>New CBS president Glenn Geller raised the possibility of a crossover between his network’s “Supergirl” and the CW’s DC superhero drama “The Flash.”
>“I have to be really careful what I say here,” Geller said when asked by reporters during the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “Watch and wait and see what happens.”
>The answer is in stark contrast to previous answers given by former CBS president Nina Tassler, who always downplayed the possibility of a crossover.
It's happening now, lads
Post yfw it was for charity Kara
>confirmed for not having watched Supergirl
As far as capeshit goes, the supergirl writers are some of the best out there currently. If you want tumblr-machine, I think you'd best go back to watching Olicity.
Remember when it first premiered? The ratings were bigger than what Supergirl got. Now that the show is in its third year, and generally a let-down, the ratings have softened.
The same will happen to Supergirl as it ages.
We all know what happens to Supergirl in a
>Crossover involves Barry and Kara raising around the world for charity
Even when every ep is literally this?
And the endless pining over her bull. Get real.
He's already been folded into the CWverse with Arrow. Any crossover with those shows will imply he's a part of the full multiverse regardless.
yfw they drop a reference to Gotham
>Supergirl fans talking down to Arrow fans
I thought this day couldnt get any better
I'd be ok with this
Haven't watched the Supergirl show but crossovers are always fun. And with Flash introducing the multiverse, they have a dead simple way of explaining why the shows obviously don't take place in the same world before now
>Ollie was an asshole pre-FIVE YEARS
>Bruce is an asshole post-MY PARENTS ARE DEAAAAAAAAD
That aside, that would mean Batman would only be in his 30s now. I guess that's fitting, assuming Clark is around that age in Supergirl.
>yfw the crossover does so well they have another one but actually merge the two worlds
Hope it happens. Amell said it was pretty much a done deal that he would guest on Constantine if it got picked up for a few more eps. Who knows, that could have boosted Constantine enough and saved it. Supergirl might need the same down the stretch. It's ratings aren't terrible but it did drop quite a bit to the point that Gotham was tying it or beating it. A Flash crossover and having it as a possibility for more in the future and carrying over that built-in audience is not a bad thing at all. Better to do it and see before it's too late.
Neat. I didn't know they were in the same TV universe.
I enjoy all three shows, though I've been unimpressed by the villains in Supergirl thus far. The kryptonians are all shit. Maxwell Lord is pretty great though.
As far as we know, Supergirl and Arrow/Flash don't share the same universe, but both CW and CBS share the same parent company. That could make a potential crossover between the two possible, probably through multiverse shenanigans.
I doubt they're supposed to be in the same universe or that they'll try to make it that way retroactively. Supergirl would be a big deal in the Flash/Arrow universe, even with metahumans.
Supergirl taking place on another Earth as set up in the Flash is the most obvious explanation if they decide to connect them.
Dick in Supergirl when?
inb4 it's just weird cameos with no consequences
Daww, somebody saved my edit.
Sad thing is that was probably the best episode with the Manhunter reveal behind it, I really liked Live Wire.
>People actually like Cat Grant
Her acting is fucking awful, her character is fucking dumb and she looks like an assortment of toothpicks held together with silly putty, which I'm sure is what they apply to her face anyway to make her seem less ghoulish.
>super girl cant cut it on her own.
bUT SHE IS DA TRUE HEIR TO DA HOUSE O' EL THO
Don't make me have to defend Supergirl. I really don't want to. But really, she's not that bad considering everything else and far from the worse thing on the show. I've actually enjoyed her diva-ness from time to time.
What pining? She's been far too busy fighting evil Kryptonians to even THINK about romance. Unlike Oliver Queen, Kara apparently has her priorities straight and better things to do.
Personally, I rate "The world is in peril, ROMANCE ARC FUCKING DROPPED" pretty high as well. It's about time a series did this.
Man, that kool-aid must taste sweet.
The pining was fucking cringeworthy, dude. Forced and obvious as fuck. I'm still not sure why I'm powering through this show. It's high points are so few and far between. From the terrible dialogue and cheesy forced messages, to the terrible choreography and horribly awkward line work and fucking shitty CGI, it's a fucking mess. It's certainly not a show anyone should be praising or acting like it's hot shit.
If only one of the shows had established some sort of ... multiple universe thing ... that could make it easy for the other show to exist on another Earth without disrupting anything.
Hopefully they add that soon!
Penis envy, obviously. Man of Steel makes them both feel inadequate.
Well, enjoy your delusions. Most of what you whine and gripe about has been gone for a long time or never actually was a thing. If you're so easily triggered by someone simply dropping a term or someone's skin colour, maybe fiction isn't the right medium for you. They have these great, rubber padded rooms in some places you might enjoy, though.
The show is bad. It's apparent to everyone but you that it's bad. I'm not really saying anything that hasn't been said a million times over already on the internet. You'd actually have to be crazy to think this show is good, not the other way around. I'm not even sure I could be paid to actually like this crap.
Well, here's the thing, either the show is bad, in which case, your claims of watching it are a lie (it's pretty obvious you've only seen the pilot which, newsflash, no one liked).
Or the show is good, in which case, you've actually watched all of it like you say. That would be worrisome, though, because it clearly reveals you're either delusional or a compulsive liar.
'course, if you have actually obsessive-compulsively watched something you hate in its entirity, it's pretty likely you're somehow autistic, which means your judgement of what human interaction should be is unreliable and you have no business criticising acting or characters.
Giving something a fair shake and hoping it improves is not really all that unusual. Common protocol on most new shows, actually. I expected more from the team behind it, honestly. It's unusual how little it's improved. From the dialogue, the harness work, cgi, the look of the red tornado, the dialogue, the super pmsing. All of it but spare a few things here and there. I am admittedly close to dropping it because it really doesn't look like it's going to get much better than this. So you can have your safe zone back and you can just go back to living in a fantasy world where you think this shit is good and no one will ever tell you otherwise. Hey, it'll need all the blindly loyal viewers it can get if it continues this way.
Really? Cause to me it just sounds like you're parroting shit you heard from people who haven't actually watched futher than Red Tornado, anon. Maybe you should go watch Arrow instead. It actually HAS everything you SAY Supergirl has, right down to the shitty, shoehorned in moralfagging.
Supergirl's made fun of that from day 1. If you can't tell the difference, you either haven't watched it, or you're part of the generation of young people today who gets "triggered" and is somehow proud of being mentally ill.
The irony is that Supergirl has no clear "message" like Arrow. There's no incessant "lying is bad" bullshit going on and any time someone raises a 'message', it's immediately shot down and mocked. Just look at Cat's talk with Kara on feminism.
The gist of it is basically this:
"But muh girlpower" vs. "Shut up, you naive little girl. Girlpower pandering is for the weak. Also, you have five seconds to convince me not to fire you."
...somehow people just hear the protagonist, who is portrayed as naive and estranged to the world anyway, talk about something and they automatically assume "THIS IS THE MESSAGE", when the show mocks the shit out of it instead.
Sure, Supergirl is a "good person", but the people who get shit done don't do it her way. They do it the get shit done way. Supergirl is the first capeshow to really point out the dichtomy between idealism, where it ultimately fails and what actually works. And this completely by accident, because it's fairly obvious they're just trying to tell a story and avoid, say, Arrow's obnoxious moralising.
Nah, I'm actually watching the show, which I'm fairly sure you haven't even touched at this point.
>Nah, I'm actually watching the show, which I'm fairly sure you haven't even touched at this point.
>Hurr he's doesn't like it so he must not be watching it
God, when did /co/ get this fragile
You're free to think it's bad, you fucking retard.
Stop getting butthurt when people call you on reasons that are complete and utter bullshit,
Thinking you have to justify not liking something is what makes you an insipid, autistic little sperglord. You don't have to justify jack shit. You don't like something, you don't like something. Period. There's no need to literally invent reasons.
Not butthurt in the least. Just cute you think saying autist a million times is actually calling out someone for not liking the show or that it means anything on here.
Not even close
>n-no I'm not butthurt
>no I'm not whining
boring thread, time for Kara's greatest hits.
>Is the whole show just her getting BTFO?
Well she's gotta rally against adversity to make a comeback at the end y'know.
but that isn't as fun to webm
she has the best facial expressions, seriously.
Anyone webm her and Grant at the Golden Globes? Her legs were so very nice.
Let's say that this crossover does happen, who's the villain?
Nah but I do have a few non-ryona clips
>green dress = kryptonite =vulnerability
