Youre telling me the superhero who uses fear to scare the shit out of bad people would from one second go from actual boogeyman to a fatherly figure that a kid would hug?
I don't buy that shit.
Superman can do that, spiderman can do that, hell even DD could do that.
I know, i know its a bit of a blog but that image really triggers my autism.
sriously. Batman made himself to be fear itself against criminals and yet without context that image shatters what he is.
he's not superman. People should stay away from him.
it feels a bit against character if you ask me.
It feels against the post-Miller Batman. Which fucking sucks. Hell, even O'Neil run had that.
Inspiring Batman >>>>>> shit >>>>> Grant Morrison Batman >>>>>>>>>> Alan Moore's poo >>>>> Frank Miller Batman
Anon, Batman's power is theatrics. The scary is mostly an act. Remember, criminals are a cowardly and superstitious lot.
Not that kind of compassion.
Not in that way.
Its just wrong. No kid should look up at Batman and seea figure they would hug, specially a kid criminal.
i do believe Batman woulnt hurt him but thats not how it should be.
>It feels against the post-Miller Batman.
Miller is the one who wrote the story in which Batman was miserable until he he had a new Robin and was teaching kids how to fight crime.
So even HE understands that Batman likes kids.
aaaaand we'll never see Batman #1400
>Its against character for Batman to like kids.
That's why he adopts them, and see his lost childhood reflected on his eyes, had a mental breakdown when he failed to save a little girl, and most orphanates in gotham are paid by him. You are a fucking idiot.
I understand what you say and i agree.
i just dont believe a little mugger who is really scared to death would run to hug batman as a savior like that.
All Im sying is it could be more in character for Batman to talk him ut of it and making sure he is safe and then hug him.
without words it feels a bit out of character for me thats what am im saying.
Batman might spend a lot of time beating the shit out of people that went through the exact same trauma but simply didn't have the same resources.
Like, if you aren't well-off, I think there's a reasonable chance of your turning to crime after your parents are gunned down in an alley and you are orphaned.
Yeah, that psico inspired criminals into saving their neighbours, into fighting the fascist control of the city, into protecting innocents, into leaving weapons behind. I really can't understand someone saying batman is not worried about the fucking youth
>Conroy Phantom Stranger
>West Thomas Wayne
>Newmar Martha Wayne
>Moll Lew Moxon
>battle for Batman's soul based on his choice when confronted with Joe Chill
This is forever the most based Batman show ever made
Nowhere is it implied that Batman broke free of it.
Batman genuinely wants to help people. Otherwise, why bother reading about him? And he hates to scare innocent kids.
>imagine 'moving in stereo' by the cars playing in the background
Most do, people like Johns are the exception to the rule, the thing is that most writters can only handle a really small run, one or 2 arcs before they fuck up. That's why LOTDK was so perfect.
But that little kid is a mugger, more than likely he is poor and homeless, he probably belongs on the slums with other criminals.
he isnt a good citizen and probably knows and has meet crooks that got beat up by batman.
In all likelyhood that kid knows what batman does to people like him.
if i was in his shoes scared and with a gun last thig i would do is go and hug batman.
Oh shut up you fag.
Im trying to make sense of that image.
there are tons of Batman characterizations and most of them are made to be scary so that reaction from the kid feels forced as hell.
You haven't read anything then. Batman is always kind to children. Children have no reason to fear him. You seem like a spoiled upper middle class person that's never had to pull themselves from hardship with all these assumptions.
I know he would never hurt a children but that doesnt mean any kid that sees Batman on patrol goes to greet him or hug him.
specially a kid that has to mug other people for a living.
again im not saying Batman would hurt the kid, just i feel the hug feels out of place and there could be a resolution that is a little bit better than this one.
I know that is a thing and i see what you guys say but to me that image feels like something Superman would do.
maybe there are images of Batman doing the same on the O'neil or Dixon runs of batman which i never saw.
if any could show me some and educate me on it then i would understand better.
but again that Is my opinion, no need to get bootyblasted.
Batman: War on Crime by Paul Dini and Alex Ross. They did a bunch of Justice League character one-shots
Rewatching The Dark Knight Trilogy
>The Batman confirmed kills:
>Fake Rasta Guy
>The Batman possible kills:
>2 more Dogs
HE'S THE HERO WE DESERVE BUT DON'T NEED JUST THIS MOMENT.
>this level of bait
The protagonist has the intelligence of a 10 years old, has to be saved by the police and alfred, is unlikeble, the whole riddler thing was done better by snyder, alfred is a character from the punisher, almost every character is one dimentional to the point all what they do is either plot related or exposition dialogue. It's a bad crime comic, a terrible detective comic, and fails as a superhero since the tittle character is not really heroic at all and acts like an arrogant child, and that's pretty funny since he is incompetent and not a single gadget works, the only guys that defend the comic are johnsfags that had never read an origin story of batman or an rookie batman elseworld before.
Why waste your time on someone who dislikes the character? They don't read batmab comics, they can't understand what's wrong with it. From red rain to gaslight batman has several different interpretations and no one says anything, earth one is just a terrible version from someone that dislikes batman, johnsfags will never read legends so don't waste your time recommending stuff that is beyond their grasp
