Yes
Morrison is a hack
no deadly genesis
easily
Selling the rights to FOX.
Anyway, the Xorn reveal was great. The problem was the horrible misuse of Magneto that followed it.

X-Factor.
Any forward development of the entire franchise of the last ~15 years gets shafted so the writers can pretend like the O5 ever mattered or were an interesting team. Fuck that.
It retconned the fucking Phoenix Saga. Why would you ever consider retconning one of your most iconic stories even partially? Let alone actually do it?
No wonder X-Men in the 90s was a mess.
Letting Bendis write anything was Marvel's biggest mistake.
You're close, OP.
I'd say that Marvel's almost instant retconning of Morrison's run, and regression of the X-Men back into tights and spandex as seen in Austen's X-Men and Whedon's Astonishing is the worst thing that's ever happened to the X-Franchise.
There was such vital room for growth and exploration of Mutants in a whole new thematic light, allowing for genuine development in story and message to something more than just a thin racism analogue. We could've gotten more than just X-Statix taking advantage of this stage if Marvel let it flourish after Grant left, but nope, they had to tear it all back down.

this. Marvel going bankrupt was a detriment to everything thereafter good and bad.
Make Mine Marvel Studios.

Not even close to pic related now.

Nobody actually gives a fuck about Iceman though.
Fuck Austen.

No but it was the least offensive thing in that horrible run and it was incredibly insulting.

>so the writers
The worst fucking this is that after going through the whole thing of setting up this story Bob Layton one of the masterminds behind the whole scheme only stays one the title for like 5 issues.
The people involved didn't even work on the X comics, they just wanted their status quo back
The others were Kurt Busiek at the time an intern, editor Roger Stern, and John Byrne
This guy right here.

There would be no Marvel without selling the rights, fuckwit.
Muh movie rights don't determine the quality of the comics anyway, otherwise Spider-Man should be fucking golden now anyway.
