It's a shame they went for full science. Would have been nice to see Fred and his Kaiju stand.

I liked the concept, the art, the character design, the music, the animation and the CG effects (the lighting was amazing IMO).

I hated the story. Everything was super rushed. He meets these guys and suddenly they're his friends. They do this, they do that. Find bad guy and a excuse to finish the story. It was rather annoying and generic, to be honest, and it had much more potential.

The villain reveal twist had absolutely no impact because we barely spent 2 minutes with the character so you really couldn't possibly care that he was the real one.
The plan to fake his death also made no sense at all.
