Can we have a general weirdness in comics thread?
>you'll never be Sir Isaac Newton having sex with a reptile alien thing
Weird comics are best comics.
>you will never preform surgery on yourself
>you will never travel through time to kill your future self for the benefit of mankind
>you will never be a member of Indigo fucking
Mine was Face by Milligan and Fegredo. That's the first page of the book, and it only gets weirder from there.
Not sure if this counts, but still hilarious and surreal.
>you will never have your family gaslight you into denying your identity as the reincarnated soul of a 200 year old mercenary
>you will never literally play God, making an entire species depend on cannibalism before a sole member denies it to become the primary source of compassion for the new universe you make with his soul.
>you will never help H.P. Lovecraft save the world from nubians
>you will never jack off a Deep One after it impregnates you with Cthulhu
>you will never ride a half spaceship, half whale hybrid piloted by witches
Jesus, i'm not sure if that was more hilarious if it's intentional or unintentional
>tfw it's really not a strange world...this dimension sucks ass
>you will never dress up in an S&M outfit to protect the secrecy of an underground club of sexual deviants
/co/ needs more weird comics and less Nu52/ANAD/movie shit. Don't let this thread die.
>you will never perform surgery on yourself while FUCKING DINGOES TRY TO EAT YOU
/a/ is kind cheating but I just had to do it.
Jojo is double cheating
>you will never play the part in the play of a clown's life after he kills himself, waiting to be judged by the gods
I'm a buyfag, sorry.
It's a one shot, though, so you should be able to find a .cbr download pretty easily.
>you will never be a Vietnamese prostitute who fulfills their destiny as the messiah of a race of trees by marrying their tree king
I am moderately interested in Indigo Prime and requesting a list of issues the storyline appears in.
Are publication order and chronological order the same? Which is better to read it in?
A torrent collection is also fine, but I'm not requesting that, they just tend to be well organized.
The strip was published sporadically over 20 years, both as comics in 2000AD as well as some prose stories.
There's a collection of everything pre-2000 (sans the prose stories; you'll probably need a torrent for that) in "The Complete Indigo Prime" trade, and "Anthropocalypse" collects the returning, unfinished storyline of the book from when it returned around 2010.
This is, to my knowledge, everything that's been released under this title. Reading these trades/collections in chronological order would serve you best, but there isn't that much of an overall narrative until "Anthropocalypse," so it shouldn't be too big a deal.
Like I said, I'm a buyfag, so I can't help there.
They're just one off stories, from what I remember, so not reading them won't impact your enjoyment of everything else. This wasn't the type of book that had a core plot, let alone a huge history of continuity. It was, at that point, just the author mucking around with the craziest of crazy ideas.
