, they are dead.
Johns told reporters. "I love the Legion. They’re underused and hopefully we’ll get them out there soon
"i love wally"
"i love mr terrific".
I'm guessing that if they're going to put it on the CW that they'll strip away any connection to Superman due to Supergirl and the DCEU.
And considering the consistant rumor that Braniac was going to be the villain in at least one of the Justice League movies, we can probably say good-bye to ol' Brainy 5.

>No connections to Superboy/Girl
>No Brainiac 5
I'm cool with that, honestly. There -was- one version of the Legion that had them take inspiration from a Phantom Zone-trapped Mon-El because Superman being Superboy was retconned out.
They can always invent a new super-intelligent alien/robot teammate too. Maybe a more advanced version of an AI similar to Earth 1 Zoom's super computer
Will the Rannz twins be the next victims in live-action's war on gingers?
