OK, so G1 canon states that the Quintessons created the Autobots and Decepticons as two seperate product lines: Autobots are domestic assistants and blue collar workers, and Decepticons were military hardware. So while you can change your faction by choice, you are still one or the other by design.
Furthermore, we know that eventually Transformers are able to breed, since Rattrap's great aunt is Arcee.
So, if an Autobot and Decepticon have a baby, what is the faction of the child?
Now what about an Autobot and a
Over time and as both robots became equally combat ready I don't think the design matters...in Beast Wars which was the original continuation of G1 protoforms can become either and factions can be swapped on the fly
>Furthermore, we know that eventually Transformers are able to breed, since Rattrap's great aunt is Arcee.
Sorry bud, that was a joke. Though Cybertronians do procreate in other ways such as:
>Protoforms (pretty much blank state fetuses)
>Building an individual from scrap.
>Rebuilding an individual into a new being.
>The Allspark being an ass and bringing things to life that'll rip out your innards.
>Primus or any piece of him bringing beings to life.
Besides Autobot and Decepticons are just goodguy/badguy factions with tons of variations on both. You can change sides.
By those standards, the Matrix of Leadership should belong to the Decepticons, since so many of the ancient Primes were gladiators and thus military hardware.
Obviously Autobot propaganda has twisted its role to allow them to claim at being peaceful, when they are just as warlike as the cons.
>you will never raise a baby police cruiser with Strongarm.
Nah, we see Prima fighting with Sentinel as well.
Likely the first consumer good Prime was Guardian Prime.
Not in the cartoon, which is where this bit of canon derives from. There he worked at the docks.
You know, I've always thought the cartoon origin was the best of any Transformers fiction.
The Quintessons creating Primus and both races as slaves is a lot cooler than atechnogenesis or whatever.
And that's why the best fiction brings it back.
Yes but Prime doesn't have the Autobot = Consumer Goods, Decepticon = Military Hardware concept in its backstory.
Dreamwave had something similar, where Cons were conquerers, and Bots were defenders, and Prime was an archivist there. But the Military Hardware and Consumer Goods thing only happened when Pax was a labourer.
>Now what about an Autobot and a Human?
Not compatible but that didn't stop Seaspray/Alana and Powerglide/Astoria from having some sort of romantic relationship.
...And probably never gonna happen. No matter how badly you want to ship a bot/human.
This is about as good as it gets as far as official art
Quints made consumer goods and industrial goods(including military)
Eventually those that were the industrial saw themselves as the backbone of progress, and banded together to form deceptions. Those consumer goods just weren't involved, and eventually became Autobots only to fight back.
Neither faction is hard coded. It was societal. It's like the south going from dem to republican.
The "solid south" was a thing up until the 70's or so.
It wasn't until republican social conservitives really took hold, and the civil rights movement made the south switch to republicans.
For instance, my Granparents are still staunchly Democrats, even though they don't agree with anything that the party stands for.
It's really weird how the republicans and democrats completely polarized in just 40 years ago. Your grandparents probably have the strong republican ideas of the old democratic ways.
>The Quintessons creating Primus and both races as slaves is a lot cooler than atechnogenesis or whatever.
I couldn't possibly disgree more. What's cool about the Transformers is that they're aliens first and robots second. They don't hold the normal function of robots in science fiction. To then say they're origin was just like any other robot origin in sci-fi takes away their originality.
I've always been a Marvel comics origin kind of guy. Two interdimentional gods seeding the beginnings of artificial life then letting it grow on its own.
>that fucking doujin
I feel conflicted.
He had a Decepticon symbol even when he was frozen in the ice millions of years ago tho. He's also a flying Autobot, an anomaly until the next year, anyway. Since he was built as a Decepticon even in the Marvel comics, it's safe to say that was the original creative bible's description for him. "Autobots are mostly cars, Decepticons are mostly planes, except for this guy, he switched sides."
The thing that annoys me about most of you fuckers is that you forget that we are dealing with a canonical MULTIVERSE, that is also canonically unexplored so as to give Hasbro room to say 'fuck you, we're doing G1 again'.
Meaning all things are possible. ALL things.
Do you like Primus as God of all creation? Hey, there's a vein of 'verse for you. Do you prefer Quintessons fucking with everything? Here's your Big Bang, don't break it this time.
Meaning that there are also universe where bots are born, bots are built, or both. G1-G2-Beast Era was 'both', as you had some bots built, some born from budding system, and some hints here and there to a more human form of hanky-panky.
Also, remember the Allspark exists just to fuck with everything.
No, Starscream gives him the symbol after freeing him. Skyfire crashed on Earth prior to the war and was just a Cybertronian; Megatron even says something about it happening "before our Battle with the Autobots".
>The problem is that they "originality" comes at the expense of a much stronger story.
Were the Quintesson episodes of G1 really that good?
I'mma say yes unless they decide to go full nuts with Spiral's magic. Also,
>Strongarm in an MC-1 Judge color scheme deco
Not a whole lot from what I've seen. Even the art tends to avoid straight-up fucking. Most artists don't want to figure out how a robot has a vagina.
I'm not saying smut doesn't exist, just that there's a surprisingly limited amount of it.
i don't understand the appeal of robots with jiggly breasts. make it look realistic and robotic somehow, fine. but jiggleboobs are a no and gross. same goes for people who draw "fat" transformers.
Yeah, it's kind of a shame. I actually really enjoyed her character, mostly because they did a good job at rounding her up. I thought she was gonna be a no fun allowed by the book eye-rolling humorless pro, and in a way she was, but they also did a great job of balancing that with her eager space cadet personality and exploring the idea of her using her law book as a tether to Cybertron, her own way to cope with being away from home. It made for a much more likeable, enjoyable character than I thought she'd end up being.
Her going full-on catty bitch mode when Windblade showed up was shit tho'.
>No liking fat robots
To be fair, she wasn't by the books and it was going against everything Strongarm was taught or suggesting. For example, when Windblade didn't mind if a few humans got hurt when apprehending Zizza. At least she got over it in the end.
See, that's exactly what bothered me about that episode. It would have made perfect sense for Strongarm to be mad at Windblade because she endangered humans and thought she was too cool for procedure (which even Sideswipe follows, when prompted to). Instead, the episode made it look like Strongarm was just angry at not being the only girl in the team any more. They had a perfect source of conflict and differing opinions but didn't use it as much as "lol you just jelly my helly".
But yeah, the ep's resolution was great stuff.
>Not wanting to caress smooth metal pectorals of metal alien men and offer a good buffing.
No anon. It is YOU who disgust me.
>metal pectorals of metal alien men
>unfitting boobs on robots
>Going full IDW Star Saber
Kinda want to see that.
I was prepared for the worst and thought it was going to be like when Windblade first shows up only an entire show of her doing nothing but one-upping the boyz, so it was both a relief and really interesting to see her be kind of average and round off and compliment a group of specialized individuals without stepping on anyone's toes.
Yeah, overall RiD felt pretty decent in that aspect. They had tons of stuff that could've gone horribly wrong or cliche but went for more subdued solutions more often than not. They never went much further than that but at least it wasn't a chore to watch through.
No way that bellyshirt is regulation.
>RiD is canceled
Wait, you're kidding me, right?
prime is what you get when the allspark takes the place of a unit's logical and memory cores. Their personality remains roughly the same.
as far as gladitorial autobots go, I'm sure after market modifications are a big hit.
I mean, *I* personally really love the Killing Jar and The Quinesson Journal, but the Quintessons didn't create Cybertronians in Marvel UK continuity and still got to be great villains in Space Pirates.
It kinda amuses me that the old fanon reconciliation of "Primus created Cybertronians, he just let them be invaded and branwashed by Quintessons for millions of years because reasons" has become canon, albeit at the cost of the stupidity that is "Quintus Prime". I'd much rather Quintessons-creating-Transformers-as-living-weapons over THAT any day.
Really, either way you look at it, the Transformers are equally "special" inasmuch as they're races created as weapons that then struggled and found a greater destiny. Whether they were weapons created by Primus to fight Unicron in his stead or weapons/slaves created by the Quintessons to be sold.
And I love the idea of Transformers, as an alien culture, having as many different belief systems as humans do and while some Transformers believe in Primus, the Lord of the Light Gods, some believe that's just a myth based around a megacomputer called Vector Sigma, or that they evolved from naturally occurring gears and pulleys, or believers in the vision quests of the controversial Rodimus Prime who claims they were all built by horrible warmongering aliens. And I like the idea of a race of tentacled horrors that are actually cosmic swindlers.
I interpreted is as Maighread Scott getting meta and writing Windblade as a blatant Mary Sue - she's a chosen one magical girl snowflake singled out by their GOD, is completely awesome at everything, and is immediately beloved by most of Team Bee. And Strongarm wasn't taken in her by her and was actively bothered by all that bullshit. I thought it was pretty amusing.
The best possible origin story for The Transformers is
>Quintessons create Vector Sigma
>Vector Sigma is used to create Primus
>Primus is used to create Cybertronians
>Cybertronians rise up against Quintessons
>And I love the idea of Transformers, as an alien culture, having as many different belief systems as humans do and while some Transformers believe in Primus, the Lord of the Light Gods, some believe that's just a myth based around a megacomputer called Vector Sigma, or that they evolved from naturally occurring gears and pulleys, or believers in the vision quests of the controversial Rodimus Prime who claims they were all built by horrible warmongering aliens. And I like the idea of a race of tentacled horrors that are actually cosmic swindlers.
As much as I dislike of the idea of Quintessons for making Cybertronians less alien I am really curious how the comics are going to pull them off.
Yeah, it's a pretty classic plot, but what bothered me is that they had a perfect reason for Strongarm not liking her and didn't focus on it as much as they could've, in my opinion. Still not nearly as bad as it could've gone, and everyone walked out of it looking pretty good.
>There's a reason your General is banned.
The tfg is not banned you hilarious moron, it just runs out of normal discussion and sages, then waifu threads pop up until the next one. Are you so new you don't know this?
There its nothing to discuss atm
Hey man. 2016 is not going easy on anyone. Don't jinx on Peter Cullen's life.
>like the Geewunners said when beast Wars showed up

You literally do this all the time.
Im just here for pics man, calm your ass flames.
Despite the triggered-to-hell anon who freaked out over a gay joke, can't we all agree all bots are beautiful to fap to?
fapping to robots is life
>Sex robots will be a thing within the decade.
So, what will you make yours look like /co/? Will you go for more mechanical or human like appearance?
... Maybe you wanna have it look like a certain Transformer?
i already knoe what i want
>... Maybe you wanna have it look like a certain Transformer?
We got body pillows. It's just one step closer...
Is there more like this?
※ dispatch to another country is not accepted. Please note.
Looks like you'd need a middle-man service.
It works the other way too anon: prove that they do.
We have more evidence that they don't than they do anyway so good luck with that.
> Wheelie's backstory in some versions mentions his crashing on Quintessa with his parents.

straight from G1. Pretty sure that trumps your headcannons.
>> Wheelie's backstory in some versions mentions his crashing on Quintessa with his parents.
>>The second is more explicit: At the end of the JapaneseVictorymanga, we find out that Deathsaurusand his forces have been fighting all this time for the sake of his wife Esmeryl, the wives and sisters of the other Decepticons, and all their many children.
Neither is explicit in the slightest, nor does it mention sex.
>>Apart from this, the best case for sexual reproduction in the species could probably be made fromBeast Wars, whereRattrapmakes numerous off-color remarks throughout the series, especially directed at SilverboltandBlackarachnia. These comments strongly hint at something sex-like among Transformers, though it could, of course, be merely recreational rather than reproductive.
Mentioned already in this very thread and disproved: the shows creators have flat out said that that was humor for themselves and the older viewers, not to be taken seriously or canonically.
Sorry to burst your own headcanon and fantasies about transformers having sex. Also you used the wrong "canon".
>mfw I can't remember an old Japanese anime with giant sentient alien robots and one of them ended up getting a western robot woman pregnant. He ended up with triplets.
This is gonna bother me all night but anyways, I really wish America was more relax on shit like this.
>mfw I can't remember an old Japanese anime with giant sentient alien robots and one of them ended up getting a western robot woman pregnant. He ended up with triplets.
The Brave of Gold: Goldran is what you're thinking of
You realize that it never explicitly says that humans reproduce sexually in Transformers fiction either, right?
>Also you used the wrong "canon".
>being this retarded
Tumblr, please go and stay away
>You realize that it never explicitly says that humans reproduce sexually in Transformers fiction either, right?
Ok then, if that's the thin grey area you need so you can get off at night, go right ahead. But I wouldn't try talking to show creators or writers and use that as your "proof".
>Tumblr, please go and stay away
Newfag please, pic very related.
There's plenty of woman, but because they're over 30. Japan has this weird mindset about woman over that age and being unmarried has being undesirable or something along those lines.
every argument there was already discussed here >>79002899 and here >>79003029 and to me, lack of proof of sex among humans doesnt mean the robots have sex too and arent telling us
sex not shown in one species =/= sex not being shown in another, especially in one where it makes no sense
your link proves nothing senpai
>anon trying to prove there is robot sex
>they don't realize they're trying to prove that with a 99.9% male population that means that 99.9% of that sex is gay sex
I didn't say it was you crazy autistic goose
>Unicron forces Primus to become planet
>Primus makes the 13
>Unicron gets turned into a planet
>The Oracle/Allspark make the first inhabitants of Cybertron (a.k.a. Primus)
>As time goes on the 13 are simply myths and the planet has a good sized population
>Quintessons invade and force the Cybertronians to transform into vehicles and machines as they see fit
>Now Quints are myth
but were just going along with that one anon saying they do have sex
it hasn't been fully revealed but its been hinted that the female types were all killed save for a small handful that made it off planet and established their own colony
those are just now starting to reappear
Remember that time in Animated when Starscream made his clones and asked Slipstream,"What aspect of me are you"? and she replied,"Don't ask".
Yeah, that applies to this situation. Except all Unicron are the same Individual.
I like you.
Goddammit, you jackasses.
It's a multiverse.
All things are possible in it. Have your cake and eat it too. Schrodinger's cat is both dead and alive. Light is both a wave and a particle.
You want an Optimus that's just a bucket of engineered parts? We got that.
You want one with super-sleek organic bits? We got that.
You want one that can create Optimus Juniors with the concerted efforts of a specifically female robot? WE GOT THAT.
And if you want Optimatron sex, that's fine too. Shut the fuck up already, they're robots. Slap a flying dick and 20 lbs of ass and pussy on them and call it a fucking day.
calm down man, we're past that already
right but take that with a grain of salt because they're still dancing around the past and where everyone truly came from and just why the female looking ones suddenly had a huge decrease in population
There could always be more than one way to make new Cybertronians. Hold onto that hope for horror especially since Roberts is also a fan of budding.
The G1 cartoon had females from nearly the beginning. You didn't see them often because they focused on characters that there were toys of, but they existed.
The comics did not have females, becuase Simon Furman hated the idea of "alien robots having gender" (though you might as well have the same issues with them being humanoid or speaking English.) Arcee was created in the comics by Optimus to appease a bunch of angry feminists who complained they were sexist.
Animated and Aligned/Prime/RiD all had females from the start as well.
In IDW Furman introduced "crazy trannie Arcee," who was a male robot who got forcibly sex changed to introduce gender to Cybertron. They retcon this as saying that all the women went out with the colonies or were killed, so Arcee was just a reintroduction of females to that section of the race.
There have been female Transformers for much longer than there hasn't been. There's just a very vocal (insane) subgroup of the fandom who desperately hates the idea of fembots.
Why is Furman so insane when it comes to large primary-colored transforming robots? Has this ever been delved into? Is he to Transformers what Chris-chan is to Sonic?
>to introduce gender to Cybertron.
to introduce the female gender to Cybertron, male was already present. Furman doesn't know how to into gender, he had two conflicting ideas on the same page.
>More like he's the Penders to Transformers.
oh god why does this make so much sense.
See, I actually really liked Furman up until recently, but he's just gotten too in touch with the Tumblr side of the fandom. I didn't even hate Rewind/Chromedome and Cyclonus/Tailgate, but he's gotten much less subtle and much more pandering as time has gone on.
I think he's a good writer with some good ideas, but he seems like a bit of a pushover. I mean, look at his twitter conversations with that Tumblr chick that's obsessed with autism
>tumblr side of the fandom. RW/CD and others
>Why is Furman so insane when it comes to large primary-colored transforming robots? Has this ever been delved into? Is he to Transformers what Chris-chan is to Sonic?
Nah, it's typical "hard sci-fi" type faggotry. "They're aliens so they shouldn't be like us," you know? He tried to make them more alien now and again, but it never took. It's hard to write stories that people can relate to when you intentionally make the characters unrelatable.
>he thinks that female robots dont make sense
It sort of reminds me of how Bay hates the Dinobots because they "don't make sense."
This is an apt comparison.
Despite Furman's failings, he gave the franchise direction, made a lot of characters who they are today, and he was a boon to the whole thing for many years. It's just like Penders- for as shit as he was, it should be said that it was his idea to turn the Sonic comic from a gag comic into an action/adventure one, which is what has kept it going for all this time.
The problem with some writers is that they don't really evolve their storytelling as they go, or take things too personally,
I meant Roberts. Somebody had posted something about Furman while I was typing and I had him on my mind.
See, I actually really liked JAMES ROBERTS up until recently, but he's just gotten too in touch with the Tumblr side of the fandom. I didn't even hate Rewind/Chromedome and Cyclonus/Tailgate, but he's gotten much less subtle and much more pandering as time has gone on.
I think he's a good writer with some good ideas, but he seems like a bit of a pushover. I mean, look at his twitter conversations with that Tumblr chick that's obsessed with autism
he's just too polite of a guy. he still follows that one autism obsessed chick who frequently bashes on him publicly for whatever reason. it's like he feels obligated to be kind to these people even if they shit on him. i feel bad for the guy honestly.
I really do think hes afraid to unfollow or block her, imagine if she killed herself ir somethibg stupid over it, i think hes worried about that because its already clear she's unstable.
He can be as polite as he wants to people, but it becomes a problem when it starts affecting his writing. I don't think it's necessarily that he's getting bullied into pandering, though- I think it's that the relationships set up at the beginning of MTMTE got a lot of attention, so he's trying to recapture that.
Mechanical. I want a robot not android shit.
That is Shattered Glass Primus and Gaia.
With the classicverse spin off of Marvel, Earth is revealed to be a giant robot covered in dirt, much like Prime's Unicron. However this is the long undiscovered Gaia, previously seen on a t-shirt from an unofficial con.
That's her transforming into her robot mode.
Personally I don't find the Quint origin makes them less alien. And I certainly prefer it to the Primus one, which seems to be the case in the majority of canon universes.
I just like the idea of emergent intelligences, and how religion would develop once they drive off their creators.
I think the best option is one where their origins are lost, where even the oldest bots weren't online when the first cities had rusted over.
Where they find ancient ruins, and ascribe them to god like creators. They see the Great Dome of Iacon, filled with glittering spires, and to them it was obviously once the home of the gods (with how many of them depending on if they're Primalist, Unicronist, Handist, or any number of other faiths)
The Well of All Sparks, the most holy spot on Cybertron, rather than being where Solus Prime met her fate and melted to the core, is more likely a Hot Spot, certainly the oldest, if not the first. It's just been mined over the aeons, removing every trace of spark and Cybermatter.
Is this the one that you were talking about?
These robots turn into functional vehicles with laser guns and whatever kind of rotating or glowing melee weapons they want. To think they couldn't make a penis, vagina, ass hole or mouth and tie pleasing sensations to it after all that is naive. They might not NEED to have sex, but I bet they DO. Whether or not it leads to children is another subject entirely. Just because family shows never show penetration doesn't mean there isn't (it also doesn't mean there is) but if they don't have sex in a biological sense they probably have some kind of digital plug sex instead.
Never had a robot fetish until I watched Transformers Prime and saw Arcee.
Actually, although you can't see it, that Optimus has purple Autobot symbols, just as the Megatron has a red Decepticon one. Because those are the shattered glass versions. So the Megs is good, and the Op is evil.
Of course, now they're Nova Prime and Galvatron, and both are good.
There's currently around 5 comics, set in 3 continuities.
There's the RID comic, which is basically the same as the show.
There's the 3 or so IDW comics. MTMTE, EX-RID, and whatever has Windblade in at the moment.
Then there's Transformers vs GI Joe.
>Of course, now they're Nova Prime and Galvatron, and both are good.
Ok now I am confused...
how shatered glass works?
I only have read the cliffjumper one where he switches dimensions, but now you say that they are both good, how did that happened...
>all these strongarm fags
There is only one true hottest fembot
Wrong spider-bot, anon.
Well...it is possible for humans to have sex with ponies
>Alleged mass murderer that has killed entire planets before
>Is smaller than the generic cars and gets beaten in a fight by an even smaller being with less limbs regularly
Airachnid is an embarrassment to her race and should commit ritual suicide
>tfw you're giant robot husbando will never have kids with you
I didn't ask for this feel
Or the planets/people she killed were just that shitty. Imagine what we could be capable of if we found aliens/alien planet with a weaker gravity than Earth. Think of it like Superman, on his actual planet he's ordinary, but on Earth he's like a god.
Do people even like Bumblebee?
In recent years, I realize I like it better when he's not around, and from what I've observed, it feels as though he's only always around because whoever's making the cartoon feels he's "necessary."
Prime got dumped out of SkyLynx by Rodimus, met up with Shattered Glass Unicron.
Since (post singularity) SG Unicron is a good guy, he rcleared out Prime's head of his insanity when giving him an upgrade. Prime is now good (although still not exactly nice), along with his minions, the Knights of Unicron.
I like bumblebee as long as he looks like a silly guy, it's really cute and makes you think about bees.
>mfw MTMTE will now have letters pages
Because what possibly could go wrong, rite?
You see the problem with Bumblebee is he's obviously an Acolyte of Unicron. Just look at his horns and bright yellow colouration.
This is why he works as a scout, long hours away from base, little contact with the more... devoted primalists amongst the Autobots. This is despite the fact that the branch of Unicronism he follows treats the Devourer as a metaphorical figure of liberation. Not as an actual divine entity. They use his iconography, such as the devouring maw as symbols of them rejecting Primus' covenant.
Naturally, with this "no, fuck you dad" attitude, it's no wonder he gets on well with human teenagers.
It had letters pages in the past too, up through the 2nd season when they weren't getting enough letters to continue it. Everything went fine, but they were screening what they posted too. How new are you?
Don't make smug statements about things you don't know about then maybe? But yes it's pretty well known the letters pages ran up until just after the original annual came out when fewer and fewer people were writing in and they discontinued it. They're only bringing it back now as a special deal for the 50th. It should go just fine as long as the screen out all the autists.
sorry your headcannons were proved wrong, tumblrista trannie
Are we talking about pregnant transformers?
Why are these "artists" wholly incapable of anatomy.
Some folks are into hyper proportions.
man, I wanna do lewd things to Strongarm
Just gotta make her our flavor of the week again.
That's what I try for, so thanks.
Also for more fun, the back of Bumblebee's head/back of his vehicle mode. Fan, or unicronian maw?
(obviously the former)
There's a bunch depending on continuity. Current IDW has it that organics hate robotic life because their wars fuck everything up for millions of years. Megatron's cons taking over other worlds with infiltration makes Cybertronians particularly hated.
>i don't understand the appeal of robots with jiggly breasts
I like it when sexy robots have tits/ass/any other "fleshy" bits that look and act like they're made of thick rubber or some sort of pliant plastic around some sort of viscous jell
Like, they're not hard and ridged but they're as soft as flesh, won't jiggle around but you can press into them, and look like something that could belong on a machine
>in the Jap dub they made her a Pepe/Fifi type character that chased after jack and wanted to /ss/ him
Honestly, I'm more disturbed how easily a slasher movie parody turns into a Pepe Le Pew parody just by changing the dialogue.
Although god DAMN Japanese Airachnid's voice actress is annoying as hell.
Wow, that was... not what I wanted. At all.
Airarchnid trying to /ss/ Jack to death should have been way more arousing than that. Instead it was just... irritating. Why do none of the characters ever stop TALKING? Like, nobody in that dub would shut up for five seconds even when their lips weren't moving in a freakin' closeup.
I didn't know 4Kids had a Japanese division.
>but they're as soft as flesh
Meant to say not as soft as flesh
Thanks, I don't get why it's not more common, I mean there are more things that go in machines than just metal
Yes. Seats, plastic, coolant and fuel tanks, airbags, rubber. I mean right now we have all those Japanese robots that are covered with rubberized skin. And when you look to sci-fi, there's stuff like Star Trek Voyager's CPUs being biological gel packs.
Considering the general on /toy/ is a bunch of retarded manbabies complaining about lack of G1 accuracy or whining at the 3rd party guys for having more money, and the generals here are just....fucking creepy at best...
What the fuck about the fans who just want to talk about the old cartoons or whatever? Christ even /m/ can have a more solid discussion without devolving into tumblr antics and/or fetish shit.
>all that discussion about gay robots and genders
Is this what you guys do all the time?
Because the primary source of Transformers fiction at the moment (the IDW comic) is all about pushing that LGBTQ shit.
Jesus, Roberts. Did you miss any?
Swear to god I picked up MTMTE because of the DJD and was not disappointed, even the scavengers were a fantasically fun thing to read about. And then after Dark Cybertron it just....good god. I mean, all the gayness was lightly implied before that and now it's just all LOOK AT IT. Was even insanely hyped for Sakamoto drawing a chapter or two to at least get the cutest possible incarnation of Tailgate, and instead with Roberts' assistance, manages to make some of the scariest most edgelord badasses into a bunch of pussy faggots wanting to broker peace with traitors and just.....christ. It all started out so good, how did it get so bad?
>literally make babies
The way he describes it in Eugenesis is amazing. Budding is cool.
I think it's totally still possible to happen, in a way. Budding can be a new thing. OR as I suspect, matrix-bleeding is sort of an analogy for it. Sort of.
Yeah he's gotten a bit self-indulgent. I think that's because he doesn't really hear from other fans than the more obsessed ones. I recommend writing to him.
>Christ even /m/ can have a more solid discussion without devolving into tumblr antics and/or fetish shit.
That's because /m/ doesn't give a fuck about tumblr or any of that stuff. Literally best board on 4chan.
Worst toy? Nah.
One of em yeah, and in either case hottest fembot.
>Considering the general on /toy/ is a bunch of retarded manbabies complaining about lack of G1 accuracy or whining at the 3rd party guys for having more money
That's very Tumblr of you, but I've never seen that happen on /toy/. Most of the time it's the turds shitposting about how much they hate hasbro.
>and the generals here are just....fucking creepy at best...
That's what happens when you give Tumblr free reign.
>What the fuck about the fans who just want to talk about the old cartoons or whatever? Christ even /m/ can have a more solid discussion without devolving into tumblr antics and/or fetish shit.
You answered your own question. Either /m/ or /toy/. On /m/ you can talk about the fiction without shitposters telling you to come here, but /toy/ is still pretty good sometimes.
What I think that's funny is that he was so busy filling his book with fags that he forgot to make any straight couples.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who saw DC as the turning point for the series. A whole bunch of Tumblr girls got obsessed with the book because of the gender shit, so now it feels like the whole book has become about gender. If you're not a Women's Studies major its pretty eyerolling.
>Yeah he's gotten a bit self-indulgent. I think that's because he doesn't really hear from other fans than the more obsessed ones. I recommend writing to him.
But anybody writing in is just going to get shrugged off because "putting LGBTBBQ characters in media is ~important!!" It's an insulated bubble and there's no way to pierce it.
>The way he describes it in Eugenesis is amazing. Budding is cool.
If you have to read the author's fanfic that he wrote 20 years ago in order to follow the plot in the official comic...
The comic is shit.
The writer is shit.
This. I can't get off to robots with soft parts unless they make some sort of sense.
Way too often because there's constantly newfags who need things explained/debated to them.
They are still edgelords despite relaxing sometimes and knowing how to operate.
So writing in doesn't matter? I think it does. JRo is all about hearing from /everyone/, and just planting the ideas there works. If you want to let him know what you like, tell him. Sure not everything will get published, but it will get read.
Wut. You don't need to do that? There's no budding in the comics.
Considering it's my home board, I can't argue that. Just that since it's been years since a genuinely good show we can all be excited about has aired, there's not much to talk about save the 80's threads. Maybe if the old fansubbing team of tripfags gets back together again.
Giving them PDP's was a step too far. I read comics to get away from my work life.
Power Hug man.
To be fair, Combiner Wars has been the most polarizing shit I've seen in ages. The only thing everyone seems to agree on is that Rook is best limb. It's still the best forum on the net to talk about transformers since you can actually speak your mind without getting banned for not shilling, but it's still a fucking unfriendly place compared to the 3PG.
>Giving them PDP's was a step too far. I read comics to get away from my work life.
Heh, that's a subjective complaint I definitely can understand. The point was though that Tarn seems to be very bureaucratic, so that reinforced the point.
Still, I feel like #39 was a peek issue, and the next time we see DJD in Dying of the Light, it'll be the stuff you want to see.
Hopefully. I'm a fairly big fan of Victory as well so seeing Brestforce and Dinoking in action will be amazing if it happens. Just that at this point I'm expecting to be massively disappointed. Virtually every plotline that was interesting ages ago has been resolved and characters like Hound and Hot Spot that have been part of the crew since the beginning haven't even had more than a single line. At this point with the introduction of new, boring characters, it feels like MTMTE has passed its' peak by a considerable degree. Only crew members left that I even care about are Rodimus and Ten.
You fucking faggot. You need to remember it was a different time, and there are a lot of older Transformers with much worse gimmicks. His bug mode is fucking amazing.
>To be fair, Combiner Wars has been the most polarizing shit I've seen in ages.
I'll agree on that. I think Combiner Wars has been pretty good, but it's brought in a hell of a lot of shitposting since Combiners have been the bread and butter of 3P for a long time now. Especially with Devestator, there's a lot of guys who feel like their purchases have been invalidated by the existence of official low cost alternatives.
I really should start a thread over on /m/.
Fun Fact: Airachnid in the Japanese dub is voiced by non other than Ryoka Yuzuki, Lady Satsuki from Kill la Kill.
It's happened a few times, like with Powerglide or Ironhide and his GF in the old comics.
Best be careful about saying you want straight people in comics, though. You'll summon THEM
/aco/ is the home of Transformers lewds.
>yfw Rattrap's great aunt is Arcee
>yfw his great uncle is
I love the CW stuff. Yeah, it's a bit repaint heavy, but EVERY incarnation of Transformers shat out repaints by the dozen anyway. The individual combiner teams all have their own quirks, but for the quality and the price, the line is amazing. The only "meh" combiner in the whole line is Motormaster/Prime, and only because their first releases had bad hip ratchets, and even without the first release, they're very top heavy compared to the others whose weight is distributed more evenly, putting them in less danger of doing a header off your shelf into brokesville.
And despite all that he's STILL at least a solid C+, maybe B- toy. Very much worth owning.
I just want more variety. There's already several straight ships, CybertronianxCamien and other worlds. Even the gay Cyb pairs go along the lines of small gay and big gay, which is sort of stereotypy (but based on a real dynamic).
So I'm hoping for a gay cybertronianxcamien pairing, more lesbians, and all sorts of TF x human ones.
Right now in the comics we have most hope for Stakeout and Verity.
Straight people are alright, it's just that IDW TFs are supposed to be gay so it's kind of weird to have so many of them be suddenly straight. Balance, man.
Basically what >>79022686 said, firm but squishy rubber or plastic
FemTransformer X human /ss/ and MILFdom when?
>It's happened a few times, like with Powerglide or Ironhide and his GF in the old comics.
I meant Female transformer X male human
You see some Male transformer on female human but almost no actual smut of female transformer X male human
This assumes they "breed" and don't just build new robots with the builder/previous generation denoted as the parent.
Regardless, the offspring will be whatever faction they're denoted as by their builder(s), which could be neither faction, or a new faction, or either faction. And at a later point, the offspring may choose to change factions. It's like religion.
Yes. They often do actually. But to be fair, comics canon changes quite a lot. Cartoon canon has its inconsistencies, but are surprisingly consistent given that they're mostly episodic.
I'm surprised no one has brought up Kiss Players, but I guess Prime getting molested by women doesn't count as reproduction.
Didn't Animated also have a caste system? Like Autobot weapons were either designed to be non-lethal or were mainly utility based, and in addition to being airborne, most Decepticons towered over Autobots.
Perhaps it's because I was raised on old American sci-fi from Doc Smith, Asimov, and the like but I actually prefer the Quintesson origin. When you think about it what it more impressive? An inanimate machine race gaining sapience, freeing themselves from servitude, and then through untold ages developing some kind of silicon soul while forging, building, and forgetting entire theologies and cultures to get us to the Cybertronian we have today or that giant robot space god decided that he wanted to take a nap and grew some mechs to fight his fight for him.
>Now what about an Autobot and a Human?
I guess it only happened in G1 but IDW wise aside from friendships and some need to protect their human companions I don't see much of anything happening beyond that.
Doesn’t mean they can't form a meaningful bond, Verity managed to win over a lot of bots as we have seen in the Wreckers series and even Magnus has her as his avatar because he cares about her a lot, and the moment she passes it's going to be really heartbreaking.
That said I watched reruns of G1 when I was a kid and I always liked Spike and Bee's friendship in G1 even later on when Spike got old they were always together and I felt that even after he Spike is gone Bee was going to watch over his Daniel and then Daniel's kids and so on just because Spike lived on through them.
But that's about it, nothing sexual though, Cybertronians would probably find sex to be very gross.
The moment Jack's mother entered the scene, it instantly killed whatever was going on between them.
Pity, since it would have been interesting to see them go a bit deeper into the human x bot thing.
Kiss Players is borderline pedo and no I don't care if they made the girls be in their twenties they are drawn like they were 6.
I have yet to meet someone who likes Kiss Players, it's creepy.
