I assumed it had something to do with the Gems that got corrupted. Maybe the CGs were given an ultimatum, stay on Earth and have their allies get turned into monsters, or abandon the Earth and escape with their lives.
Maybe she flew to the moon?
will Peridot ever get back/build new limb enhancers and become a more active member of the group?
so do i but take some mourning music as well.
>Peridot could rotate her fingers fast enough to generate lift
>She could probably splatter steven's head all over the room with that kind of velocity.
Now i'm sad again.
The Starman has gone back to the sky
I don't think the wings were water, they looked distinct. Like some sort of gel. They were produced by her gem itself, not just regular water taken from her surroundings.
Why would the evaporate? She controls their form. As far as wings to get you through space, at least she can shoot off water molecules and slowly accelerate with it like an ion engine.
damnit, I wanted the moon episode to explain this shit. Pearl even mentioned it in that one in-character interview for news-a-rama "there's no way she could've made it all the way back home"
It's speculation based on what they said and did in the show. Of course there's no direct answers right now.
>"We found this gem-powered mirror at the Galaxy Warp."
>"You three knew I was in there, and you didn't do anything. Did you even wonder who I used to be?!"
>"They're not going to let us leave."
>"How could I have known the Gem contained in that mirror would be so powerful?"
>"You're one of them. One of the Crystal Gems."
>"Your friends, they don't really care about other Gems. All they care about is the Earth. But I never believed in this place..."
From this, I've got a pretty specific idea of what is up with Lapis:
>Lapis came to Earth with the other gems doing colonizing shit (probably due to her water control abilities) under Blue Diamond
>Rose decides "Fuck it, we're protecting Earth and standing up to the Homeworld."
>She starts to rally the gems on Earth as her army for the rebellion, the Crystal Gems
>Lapis didn't want any of that shit, so when shit got serious 5,500 years ago, she decided to go home
>However, she is stopped at the Galaxy Warp by some more... morally grey Crystal Gems (not Rose, Pearl or Garnet).
>They refuse to let her leave.
>They somehow take her out, and put her in the mirror as a prison.
>They give it to Pearl, who is a shit and just accepts that they imprisoned a Homeworld supporter
The Crystal Gems were an army. There's bound to be the more aggressive soldiers that would have made more drastic, amoral decisions. Lapis then blamed the Crystal Gems in general for everything.
This is why she didn't seem to believe Steven was a Crystal Gem at first, he wasn't a dick like the other Crystal Gems she had encountered back then were.
This is why we're going to get banned again.
When is she gonna see her boyfriend in the nude?
i've cried like three times this shit is terrible.
If the Crystal Gems were the cause of the corruption, Rose wouldn't have been so interested and keep failing to cure it. Corruption came from either Homeworld or Gem Nature, and I'd say the former is more likely.
Why is it so hard to understand that the crystal gems fucking shoved lapis in a mirror for thousands of years when she was trying to leave Earth and that's why she hates them? She's your garden variety PoW
Get creative, why dontcha.
Starnet = Eros or Aphrodite
Stammy = Gaea or Geb or Gluttony
Stearl = Famine or Baldur or Aether or Crom Cruach or Cu Chulainn
Stevidot = Conquest or Yu the Engineer
Lapis = Hydros or Posideon
Jasper = War or Ares or Susano-o
>you will never spend the day on a tropical paradise with the bara wife
>people ask about a thing that hasn't been explained in the show yet
>give speculation based on quotes and actions from the show
>"no one cares about theories kid"
Faggot, we're on a chinese puppet show board talking about the story of a magical jewelry boy while it's on break.
All we got is stupid theories and lewd fanart at this point.
We are so fucked. Mods are gonna send us back to /trash/ in no time.
How did you get "Improsoned for trying to go home" from "They're not going to let us leave"? If I was an escapee from a prison (mirror) and i was faced with people who are affiliated with people who improsoned me, shit, I'd assume they werent gonna let me leave either.
So what ever became of that 60-page Greg/Pearl porn comic?
She says "You knew I was in there, and you didn't do anything!", and claims her quarrel with the Crystal Gems was that "they don't care about other Gems." If she was deliberately imprisoned, I don't feel she would have worded it like that. Lapis is a pretty vindictive person; if she was mad at them for trapping her, she most likely would have said so, and her reasoning for hating the CGs would probably be less about differing ideology and more about "they shoved me in a mirror."
Wait, what are you saying here anon?
>They aren't going to let us leave
>They imprisoned me for trying to leave
seems like a pretty cut and dry assumption.
Lapis from the very get go just wanted to get back to homeworld. I find it kinda hard to assume it's just a coincidence that they "found" the mirror with her at the Galaxy Warp, the main way off of Earth.
>Thread made at page 9, didn't bother to link it, probably because it was early
>Thread made without checking catalog, linked it even though one was up
No we're just truly incompetent. Someone stop being a bitch and delete your thread.
>Steven meets a Homeworld Rose quartz
>He starts getting emotional around the Rose quartz
>Steven starts talking about wondering how it feels like to get scolded by his real mom or told to go to bed by his real mom
>HW Rose quartz doesn't know what the hell is happening
Lapis is the final boss.
I'm OP of this thread. My post was made within the rules. As other anon said, the other one was made well the old one was still on pg 9. I checked the catalogue a few minutes before we hit pg 10 and neither of those were there.
"They aren't going to let us leave" because they charged in brandishing weapons and they kept her in the mirror for thousands of years. The Galaxy Warp was more likely the place in question because it's a travel zone, and it's a place where stuff might get left behind. Unless you're suggesting that Lapis was somehow subdued and forcibly imprisoned at a major meeting area for Homeworld Gems that is also surrounded on all sides by water.
Well, we can at least agree she was imprisoned in that mirror, right?
In that case, the question is "by whom?" and there's really only two answers: homeworld forces or the Crystal Gems
Now, if she was imprisoned by Homeworld, then somehow wound up on Earth and the CGs really did just find her and keep her locked up, do you think she would want to go back there immediately after getting out?
I think it is a lot more likely that the Crystal Gem forces just put a stop to what could have been a big war asset ASAP after the war started and captured Lapis while she was trying to get back to Homeworld.
>My post was made within the rules
That isn't the issue here. If the other thread was made while we were on page 9 it would have been in the catalog if you had checked at a proper time. That's also not the issue here though.
Someone just needs to stop being shit.
so would you rather redemption all around or Jasper shattering Peridot's gem to establish some stakes and have Steven experience real lose
>Gems are all alien colors
>Purple, orange, Blue, Green skintones all around
>Even Diamonds are bright otherworldly colors
>Pearl is an off white, like, well, a pearl
>Rose Quartz looks like a human with pink hair
Imprisoning is very likely. Then again, one thing to consider is that Lapis has been stuck in the mirror for a very long time, and she's spent almost all that time with the Crystal Gems. She probably barely remembers who or why she was originally put in there, and if she does remember, she probably doesn't care - yeah, Homeworld probably had a few jerks on it, but it's been a long time, and it's still home and not this soggy miserable squishy-infested deathhole.
I was hoping we'd get another Chille Tid, except this time it was Jasper sending out the distress signals because Lapis was becoming corrupt. Steven would be forced to bubble Lapis and save Jasper before they both became completely corrupted.
He looks weird though.
No she isn't
Greg is pink. That woman has Caucasian skin
>Find Ocean in Space
>Become galactus and All the gems and their planets and destroy them like the parasites like the are
>Contacts include Brimstone, a construction gem who is built for welding and Basalt, a gem whose programming was partially broken and as a result switches regularly between a loud, shouty Irish-accented personality and a mild, unassuming Scottish-accented personality.
Out there right now is a planetoid of nearly all liquid water.
oh, this is the guy that someone was complaining on /ic/. He's got a reputation for stopping projects halfway because he loses interest and accepts many commission without finishing them for years.
That means only Lapis can protect Steven from everyone else either he wants to or not
You're all diamond
Science is just amazing.
In other news, the Gems are probably specialized, evolved space barnacles or possibly self-aware von Neumann machines.
... Titan is mostly ammonia and rocks
Well shit, I eat my words.
Good, good. Let the Lapisfag flow through you.
I honestly can't get how you can assume she was put there by anyone other than the crystal gems.
Memory thus far has never been an issue for gems. Even Pearl was able to recreate events from the battles 5000 years ago via her projections and shit without a pause, and she's been doing a TON more to remember than Lapis has.
Lapis sat there stewing in prison and misery for 5000 years. There's no way she forgot the ones that did that to her. And as such, I doubt her first response upon getting out would be to go right back to those gems.
Her immediate disbelief that Steven was a Crystal Gem because he freed her, the fact that they knew there was a gem in there (as pearl says herself) and chose to not let her go or even try to negotiate with her, and certainty about her assumptions that the crystal gems don't care about gems and wouldn't let her and steven leave earth and go back home all seem to point to Lapis being certain the crystal gems are the ones responsible for all her troubles.
>I am now filled with an urge to hug a fictional character.
The slow descent into waifuism begins.
Either that or the split ideals are so far apart that it's debilitating to Lapis' mind and she slowly begins to corrupt from the sheer inability to function.
Sorry, this is getting a bit morbid.
>Andromeda constellation in the background
>Andromeda Galaxy, within the constellation, is mostly likely the galaxy of Homeworld
>Andromeda, the mythical character was chained to a rock as a sacrifice to the sea monster Cetus.
>The parallels between her and Lapis are too loud to ignore
Either way, great attention to detail
WHAT A MESS WE MADE
WHEN IT ALL WENT WRONG
What's wrong with that image? I think it's great.
>wait, aren't we going to have a chapter dealing with Peridot flying off the cluster with all those corrupted gems?
>no, don't worry about it. We'll release what we have as a little movie, it'll be fine
God damnit, this is why we can't have nice things. It seems full good porn of older Greg/Pearl will never happen.
You see this face? She's so disappointed her only friend won't escape with her, and afterwards reacts with rage because she's a spiteful motherfucker. I want to see more of their relationship.
And the ashes... are all
Remember when Garnet's three eyes were scary as fuck?
I have to wonder if Lapis actually was able to find any Blue Diamond gems or anything like that before she got captured on Homeworld.
Jasper and Peridot are both Yellow loyal, and they're the ones that apparently "picked up" Lapis.
Maybe Blue Diamond actually would be welcoming to Lapis coming home and she just never got the chance.
Has literally anything ever given the idea that that's how it works?
If gems just shared their knowledge when they fused, Garnet would have found out about Pearl's fuckery in Cry for Help.
You guys are alright.
So are you.
>tfw when she's also 25 feet tall
Hooray for Lapis!
I am them, and also >>78909942
Enjoy Lapis because she's great.
>two generals accidentally
>just a dumbfuck OP right?
>just delete the one with the later time stamp right?
>fucking BAN /sug/ FUCKING CANCER GET OFF MY BOARD
>meanwhile monster high is still shitposted on this board
Sometimes I don't get these shills.
Some of you Clods are alright. Don't go to Earth tomorrow.
>All these giant woman
I don't understand you Giantess fags. Woman shouldn't be that tall
Let me post my headcanon about Lapis
>Homeworld fucked up
>For some reason the temperature of the planet is now more than 100°C
>Lapis goes back
>Find no water
>"Homeworld is not the way it used to be"
Pretty much every episode (cept Sadie's Song...for now) need to be watched since every episode (even ones deemed as filler) have something important to the show, whether a plot point of something being foreshadowed.
That's fairly reasonable. I think your theory is pretty strong, but for the most part, I feel like we're missing a few too many pieces to make any definitive statements. Pearl's statement that she found it at the Galaxy Warp in particular implies that there's a big thing we're not getting, and it doesn't seem like something she would lie about (if only Pearl is a terrible liar).
I'm thinking Homeworld has already been a shell for tens of thousands of years. There's literally no material left on it with which to grow new Gems, thus whey they started expanding out into space.
>3 editors that did visorless edits
>1 big compilation of season 1 visorless edits
Why did it die down after back to the barn?
the metaphysical properties arbitrarily assigned to gemstones are always "good" things, and the homeworld gems are "bad", so they don't fit
amethyst is supposed to protect against addiction, the only gem property i see possibly being selected on purpose is MAYBE rose quartzes' healing, but then they pretty much all have some kind of healing because it's fucking snake oil drummed up to help sell rocks
all SU theories that relate back to real geology or the traditional lore thereof are the worst
sorry if this isn't the right one.
Oh, and Garnet's Universe, but it's still a fun episode.
I think the best way to put it would be to divide the show into "Main Plot Only" (Chille Tid, Warp Tour), "Gem Stuff" (Giant Woman, Coach Steven) and "Human Stuff" (Island Adventure, Shirt Club).
Why does Yellow Diamond want to destroy a planet that is filled with resources?
Who watches this show for main plot only? The lore isn't even that good and the story is generic. I watch the show for the characters, and "filler" episodes really shine in the regard imo.
So we can assume Rose and Pearl managed to convince and turn enough people to turn the rebellion into a proper war. What are the odds of the rebel team convincing a diamond to join em? There are theories that Rose is a diamond, but wouldn't it be a twist for the rebels to actually have a diamond allied to them in the war? It might be implausible, but if it were to be revealed, /sug/ would shit their pants.
looking back at Steven's reaction, I know its out of shock at her anger but I could also interpret it as him finding out she has three eyes. This episode could've been great as a reveal for Garnet's eyes but whatever.
>Greg "big fat retarded looks like a hobo" Universe
into the trash it goes
Probably main plot since it's the episode where they find Peridot's ship, and the fact that they have it is pretty important to the plot later.
If not, then it would be human stuff.
Joy Ride is hard to classify, but I'd say it's primarily "Human Stuff." My idea was
>Features an appearance by a major antagonist or a massive element of worldbuilding and considerably advances the story or current plot - Main Plot Only
- Doesn't advance the main story much but features development for one or more Crystal Gems - Gem Stuff
- Doesn't advance the main story much but features development for one or more humans - Human Stuff
Under that category, Joy Ride would probably be a Human Stuff episode, unless you consider Peridot's escape pod to be a major plot element.
Though we had an inclination, we weren't sure when and how Lapis would return. This ruined that.
>captcha says to pick cactuses
I guess /sug/ pissed their collective pants and blew a few veins in the process, and that this already have been discussed to hell and back, but do we have any reasonable theory to why Lapis looks so mad?
desu all of these files are bad. They are either tvrips (with watermarks and poor quality) or web-dl re-encodes (baaad quality loss).
If you want the best quality, go with the raw web-dls.
Season 1 - https://mega.nz/#F!0EsHiZgZ!Zs6nVhIGO8NtqrTswHf2sw
Season 2 - https://mega.nz/#F!SEVAVCzJ!h8-2Fa36KmzAsBn1CXy0Og
No idea why these are still not in the OP.
Why would anyone like Greg unless they had fucking brain damage?
Last time she saw Peridot, she was being kidnapped by her. She hasn't experienced her redemption and is probably saltier than the atlantic ocean she's been stuck under for a month
Except it does raise a good point though, of how sometimes, cold and distant people aren't just being all logical, they're actually sometimes coming from a place of illogical feelings.
As an official autist it makes me feel better about myself and my always literal thinking.
Most likely she's just angry at how successfully Rose was able to defend the Earth (for a while, anyway) and just wants that blot on her military career to be erased from the history books and her memory.
It's like how Australians constantly want to nuke emus.
>oh, this is the cunt from HW that was with Jasper.
>oh, she made besties with Steven while I toiled away in the bottom of the ocean in a hate fusion to keep Jasper away. For Steven's sake.
>you little bitch I'm a navy seal pasta
Why are there seemingly so few diamonds? On earth, Diamonds aren't that uncommon, merely expensive because of a monopoly. They can be manufactured as well. Do the diamonds in control not allow more to be produced in order to stop potential insurrection?
Which is what I said. It depends on whether the introduction of Peridot's escape pod is absolutely essential for understanding Friend Ship, in which case it's a Main Plot episode.
"Don't trust them, Steven."
After all this time, might there still be reason for Steven to be cautious of the Crystal Gems?
>show with primarily female main cast
>"are these always about waifuposting?"
What do you think, anon?
thats all the encouragement i needed thx fag.
now i just gotta figure out how the fuck I'm gonna write it. I've got the idea clear as day but have no idea how to put it forth to paper or rather green text story.
You mean that because there was no Mongolia there was Golden Horde and with no Golden Horde there was no population movement northward from the Kievian Rus and therefore no Russia culturally distinct from the rest of Europe?
Your framerate is variable and you're using handbrake. You are also cutting the bitrate in half.
Re-encodes are not fine, they are of inferior quality. You're literally taking files someone else prepared, making them worse, and then releasing them.
If you want to save space go with the 720p web-dls.
This depends entirely on what Lapis did to get locked up
If this was just a case of "Oh we didn't want to let her go in case she was dangerous", then yeah that's a big mark against the CGs
I'm into seeing pigsex, thanks.
Pearl needs someone who's
nihilistic, intelligent, with a wicked sense of humor.
If you like Greg, you're a retard. Do I have to explain it more clearly, Gregfaggot?
Its been a month since Beecha-Palooza in Sadies Song (kinda, maybe 1 1/2) and exactly a year before that was Steven and the Stevens, episode 22. So definitly less then a year. I'd say maybe 3 months have passed between Jail Break and the latest episode
I remember I made a fic of exploring the zone and the secret was Soviet experimenting on gem artifacts...
Kinda died after the cluster and gem monster was revealed
Wait do you mean Lapis or Peri, because yeah Peridot has only been their for a month, but in universe it seems like several months have passed since Jailbreak happened and Lapis trapped Jasper in a hell fusion.
Since you no what a von Neumann machine is I figured you might find Spin interesting. I don't want to spoil it for you, but if you don't mind spoilers then just read the synopsis somewhere. The characters are meh but the premise is cool as hell.
I do my own iTunes Rips (with TunesKit and other stuff to split without reencoding) and being honest, I can't tell the difference between the original file and my encode.
Why doesn't Greg get back into dating hes still 36
Nah. The CGs probably murdered a bunch of Homeworld gems and newly made quartzes, but they were at war, and that's what happens.
But they wouldn't hurt Steven.
Amethyst was also known as a cure against hangovers in ancient Greece. Due to its colour, the stone was connected with the wine god, and therefore often present during big parties were people would get wasted and have massive orgies. Wearing an amethyst or drinking from a crystal glass supposedly removed your hangovers the day after. I think the party allusion and connection to Dionysus fits with Amy.
Rose quarts also has love-related properties apart form healing.
Some of the gem hocus pocus was obviously in Sugar's mind when she assigned the different personalities to each stone, but it's very loose.
Based on the reaction of "our" Crystal Gems, it seemed like they were honestly surprised that there was a sentient, living Gem trapped in there. Lapis's claims of "Did you ever wonder who I used to be?" also implies that they found the mirror or were given it by someone - Lapis wouldn't be blaming them for that if they knew her beforehand.
Sure, but it's not like he has a choice. His choices are:
-Side with the psychotic rebels.
-Surrender himself to people who find his very existence disgusting and have a massive grudge against both Humanity and the Crystal Gems, of which he is both.
-Live a short life and meaningless life as a human, like the rest of us.
And sure, that last one is the obvious right choice, but he's a human, so he'd never pick that. I mean just look at Connie.
so, what do you think YD will do now?
Will she come to Earth or will she send an elite group of gems to capture/kill Peridot?
I really want this to be the case, it would humanize her to show she's angry over the death of a friend.
Though I also think it's possible PD may have actually supported the rebellion.
Steven had no reason to believe her up to that point. For the rest of the season, he became more aware of the complexities behind each of the CG's past and from that has become more appreciative of what he calls his family.
>I'm a Crystal Gem, too!
He's gonna be with them through thick and thin, no doubt.
