seriously though, it looks more like a pink diamond then a rose quartz, based on everything I just saw in image searches.

The pink diamond does look different in shame on the old Diamond Authority symbols sure, but all the diamonds are represented by triangles now that there is only three. We know this is not accurate for Yellow or Blue, so the symbol of the diamond authority does not adhere to the exact shapes of the gems themselves.

Also, somebody made it a point to deface Pink Diamond symbols in the arena. Yet Pearl wears a pink diamond on her flight suit, and this also appears on Sardonx's shoes. This suggests the symbol has some significane to Pearl that she doesn't see a need to change, and by it being part of Sardonx without being a problem Garnet is okay with it as well. So the two Gem's old enough to know what the Pink Diamond means don't mind it's iconography, but somebody smashed up very specific parts of the arena... Which to me suggests it might be out of personal shame instead of hatred of another. Pearl certainly doesn't hate the symbol...

It looks like a cut Rose Quartz. Not only that, everything that belongs to Rose features the more milky shade of pink found on a Rose Quartz. Lion's mane, her room, the CG flag, etc. Not only that, from the two diamonds we've seen in the show she doesn't even resemble them appearance wise or gem wise.

I think we're missing the point on the whole "Rose is Pink Diamond debate.

The point is not about how much evidence there is for or against the theory.

The point is that if the theory were correct it would be incredibly stupid and anti climactic and I have faith in the writers not to write something so fucking retarded.

Yes, Peridot explained that gem types are all naturally the same size as each other unless they're defective. Rose is the same size as Jasper, another quartz, and isn't anywhere near the realm of a Diamond whose hands are the size of a Pearl. Rose Quartz literally being a rose quartz is something that's so expected that theories try to make believe that it's something else when in the end she is literally what she is called.

No she didn't. She might have said "you're some kind of quartz, right?" but that just means she couldn't peg the specific kind of quartz he was. She would know the difference between a quartz and a diamond.

And besides that all gems have been able to recognize other gems by sight. Rose Quartz might be a rare kind of quartz but it's still, recognizably to them, a quartz. There's no way they'd confuse it with a diamond.

I think Pearl might be WHITE DIAMOND.

Think about it:

We already know Rose is Pink Diamond because she is pink.
Lapis is clearly Blue Diamond because she is blue.
Sapphire is also probably Blue Diamond.
Ruby is red so there is probably a secret Red Diamond.
When they took that gem from the pyramid that was very obviously a diamond and couldn't have been anything else, Pearl was nowhere to be seen.
and Pearl ... is WHITE.
She must be White Diamond guys confirmed somebody e-mail Rebecca Sugar.
