Start her new run explaining away that she was a vampire or whatever as quickly as possible and then have her start traveling the world exploring urban legends and myths.

Just a simple mostly episodic book where she explores the weird and saves people best she can from it.

Its been done before sure but it's a safe idea and that's kind of what she needs right now. Something safe and easy for new readers to wrap their heads around.

Ive only read new 52 up until JHWIII left, but I'd like her to get more into occult-esque stories/,ore grounded dark stories with only a hint of supernatural stuff. Continue working with the DEO but stop involving her character in boring Mexican Ghost shit etc. other than that, there's not much to fix.

She fights urban legends and low-grade mythical creatures in Gotham instead of crime. That was how her successful books showed her, and it's a great, easily executed idea. The fact that it got so badly fucked up is only because they put a z-grade writer on the title. Any dumbshit of room temp iq could write a decent Batwoman story if they just stuck to the Kate vs. Monsters premise.

I shouldn't be surprised that /co/ readers miss the mark so hard, but Batwoman was a unique take on that Bat-mythos that had a lot more to offer than her fighting mythical creatures. Her run was an exploration of the military aspects of Batman and superheroes in general. She was a loyal government operative up until she couldn't be anymore (and fuck the guy who says don't ask don't tell doesn't exist, it did at the time you moron), and her decisions to operate outside of the boundaries of the law that she had been loyal to her whole life highlighted unique facets of the street vigilante's dilemma. Not to mention the attempt to bring back the DEO, which is an excellent part of the DCU that offered an abundance of areas to explore when the government decides to get involved with the capes (and I'm aware it's not the first time that this has occurred in the DCU, but it still remains fairly new territory and there is certainly nothing that comes close in the new 52). Kate was turning into a true black-ops superhero, and while you can argue that we don't need yet another member of the Bat-family I think that she had carved a unique portion of it out for herself and had built a large cast of supporting characters that were her own and lent themselves to limitless storytelling opportunities.

I kinda dug the trail end of the Batwoman run. It was off the rails and full blown stupid, but I looked forward to every issue. It was like The L Word with great cosplay.
