I'm not really a fan of the Pal & Kate episodes either. They're not as bad as the autism episodes, but they don't fit in with the show.

The DW episodes are also a toss-up. She's such a shitlord, but also has some of the best reactions.

There was the one episode that was literally autism speaks with the puzzle, and another one where the autismo agrees to play accordion for some puppet show, and then constantly blows off practice because of autism routines.

I've met quite a few people on the spectrum and my cousin's son has pretty severe autism as well, and none of them are like this. This character is more of a complete dick than an actual kid with autism.

I never really liked most DW episodes for the same reason Kate episodes were shit; her imaginary friends. I guess I'd always seen the show as somewhat grounded in a reality of sorts and things were only weird in their obligatory daydream sequences, but then you suddenly have this totally cartoony stuff with talking animals and magic talking monsters. DW by herself is fine, but when they add the imaginary friends to the plot, it's instant garbage.

I actually didn't hate Bud that much when they added him to the show, because he was the first friend that DW had that was relatively believable. Ladonna on the other hand added nothing to the show.
