Kairi from Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's better female heroines of recent times. She's also qt.
He was saved by Riku in KH DDD. It's Aqua who Mickey refused to save in 2.8 for whatever unexplained reason. And KH3's tutorial is likely Young Xehanort because Nomura said the first thing you'll see in KH3 as soon as you hit New Game is Young Xehanort and Young Eraqus talking over the prophecy with the keyblade war.
On a separate note, it finally happened. Gaston showed up in KH.....but it's in KH X that browser game. He creates an animalistic Heartless to defeat.
>Namine from Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's better female heroines of recent times.
>Xion from Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's better female heroines of recent times.
>Aqua from Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's better female heroines of recent times.
FTFY. Pick your favorite.
Kairi can get that distinction after she actually gets to play more of an active role in the story and get development, not be comatose in most of the first game, waiting/kidnapped for most of II, not doing anything in any of the other games besides being Sora's most precious memory and getting to meet Aqua, and only as part of the teaser in one game is stated to now need training with a keyblade.
Nomura said numbered games are Sora Games. So expect Sora to do the bulk of the work. At best you get tid bits with other playable characters. But nothing like their own campaigns.
Sora got about half of DDD, not counting a few extra final bosses for Riku.
Besides, it'd be nice if it was like II where you get to play as other keyblade wielders even if its only temporary and for certain bosses.
Training or doing anything (like Namine was still able to affect things in the plot) would've been welcomed before now.
Plus its not like training was a real prerequisite before. Sora and Riku did just fine when their only experience was playing with fake swords, Roxas just needed to learn from the tutorial, and Xion didn't really need training.
Also, >calling Rey a mary sue for not having done training before being able to use the force
>Luke does one training exercise on the Millenium Falcon and is able to blow up the Death Star the first time he uses an X-wing by using it
>Anakin was fathered by the force and has more force power than Yoda as a child
Yokai is not the villain. In KH3 it was revealed that the villain was Baymax's left over body that's taken over by the Heartless. They even released an image if I remember right.
Shit you're right. But the microbots are there so it's all good.
>another princess who gets kidnapped and can't handle herself
I can't even name one instance where she's useful.
She doesn't get kidnapped in 1, because she makes sure the bad guys can never get what they actually want (her heart) by hiding in Sora. She gets kidnapped twice in 2, but escapes both times on her own.
Avoiding kidnapping by putting yourself in a coma isn't actually that impressive.
And Namine was the one who rescued her in the Castle that Never Was (Namine being her nobody I don't think counts as rescuing herself on her own).
Now you're talking BS. First time? Riku enabled her escape with a corridor of darkness. Second time? It was Namine who bailed her out with another corridor of darkness. And don't say Namine is Kairi, they're really laying it on thick that Namine is her own person.
>Gaston finally in KH
>Its in the mobile game
>KH3 focusing on only newer Disney releases
>no come-from-behind surprise cult following world like Nightmare Before Christmas in KH1 or Tron in KH2
>Yen Sid is telling Riku and Kairi to prepare, as they have to retrieve Terra, Aqua, and Ventus
>Riku achieved Keyblade Master rank and no longer needs instruction
>It's implied Yen Sid will tutor Kairi and Lea, being neophyte keyblade wielders
>Sora is off on his own, but knows he has to help rescue their predecessors
>Freeing Kairi's heart in KH1 required Sora to release his own heart and become a Heartless
So will they have to rip Sora apart again to rescue Ventus, Ansem, Roxas, and Xion?
Wasn't the "keyblade of peoples' hearts" an incomplete keyblade, as it was constructed from the princesses' hearts but without Kairi's?
Or was that keyblade utterly inconsequential and all its powers were given to all keyblades since?
>Kairi from Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's better female heroines of recent times.
>BBS: Lost little girl
>KH1: gets captured, kinda saves sora then back to sora story.
>CoM: Minor place in the story, basically just Namine
>KH2: Captured and then saved by Riku who gives her a keyblade unlocking he latent keyblade abilities
She's basically nothing though, Namine has more back story. She's maybe one step above Belle. Mulan is better
>That one part at the end of KHII where she's actually useful.
>That part at the end of KH3D that implies she's going to get training
Betcha she's totally sidelined for the entire game as Riku and Sora get the spotlight. She's the Sakura of Kingdom Hearts.
>not Lea usurping her as the focused neophyte Keyblade wielder
He even has more conflict poised for the next game compared to her.
It's a shame they had to scrap the animated series. It was even going to be western animated and use some of the original background cells form Aladin. The game's creators decided to shut it down even though test audiences loved it because the story wasn't a 1:1 adaptation and they didn't want to confuse fans about the story.
There's the best female of this fucking Earth Faggots, don't ya dare to come here
Maybe it's for the best. I can see Disney doing an animated KH project once Darkseeker Saga concludes. This way they can properly plan everything out and iron out the details.
That actually makes me wonder, would a KH animated project succeed.....as a film?
You want Sora to shake off the gay vibe? Have him take the initiate and kiss Kairi all on his own. It needs to be on the lips and on screen.
No one thinks say Sly Cooper is gay because he's overly straight through sheer character even though he's very attached to his male comrades. No one can pin that gay label on him. Sora needs to man up a bit which is hopeless because a Japanese man created him.
She cycled through 7 people on no real basis past her own selfish bullshit each time
She's an objectively terrible person
reminds me of my ex now that I think about it
Game would have been better if it had Command Menu gameplay. Command Deck IMO destroyed KH's good gameplay reputation. Don't even get me started on the stupid Card Deck from the remake of Chain of Memories. Did SE forget that when you remake something you IMPROVE it?
Anyway, only KH1/2 had solid gameplay.
>Be playing Chain of Memories
>Another Side, Another Story
>Fighting the Riku Replica at Twilight Town
>Card deck is reduced to one last Level 0 Soul Eater card
>It keeps cycling back to that card, so I win the fight by repeatedly using that card alone
Girls getting stuck in places because their hips are too wide?
Because that's my fetish too.
The funny part of this is that Aqua was an idiot. Without a keyblade Sora would stand zero chance at fighting against Riku in any capacity. You could say that Aqua intentionally left Sora weaker than Riku should they ever fight. What a moron.
As far as I know, it was just supposed to be the key Riku got. But he fucked off while Destiny Islands started falling apart, and the Kingdom Key was like, "The fuck do I do now? Hey, this kid looks okay, I'll tag along with him for a bit."
Speaking of keyblades. Look KH fan here and all, but anyone else dislike how the keyblades look? Their handles with double-guards is retarded and they not looking like blades is doubly stupid.
The concept of the keyblade sounds fun right down to the transformation powers, but the default look of the keyblades? Bleh.
only the kingdom key can lock/unlock the door to Kingdom Hearts. The whole climax of the first game was Sora using his Kingdom Key to lock the door from his side, while Mickey used the Kingdom Key of the world of darkness to lock the door on that side
Sadly characters like Kairi are never going to win. I used to think she was a okay character and a good, yet lifeless damsel. But making her a special snowflake cause her heart glows brighter than others: cheap trick, Square Enix. Now she just kinda stands around, contemplating feelings of liking this guy that saved her but since they shared fruit, eh, why not. Sora n Kairi for life. I just hope they dont make her completely useless when shes in the party.
Not exactly. The door can only be closed by a keyblade of light and a keyblade of darkness. King Mickey went off to the Realm of Darkness to get the latter, and Sora started the game with the former.
I'm pretty sure that Kingdom Key D and Master Xehanort's Keyblade are the only keyblades of darkness we know of. Everyone else has a keyblade of light.
But in terms of functionality, they all act the same. The light and dark terminology is just for where the keyblade originated from.
>people who say Xion, Namie, or Aqua are better than this
I'm more concerned of how Sora's personality will change in romantic relationships. Square loves pussy whipped male characters. Cloud is probably the only one who doesn't worship Tifa given how he treated her in Advent Children. Back to point, if Sora starts acting like Finn from Adventure Time you know that it's time to break Sora away from romance.
>At some part of the game, Goofy acts melancholy.
>He reveals he has a son he hasn't seen since before KH1
>They deicde to go back to DIsney Castle and meet Max.
>They take Max to the concert.
>Shit happens in the wilds of Disney Castle.
>But they make it, and we get a powerline minigame.
No, the keyblade of hearts is still needed to open a path to Kingdom Hearts. The only other keyblade with that ability is the x-blade, which is basically just a dark version of it.
How can I experience all of KH, all the feels and fun on PC only?
Post yfw you realized all the princess glass windows in the beginning of KH1 were foreshadowing their hearts hiding in there
It's simple: his naturally weak heart uses the bonds he creates with other hearts to draw strength, so his heart alone can act as a hotel for other hearts this way. Like Riku's and Kairi's, his heart's unique. If I recall right his current tenants are:
The trick is now getting them all out without killing Sora.
Sora is a whore. Sharing his heart with anyone, the tramp.
>We get a surprise new Mickey world in the new shorts' artstyle
>Oswald is the villain in the first run
>Second run he joins you as the guest party member
>Bonus level you play as Mickey
>Eventually a short comes out that shows Sora in that world's artstyle in a cameo background shot
>Namine from Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's better female heroines of recent times.
>from Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's better female heroines of recent times.
>Aqua from Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's better female heroines of recent times.
>pink & heart motif like every other jap female
>OC donut steel from an autistic deviantart crossover
>not even a Disney character
I'm not really seeing how she's good, anon.
Anyone else have this for a guilty pleasure? That is to say, non-Disney properties being used as potential worlds in KH via fanarts? Bonus points if well drawn.
That's the thing I love about KH, since Sora is a world traveler it's easy to inject him into other properties just as if they were Disney ones.
It really isn't hard to follow, just twisted and spiraling out of control.
I still think the first game alone is fantastc, story and gameplay. Enough of the universe is left to mystery so that you think the eerie Heartless have been attacking worlds and consuming their hearts for a long time, and Mickey only recently set out to find out why the stars have been going out. The game doesn't try to explain everything, and lets its charm take control instead.
It's a shame KH can't find another way of progressing plot other than splitting characters into other characters. I got a "week" into 358/2 Days and was just pretty much done with the spinoff games from then on. Shit just got too stupid.
This. The story of the series is convoluted, but it's easy to understand provided that you simply just pay attention. Most of the questions people ask about the plot are explained quite clearly in the games themselves. Hell, the series very frequently has moments of blatant exposition where characters stand around explaining everything that is happening. And then there are things like the Ansem Reports that exist purely as exposition.
That sounds awful. Just have the different worlds have alternate versions of the same location. Gargoyles loses legit cred points if it shares the same world with Oliver & Company.
If what anon said about new movies is true then there is a possibility of
>Princess and the Frog world
>Tangled world (confirmed)
>Wreck it Ralph world
>Big Hero Six world (confirmed)
Which of these would you like and which of these do you not want to see?
I stopped trying to follow the convoluted plot as a child. I liked the main characters but I mostly just kind of wanted them to all reunite and be friends rather than understanding what was going on.
Kairi is a genius. anon!
I'm not sure if ralph's world is solid enough, although candyland might work. Maybe as a part of the Tron Grid? Maybe a racing minigame ala hercules arena?
Princess and frog and frozen are no brainers.
Is Pixar's back catalog in or out? Because Wall-E might be cool.
Kairi is a Disney character. Kingdom Hearts and all characters created for the series is legally owned by Disney, Square just develops the games and the story but Disney has the power to make KH games without Square if they so desired. They did already once.
I feel like episodic would work way better because then each world can be one or maybe a few episodes. Cramming all of that into a single movie would be very difficult to keep from feeling rushed.
Gigantic because KH3 Sora has seriously good jumping and zig zagging abilities. That means traversing the massive environment will not become a chore like the stupid platforming from Ven's Castle of Dreams.
I'd be fine with just Facilier in a substantial role for PatF. I guess a world based on it would be pretty cool too. Wreck-It Ralph, BH6, and Frozen worlds might be fun. Tangled world sounds meh, and there's not enough data for the unreleased movies, but Moana seems like it'd have the most interesting world of them.
I wonder what the story will be after the Darkseeker Saga. Will they go full reboot? Which movies and games will they use? Will they do something different with the villains, or will it all be Xeanhort again?
Anyone else despise the Gummi Ship? The lame design, the pointlessness of Gummi anything, and even the ugly design for interspace is just bad.
If Square Enix was trying to mimic Starfox? They failed. Even Starfox 64 has a cooler vehicle (the Arwing) and a more pleasant aesthetic for space travel.
I liked how in KH1 you could just make your ship a box of weapons and you'd be untouchable. The second game's gummi ship segments were much harder though. I wish they gave you something for completing them.
I would hope all the yaoi fangirls have grown out of it at this point. I honestly do hope they kiss and that there are more friendship moments between the trios. The friendships in the game, between Sora, Kairi, and Riku as well as Sora, Donald, and Goofy was always one of my favorite things about it. I hate how the fans always focused on the edgy shit instead.
>Tons of characters all throughout the series visit the Destiny Islands for important scenes or their own designs
>Only the residents know about the paopu fruit significane
>They never explain it to anyone else and keep it a secret to themselves
>Main villains and offworld heroes thus never bring it up or use it to antagonize Sora with
That was a nice touch.
Riku is a grown ass man now and the other two are right behind him. I kind of miss Kid Sora, actually. Thinking about his high pitched voice and cute little baby face makes me nostalgic for the first time I played through the game.
It'd be funner if they were fucking now though.
Sora's still a kid. 15 years old. He's not legal adult anything. Frankly I cringe at the thought of Sora growing up to adulthood and still mentally remaining the same. Hope SE stops his aging.
And before you say "Nah we love Sora growing up and still hanging with Disney characters!" Remember how Steven Universe fans reacted when it was revealed that Steven was 14 years old. They turned on him for being overly immature. Let's avoid that fate for Sora.
And speaking of which is it just me or is 14 year old Sora's face different in KH1 compared to Re:CoM and DDD?
Steven Universe is a bad character for reasons other than his age but let's not turn this into an anti SU thread.
I don't think Sora is that immature, just slightly cocky and overly friendly.
>fujoshis and gays don't want OT3 ending because they hate qt girls like Kairi
>most dudes don't want OT3 ending because they are straight
>barely any art because of this
Being biscum is suffering.
>Remember how Steven Universe fans reacted when it was revealed that Steven was 14 years old.
Uh, not to derail the thread or anything, but when did that happen? I don't remember anything in the show saying he was that old. Did I miss an episode? Or is that information from a writer tweet or something? I avoid the fandom like the plague so I end up missing stuff like that.
They're hit and miss. Most of the worlds are condensed into the story segments, and CoM part goes off the rails a lot. The Riku Replica even survives it. Still, it's worth a read through.
>And before you say "Nah we love Sora growing up and still hanging with Disney characters!" Remember how Steven Universe fans reacted when it was revealed that Steven was 14 years old. They turned on him for being overly immature.
I typically don't give much of a fuck about the opinions of other fans of whatever I like. I like SU but I avoid the fans like the plague.
How would you people feel if Sora and Kairi for whatever reason decide to simply not hook up? I'm talking nothing happens between them and Kairi goes back to living in Radiant Garden and the two just go their separate ways.
I'd be disappointed if they went their separate ways. If they didn't hook up and just stayed close friends I'd be cool with that but I'll be sad if the ending doesn't have the trio on good terms.
Would make the entire paopu fruit cave drawing scene at the end of KH1 completely pointless. Plus, Kairi considers the Destiny Islands her home world now instead of Radiant Gardenm since she doesn't seem to have any intention of leaving.
I would be pissed but I'm expecting something like that anyway. The story is so far up its own ass at this point that I'm not really as invested as I was when I first played the first game. I wanted Sora to be reunited with his friends, he was, and now I'm just kind of along for the ride.
At rare times Heartless can behave un-Heartless like. In Halloween Town during KH1 before Oogie Boogie tried to control the Heartless, they were innocently dancing around in the town center with Jack. Also in KH2 during Halloween Town the Heartless also were literally shown playing with Christmas presents. So there's some slight sense of empathy there.
Best ending would be Sora and Riku being bros for life while taking turns with Kairi.
Nigger, Kairi's just going to be sitting there with a bored look on her face while Sora and Riku take turns sucking each others dicks. They're flaming gay as shit. Nothing can redeem them.
They did make Larxene way crazier than the game. And even die probably one of the most violent deaths
You guys are going to kill me with this level of cute.
I finished KH2 the other day for the first time (which through a series of complicated events ended up being the last KH game I needed to catch up) at 3 AM and had a massive feels overload
This is too much
One can hope. Nomura is kind of a spur of the moment type of guy. He could easily have Xehanort pop up in some way as either just a taunting reminder of the past hardships Sora has faced, or even as an ally if they have him repent for the shit's he's done.
Though I still just find it hard to imagine there will be another saga, with Sora as the lead no less. Unless keyblades get shelved, how many more times can Sora keep starting out at the bottom?
Sorry to break it to ya, but Nomura confirmed like 5 or so years ago, maybe even more, that there will be another saga. We're basically in the first "chapter" of Sora's adventures.
Yes, after nearly 10 games, we're only now seeing the end of the first saga
Sorry anons i did it again I accidentally a blogged
This is why the "Everyone interacting inside Sora's heart" comics I see give me life
Namine's... Namine's inside Kairi.
Everyone is Sora
Everyone who isn't Sora is already half-Xehanort
He could even keep the ones he cared about... from falling to the darkness.
OSWALD FOR MICKEY'S NOBODY 2016
Well given how 2 ended...
We actually haven't met Arlene/whatever it's going to turn out to be her name is yet iirc so no we don't know her deal and she could come back just as easily later on
>Playing Kingdom Hearts RE:Chain of Memories right now
>Trying to obtain all the Enemy cards.
>everybody going "holy shit she attempted it."
>I'm just going " TURN YOUR FUCKING HIPS YOU RETARD."
She literally doesn't have a freaking heart, what do you expect?
She isn't crazy, my friend. She doesn't know what she is doing because without a heart, you don't have a sense of morality. This doesn't just apply to her but all the Nobodies.
I really like Disney.
I loathed him because he was a goody good two shoes and now I have nothing but hate for him since he killed a person who actually had a good motive for her actions.
Larxene is not crazy, she is too in control of who she is and what she wants to accomplish to be crazy. Sadism is a part of the human condition for thousands of years. There is nothing wrong with wanting to kill someone and reveling in it. It's the act itself that needs to be punished.
That's literally being crazy, ya dense fuck. Sadism is a sign of some kind of psychosis, she's driven to hurt from her incompleteness. That makes her dangerous, but still liable for her actions as she has the capacity to restrain her actions should she be asked to.
Larxene is crazy, and had to be put down
I honestly don't get where you coming from with your high horse, in a perfect world Larxene would have a heart and thus have a conscious of her actions. If you were to call her crazy then you would be calling all the other members of the organization crazy because they all lack hearts as well.
She wouldn't be an axe crazy bitch if she were fully human. Or at least she'd be capable of reasoning since Nobodies lack normal emotions until their new hearts grow in.
Even then, she's not excused from her actions no matter how you bullshit it.
He's the most hardcore motherfucker in the world. I don't like Sora because he is perfect.
You have a very broad meaning of psychopath.
I wish Sora didn't murder her so we could find out whether she would be different if she were fully human. I would wager she would retain her mischievous side but it would be toned down greatly.
And you have a shitty reasoning for saying people who are clearly insane are just "misunderstood".
Also, Larxene is probably alive again. If you actually had a functioning brain, you'd know that when a Nobody and their Heartless counterpart are destroyed, the original person is restored to wherever they first became split. Arlene, or Relena, whatever her Somebody was called, is probably back to her normal life.
You can't murder someone trying to kill you, that's self-defense. Not to mention she does herself in in the manga by trying to use LIGHTNING while wet. Much as I enjoy the crazy broad, I'm not about to pretend she isn't nuttier than squirrel shit
>Wow way to ruin the entire plot of the Nobodies for me, I haven't even gotten to 2 yet.
One, it's your fault for speaking like you've played all the games thus far.
And two, they don't reveal this fact until Dream Drop Distance. Granted, her survival is merely a logical conclusion since her death wasn't any different from the other Org 13 member Sora beat.
Sora attacked her first. He should be the one who should be punished but oh no he is the hero he can kill anyone who is different. Also I read the manga, she tried but couldn't stop herself.
When the hell have I ever said I played all the games?
Eh, probably wasn't going to play it anyways.
>if you kill a nobody and heartless, they come back to life as their normal person
>if you kill the normal person, they become a heartless/nobody
So basically, the series is poorly written. Since nobody can ever die, there's no stakes to be had.
That's only if your heart gets taken tho. If i were to shoot a normal person it likely wouldn't do anything wacky except send them to the Underworld with Hades, or whatever afterlifes there are.
Except Anakin wasn't more powerful he had the potential. Fuck you and everyone who only ever watched the movies.
And Luke had been wanting to be a pilot his whole life
Also a Nomura interview several months back kind of confirmed the fan theory that Kaira can fight but Sora was too beta to challenge her in KH1. Nomura describes her as the 3rd strongest person on the islands and this was before she got a keyblade.
I don't think you know what a heart in KH is. It's not a Soul. It's your connections, memories, and experiences with others that help form who you are. Also nobodies eventually get a heart back btw. It's likely she had hers already by that time according to DDD
But Sora saw him in a vision in DDD, like Xion, Ven, and Roxas. By definition both Xion and Vanitas shouldn't exist at all anymore, but some part of them still does if Sora can see them.
Xion exists because her own memories of herself haven't completely faded and her chain of memories are tied to Sora's.
Vanitas was apparently just because Xehanort triggered the darkness in Ven's heart. Although Nomura could have just been obfuscating .
It's pretty much established by now that anyone who's been an independent person despite actually being a part of someone else will come back.
Also they need an excuse to remaster Vanitas' GOAT battle themes
That is incorrect. As mentioned earlier, Square created Kingdom Hearts but Disney owns the rights to the IP as well as all characters created for the series. Disney once made an old cellphone game about ten years ago without SE's involvement and they have the right to do something like that again if they had any desire to do so.
Nope. Polygamy is the new "gay rights" after gay rights, but human nature will NEVER support a stable triple relationship. Mainly, if it goes south, the negative effect is tripled rather than just doubled.
A triple marriage that fails results in even more legal and drama trouble. A triple partnership has a greatly higher risk of jealousy. I mean, couples are bad enough when one accuses the other of liking someone more than themselves. Add another person in that mess, and one will ALWAYS be favored more than the other. Even the most perfect triple will favor one over the other in time.
Triples will never become mainstream, no matter what Superman-led Communist-revolution happens.
This isn't to say people can't have relationships with more than one person. I'm talking about the triple that 'loves' everyone in that triple. I'm talking about sex, fucking.
I'm reminded of that multi partnership/polygamous family in Caprica. They had to roll over each other in bed to kiss each other good morning. It was all just silly, and that's what polygamy is.
All that was said was that nobodies could potentially grow new hearts and that a select few (like Roxas and Xion) did so. But it's unlikely the majority of the Organization managed to grow back their hearts entirely before Sora defeated them all.
I dunno man Axel's entire character arc is "ROXAS YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND but wait I can't have friends because no heart BUT SERIOUSLY I LOVE YOU ROXAS NO HOMO"
I'm actually one Lingering Will fight away from finishing my play-through of KH2 so this shit is fresh in my memory. Like half the game is the Nobodies excusing their actions by going "Lol we have no emotions so we can't feel bad" and then having melodramatic emotional outbursts when they fail.
That's sort of part of it. The Organization Nobodies all remembered the emotions from their past lives as humans, so they could form simulated responses to fool people. But by KHII they were pretty much growing their own hearts as individuals, which is why Roxas bailed and Axel sought to revive Roxas after he re-merged with Sora. These hearts were carried over when they were revived as humans again.
Xion isn't a Nobody though. She always had her own heart from the beginning.
Wow lesson learned. KH fans on /co/ are active during the dead of night. Expected this thread DEAD by now.
BTW, anyone else hard pressed to get the PS4 for KH3? One game for a whole new console? Ehh.
Save it. Samus from Metroid started the franchise as already a veteran bounty hunter yet she always loses her weapons/upgrades and needs to re-get them and the new ones. I think gamers are entitled and spoiled, they need to be told:
"Sora starts at LV1 because it's a new game and get over it."
Axel is the biggest example but I don't buy it's just a matter of simulated responses. Like for example, Larxene is really obviously supposed to be a sadist, but sadism requires the ability to derive pleasure from causing pain, and you need a heart to derive pleasure. Xemnas keeps talking about how he's going to harness hate and rage and all that BS when don't you need hearts to feel that shit? Then there';s whatever the hell Saix's deal is. We're supposed to believe he's emotionless when his class is literally called Berzerkers?
If they're trying to show these characters as unfeeling or emotionless then they probably should've done more like Kairi back in KH1 where her body essentially turned into a zombie.
KH1 was the straw that broke the camel's back on the PS2 for me, but this time it seems like if you want any game by any Japanese developer then you're gong to end up getting a PS4. I've already got a minimum of six titles I'll be grabbing when I upgrade.
You know what I'd like to see? Kairi teaching Sora AHEM how women fight. Translation I want Sora to repeatedly kiss Kairi on the lips til he's numb and he no longer sees anything special with kissing.
We've all seen it, a male hero is fighting a woman and she kisses him to make him drop his guard. But that wouldn't work if Kairi teaches Sora how to not drop his guard in that area.
We don't know what most of the Org was like before they either started having begrudging hearts or had a piece of Xehanort in them.
Like Axel probably had one towards the end, but in Re:CoM he seemed pretty sociopathic.
The thing with Xemnas is he possibly already had a heart or at least he was being influenced heavily by Terra since Xehanort's heart was busy being Ansem.
>Sora asks Xemnas if he eremember that there's more to heart than hate and rage
>He says No
>Lingering Will says the only thing it has left are rage and hatered towards Xehanort
If it makes you feel any better it's not uncommon to see Sora shipped with female characters from other franchises. People see "Cross over kid" and they go crazy because Sora travels worlds.
Reminder hearts are not just objects that help you feel emotion. They are the manifestation of one's feelings during their experiences and memories they share with others.
All Nobody's act like Zombies at first due to their heart being gone, but as more experiences Coke, so do more feelings during those experiences, and so they regain a heart.
It's a not so subtle metaphor for people going through emotional tragedy, then, if their will is strong enough, moving on.
The reason Hearts works well with Disney is those movies made anyone who saw them as a kid feel emotions through them, as the characters experiences were shown.
>a person who actually had a good motive for her actions
I was honestly thinking Lumaria too but thought it might be too girly, and it reminded me of gundam for some reason.
Anyway for the two of them I think whatever world they call home will probably decide what their names are meaning whatever fits better with other things named there.
If there isn't a Wall-E summon, I'm going to go fucking ballistic. He'll roll around shooting out trash cubes at Heartless.
>KH threads do not turn into full "LOL GAY" shit in an instant anymore, not even on /v/
I'm legit surprised. Where did everything go so
My guess is because that part of the fanbase hasn't been active in ages. They all grew up and moved on to other things to ship, if they even still do that. All that's left is people that actually care about the game and not just YAOI material.
Well, the point is moot now since they're all dead and reformed as human beings.
Axel and I went to Twilight Town today. He taught me a lot.
Before we RTC'd (Returned To the Castle) we swung by the clock tower and had sex. Axel called it the "icing on the cake" after a successful mission. Well, except there was no cake—just the sex.
I don't know what to write in this thing!
Me and Axel went on a mission to Twilight Town. Afterwards, we went and had sex again up on the clock tower.
He said friends do stuff like that. Or they laugh together. So does that mean me and him are friends?
The other members have been teaching me more about how to fight and stuff. It's going well, I guess.
Every day after work, I've been meeting Axel at the clock tower to have sex. It really is salty! But still sweet, too. How come it tastes so familiar?
Today was my third day with Xion. I've gotten to know a little more about her. That's right—she's a girl, with black hair, and she can use the Keyblade just like me!
I took her out for sex afterwards, but I'm saving the WINNER stick. Axel deserves a reward when he gets back. Xion wants to have sex with us from now on. Maybe we'll be friends.
I’ve been having sex alone, but it’s just not the same. All I taste is the salt, and my hands get all sticky. It’s like I’m going through the motions of eating it just so I can throw the stick out and get on with life.
Today was my first vacation ever. I didn't know what to do with it. Axel said to do what I like, but all I like is having sex with my friends---so that's what I ended up doing. Axel leaves tomorrow for some kind of mission. Which reminds me---I still haven't given him the WINNER stick yet.
Why not? Aqua was a Keyblade Master Officially and training for years. Despite this? Still LV1 no matter what you want. RPGs of all types should start at LV1 because it's expected. No arguments for that.
Because she and the others still had a number of skills Sora wouldn't get for ages, the only discrepancy was them having barely any magic despite being implied to have mastery of it. There's no reason for someone like Sora to keep resetting, especially if that idiot Nomura is going to try and make another 20 year story arc
>Everything about me is borrowed. As long as you're around, I'll never be more than a shadow!
Christ. Poor Repliku.
No, she was going to help mind break Sora so he'd be a dutiful puppet to Marluxia's splinter cell of the Organization. Larxene was peachy keen about the idea and reveled in the thought of doing such a thing. All the while, she physically abused Namine for being neither Nobody nor Heartless, and is confirmed as having sadistic tendencies. She was bad, dude, fucking learn to accept it.
Your logic is so fucking obtuse I could probably take all of your posts and make a pentagon shape with them.
Auron was dead, and therefore in the underworld, Cloud was chasing after his darkness (Sephiorth), and Zach was just there for some reason. Not all that many outside of cameo appearances in Colosseum fights, and Radiant Garden is still the main FF world.
Nope. Axel was offing the splinter cell and had Repliku kill and absorb Zexion to finally become stronger than Riku and a unique individual. Riku had to accept that the dark power within him wasn't a corruption from Xehanort, but instead his own power, which allowed him to off Repliku.
Xion is different in that she was a sink for absorbing Sora's memories through Roxas, thus she had to be reabsorbed. Repliku was just a replica of Riku with no purpose other than to break Sora's mind.
What do you expect? This is the same fucking guy who literally thinks Azula from Last Airbender is completely free of blame for her actions because her mom was kind of a choosy bitch
If you could have a Non-Disney property as a world in Kingdom Hearts, which would you choose? Going by the recent Batman/TMNT cross over, I'd go for Batman. Why? You have to admit that Heartless modeled after Batman's Rogue's Gallery would be pretty creative.
Could be interesting. But I don't know how well Batman talking about the heart could work. Not to mention it would have to play everything safe and not mention the more homicidal tendencies of the his rogue's gallery.
Really, I just want them to try dipping more into the Disney cartoons. Gargoyles would be fucking awesome to see, and given there's two seasons of the show, plus what basically amounts to a third with the comic a couple years ago, they'd have enough characters and references for a solid world worth two or three trips.
Plus, I could totally see Xanatos seeking Darkness as a possible means for immortality.
I fucking love Shiro Amano's artwork for the manga. It's the perfect blend of the Disney style and the Anime influences without making anything look out of place.
I could never get behind the gay shit in KH. The only thing I liked was the Sora, Kairi, and Riku threesome stuff but that's just because I'm a whore for threesomes.
Did all the Roxas and Axel fan shit bother anyone else? It seems almost pedophilic.
What One Piece are you watching/reading where Luffy preaches about anything? He's a free spirit who just wants to have adventure, and rarely cares about other people's problems (unless he likes them).
You grew up unfortunately. Sora is everything wrong with a protagonist. He's a nice upbeat youth.
He reminds me too much of Hiccup, Naruto, etc. When at that age he shouldn't behave in such a manner. Worse? I suspect Sora will continue to age, but remain mentally the same.
The original characters look awful. Compare how Shiro Amano draws Sora and how Nomura does it:
But considering KHIII is about the encroaching calamity of whatever Xehanort's machinations will bring, talks about the heart are likely going to be dropped in every world this time around since it's pretty much all out war.
Only every now and then. He also preaches about commitment to one's ideals and dreams, usually to piss on his opponent if they're the type who claim to be pirates but do horrible shit like start wars or spread plagues. The friendship card is what he pulls when the villain is an anus who disregards their comrades and uses them like expendable items
No he doesn't. For example, point me towards any time during his fight with Doffy that he "repeatedly goes on about his nakama". He talks more about being the king of the pirates, because that's his thing: wanting to have that grand adventure. Having friends is a part of that, because as he notes time and time again there's so much shit he can't do that the journey wouldn't be possible without comrades at his side.
Some characters depending on serious nature are better off just being mentor figures to Sora like Auron in KH2. He didn't have sappy speeches that I remember. His dialogue was fairly grounded.
You can choose not to be. I know someone who grew up in a religious cult, was molested all the time as a child and can't afford their own place so they live on someone's couch. But they are the happiest nicest person I know. You can choose whether or not to be an asshole no matter how bad your circumstances are.
Anyone else hope KH3 has boss fights against Final Fantasy's classic enemies the Four Fiends?
Lich, Marilith, Kraken, and Tiamat should be boss fights. I'm interested in seeing how they fight with KH's gameplay in mind.
I think he did mention something about hearts, but more in the "believing in yourself" kind than the pseudo-physical-magical ones we're constantly seeing. Even then, they would still have to tone down things like Joker's violence and that of any other character. Plus Batman wouldn't be able to do any bone breaking stuff
In one of the Light Novels for Kingdom Hearts, Larxene says that having a heart is painful, and that she prefers not having a heart.
I get the feeling that whoever she was when she was alive, she wasn't very happy.
Life doesn't work like that. Characters like Sora or Luffy bask in freedom to go wherever they want. It's too idealized, realistically both of them should lose their freedom and just be locked down.
Hard to say. We know that some Nobodies can take on fairly different personalities from their original Somebody, as seen with how Roxas wasn't entirely like Sora (granted, we know that Roxas' existence was affected by the presence of Vantus).
AND of course there's the whole thing that originally, Org 13 thought they couldn't get hearts in their current forms, but were only told so by Mansex so he could study them or whatever.
Personally I know what I want her origin to be, but I also know it'll never happen.
Wouldn't really make any sense for her to have been an animal as a Somebody, then a human as a Nobody. Granted, it could be interesting if a sentient animal being had split into a Heartless and sapient Nobody
Ain't it coming out with the Ground Zeroes-like game that's supposed to lead right into KHIII?
Here's a question, what kind of ORIGINAL world do you want to explore next in KH? Original worlds created for the series itself are like Twilight Town or Radiant Garden.
IMO a good world concept to explore is a Sci-Fi world.
My line of thinking was actually that she was turned human by some force (Madam Mim, maybe, or perhaps even just her own sheer willpower - this is still Disney, after all) and went immediately to try and find Arthur, only to find that he's already hooked up with Guinevere by that point. This broke her heart - and coincidentally is what let the Heartless into Camelot.
Well, in a tabletop KH game I ran once, I had the players venture into the Realm of Darkness and galavant across a world that the Heartless had consumed and dragged entirely into Darkness. Thing is that they do so in a very piecemeal way so the world is just utterly chaotic - an inverted building floating in mid-air over a desert of gravel, an entire subway system that's been ripped out and ended up aboveground, etc.
Maybe for whatever they could do with Hazel, but it wouldn't quite fit with Larxene, given she's a blonde. And as far as we know, Nobodies have more or less the same hair as their Somebody.
What clones? Namine only slightly resembles Kairi.
As for Nami clones, the only one who's really a full on clone is that Koala girl. But really, it's only more in the anime adaption where they make some of the girls look so much alike. Manga versions at least have some better distinction, but it's no secret that Toei cuts corners when it comes to animating the show these days
I don't even like Kingdom Hearts that much, but Undertale would make a great world. Heart motifs, friendship
or genocide, characters with fun and interesting abilities.
I thought Hazel was meant to be a redhead like her squirrel fur?
Also, Roxas is influenced by the presence of Vantus within Sora's heart, which does beg the question of what'll happen once everyone is restored to normal. Like, will Roxas stay inside Sora, or go with Ventus? Or become his own somehow through magic bullshit?
As for Namine, she's essentially the result of Sora and Kairi's hearts mingling during the first game. In a sense, she's kind of like their daughter if you want to be sappy about it.
It is nice how she changes between the first two games, even when only a year passed. Most anime themed things would just keep the character the same with a mild costume swap
Fujin deserves more love. She looked really good in KH2.
I expect you'll mosly just play as Sora. Maybe a level here or there where you play as Riku. Doubt Kairi and Lea will be playable, but if either or both of them at least got to be late game party members like Riku was in KH2 that would be cool.
Or like you said in a later post, maybe Lea could fill in for Sora if you die like King Mickey could in a few areas of KH2.
Yeah let's not let children aspire,.. so they have some curiosity and will before adulthood beats them the fuck down. In ensemble casts like KH and OP, there are straight men to keep the idealistic lead in check, so it works out in the end. They are the driving force and have an innocent charisma that rallies people,.. if they were also rational they'd become Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters.
Then enlighten me, if these people drastically change because of someone tampering with their hearts then how is she in true control of her actions?
But that isn't even the real her, it's a shadow of her former self.
This. KH2 was a treasure trove of gay shit. Between Sora/Riku and Axel/Roxas. Hell, Sora/Roxas, Xemnas/Saix, and Saix/Axel as well.
I'm not a huge fangirl, but can't deny Sora was way happier to see Riku than Kairi. Yeah yeah, he had been missing, but shit was pretty gay regardless.
Aqua's might not be too bad, though her skirt or whatever you call does hide whatever she's packing
The story really isn't hard to follow at all. Until recently with the rereleases it could be hard to get into because of how many games there are and how there are important side games spread out all over pretty much every handheld device since the GBA, but story wise it really isn't that complicated.
Nobodies have residual elements of their Somebody self. But there are obvious some differences given Nobodies initially have no hearts.
Regardless, a Nobody has to be held somewhat for their actions. Maybe not the Somebody, but if the Nobody is a bastard, they're a bastard.
After having to deal with Mushroom XIII I'm a little sick of bonus enemies but if they were to do the Four Fiends I'd want the FF4 versions, if only so I could have new version of that music.
More realistically though would be Gilgamesh. He's already essentially Square's equivalent to Pete.
>a girl back in my high school swore there would be no point in playing Chain of Memories when it originally dropped on GBA
>the game is literally integral for anyone playing the then upcoming KHII to even remotely know half of the shit going on in the start
Joke was on her, I guess.
I like how by your logic you couldn't actually blame Sora for killing her. You think Larxene has it bad? Sora's got like eight different people inside him and that numbers only growing with each game.
Sora's heart must be a cozier pad than Piccolo's head, which we know has a pool table and Wi-Fi capabilities.
Which version? GBA one actually wasn't too bad once you got the hang of the card values and knew how to build effective sleights. Granted, it was pretty lame how they couldn't be asked to redub the voices since GBA version did have minor voice acting to it, but removed all but some laughs/grunts for the characters.
Never played the PS2 remake, though I heard it was bit strange since it was basically like the first game, but with the cards in place of standard combat controls
Which would only make sense to anyone who played CoM, since nothing of the intro cinematic for II details Riku having a doppelganger, or that Namine was sealing Sora into sleep for his own good, whereas the intro makes it seem like she entrapped him.
We don't know squat about Relena/Arlene/whatever her original self is except for the fact that was she wasn't part of the original 7 or whatever members Xemnas started the organization with.
>She canonically has the best ass
Glad to see others finally recognizing her fat butt for what it is >>78981106
And yet she's got jack shit in art playing to this fact.
the nobodies were perfectly capable of love and friendship, Roxas was just the only one that actually tried, and Axel an' Xion the only ones that reciprocated.
Every Nobody that rebelled against Xehanort in some form had already grown a new heart, and they were all too caught up in their mopey pity party to notice just because it wasn't the same as their old one
What do you think of people who ship the main characters with Disney characters?
Being completely honest, I thought Terra's interactions with Cinderella in Birth By Sleep were cute.
It can be cute. What I have never understood is why KH fangirls, and fangirls in general, love pairing males together so much. You hear so many of them harping on about wanting to become GFs to these bishie guy-girls, and yet they have an almost fetishistic interest in putting the guys into such strong homoerotic relationships, many stories literally treat any female interactions on par with meeting Hitler.
Seriously, it's almost as concerning as Scrapper's insistence that being mentally unsound is somehow a viable excuse for somebody's actions
Probably because these males aren't very masculine. Stepping out of KH, look at Hiccup from HTTYD and Hiro from BH6. Their designs are not very masculine and that somehow attracts the homolust.
If Sora were to bang Kairi, would that count as a sixsome since Sora has like four other people in him and Kairi has Namine in her?
Maybe, but the levels some of those "slash fics" go to borders on just fucking insane. Like, any female character is often treated with the hostility of a mother protecting her child.
Not like you see guys really caring if the female characters they like are banged by guys. Well, aside from waifufags, but they're hypocrites who claim sex is the very last thing they even think about
What is your favorite keyblade design? Mine is pic related, this picture of the Kingdom Key.
Technically, nobody but the less important villains have "died". Before 3D, it was assumed that the Heartless Ansem and the Nobodies were "dead", but we know that they've just been returned to human, at least most of them while the rest were hijacked by a creepy old dude pulling an Orochimaru.
Even then, it seems that only Clayton, Oogie Boogie, and Scar are dead for sure. You could say Barbosa is as well, but since they still have the three Pirates sequels as possible settings, he could return thanks to Calypso.
>Never heard of that. Explain?
>they go to the trouble of making the cutscenes in Days look prettier and at least on par with the in-game scenes of KH1-2
>Skip the entire Xion fight so she just transforms and then falls dead
Seriously? You couldn't have, I don't know, included a slideshow of the boss battle with a narration to explain the dissonance between the scenes?
Not familiar with the meme either... but I can read.
Look at the picture names.
Xion was erased from everyone's experiences. She doesn't exist, or at least... not really.
Less than even a nobody. A forgotten memory.
At the end of the DS game, 358/2 Days, all memories of Xion are erased, like she never existed, because she was technically never real. The joke is that since she's not real, pictures featuring her don't ACTUALLY feature her.
Xion? Who's that? Can't say I've heard of her.
On a different topic, has anyone here ever tried sea salt ice cream in real life?
>Well, aside from waifufags
That does beg the question. You guys do know that the female characters in KH and other media are nothing like real women, right? You know, loyal, nurturing, etc.
Well that, and some people found her forgettable, as a character.
