Say what you will about Snyder, his visuals are not matched.
Batman will be fighting Superman, how are you not hyped?
>bait for consolewars thread
waiting for19 jan
I agree, but that last shot of the trinity is the only thing I felt that was poorly placed. You spent all that time making a perfect Batman v Superman trailer, and make it pretty much irrelevant by completely changing the focus of the trailer.
>Chris Terrio is writing
How are you not hyped?
>not watching Super Smash Bros directed feat actual directing competence
Man if you want to talk impressive visuals but bad films you'd bring up Tarsem Singh or some shit. Snyder's films look like and are complete shit for the most part.
When did this fucking 'Snyder is good' meme start?
MoS had shitty CGI but at least the sets were kept real to a degree. BvS fight scenes on the other hand looks like it's 80% made of CGI/green screen and we didn't even saw most of the fight scenes. The trinity vs. doomsday fight will be a digital fuckfest.
>2nd "DCEU" flick is a blatant Justice League advertisement
His visuals look ugly as shit.
Washing your garbage in blue filters while slathering it in blurry wetta cg does not make for good visuals.
It looks uglier than the Hobbit movies.
I like this description of Snyder's style that I read.
>Snyder shares many of the strengths and weaknesses of David Fincher. Both got their start in filmmaking on the craftsman side of things (Fincher, FX work and music videos; Snyder, commercials). Both excel at seamlessly integrating CGI into the cinematic palette. Both know how to composite and light a shot so perfectly and so dimly that every figure on the screen seems to be carved out of the background. Their films have a tactility that’s increasingly rare in the digital era; both refuse to surrender texture to clarity and high-definition. You certainly won’t find that quality in Joss Whedon’s massively overrated The Avengers, which is like watching a bunch of Jeff Koons sculptures fly around you at 200 mph.
>man in front of a green screen pretending to hold something that obviously has no weight
>doesn't even buckle around his hands because snyder cannot into pressure
>filmic equivalent of webcomic with a gradient background
>sparks because ya gotsta has sparks
How does one "surrender texture to clarity and high-definition"? If anything one indulges on texture, sacrificing clarity for the sake of high-definition spectacle. And that's certainly what Snyder does.

Yes, the definition I am reading here is clearly a description of Alien 3.
>Batman will be fighting Superman, how are you not hyped?
I was going to list the things that kept me from being hyped, but I'm too bored to type out that list so here's the list of things that I am hyped for:
>doesn't even buckle around his hands because snyder cannot into pressure
Yes it does you stupid fuck.
>If anything one indulges on texture, sacrificing clarity for the sake of high-definition spectacle.
Yeah, which looks fucking awesome. DAT TEXTURE. Check out Batman's beard stubble, fucking gorgeous.
>Both got their start in filmmaking on the craftsman side of things (Fincher, FX work and music videos; Snyder, commercials).
That explains why Snyder's movies all feel like that Ikea commercial.
But commercials are short.
>Started with commercials
Well that explains why all Snyder's trailers end up being way better than the actual movie itself. Also why he's good at big flashy scenes, but garbage at plot, character, and anything else of actual substance.
>seriously believing that Fincher, one of the smartest directors in Hollywood, shares the same strengths and weaknesses with one of the dumbest directors of all time, Hack Snyder
I'm not >>78831751
I just hate idiots that go "DISAGREEING WITH ME IS A MEME LOL REDDIT"
You're both idiots with cyclical arguments and no original thoughts. There are no winners here.
To be fair, Superman straight up says in the trailer that Batman would be paste if he wasn't trying hard to not accidentally kill him.
Hopefully it won't seem any more contrived than that visually.
Not unless it's a fucking pillow.
Sheet steel doesn't do what's happening in those images. Lighter constructions, like wound graphite, aren't capable of supporting the weight of the entire section that way.
It's like when Superman stopped a crashing airliner in Superman Returns and it just crackled a little instead of tearing in half as the weight of it crushed the cabin. It's not physics, it's troll physics.
>30 something year old man doing a web review show called guys in their 20's disappointments.
Doesn't really sting coming from him. Also video reviews universally suck. They just use stupid gimmicks and over the top gesticulations so you won't notice they have no insight or way with words.
Because I don't care about either of them
I hope you'll enjoy the movie though.
Honestly yeah. Most the MCU visuals are sorta bland. This coming from a Huge MCU fan that hasn't even seen MoS. The trailer's for BvS look pretty damn good visually tho. MCU doesn't go all out and it should. Imo it's a bit too grounded on our reality. The onlyrics really great visuals I can think of come from Asgard in general and GotG. Basically Earth looks generally boring in the MCU. Though I have high hopes for Strange and IW in that department.
Honestly while WS was a great movie I fear that Civil War will maintain that grounded simple theme for the setting that WS had. Worked for what that movie was, not so much for what Civil War should be. Giant Man and Spidey are my biggest hopen for the film in terms of crazy visuals. Also Wakanda should be fun
>his visuals are not matched
>literally shaking camera and instagram filters.
Snydercucks never fail to make me laugh.
yeah and this looks like shit. Snyder uses too much CGI when he doesn't even need to and his action sequences all look like he just took a scene from a video game and shoved it in the middle of a movie.
>how are you not hyped?
I am but my boner ain't that big, after reading some comics or watch cartoons every time they fight, you know more or less how shit will go down. btw isn't mind controlled Superman already confirmed?I'm more hype for more stuff like Suicide squad or how they will handle other characters that are not Sups and Batman.
I've been burned too many times when it comes to getting on the hype train. I'll reserve judgment until after I've seen the movie.
And I haven't cared about the concept of Batman vs Superman since grade school.
>You certainly won’t find that quality in Joss Whedon’s massively overrated The Avengers, which is like watching a bunch of Jeff Koons sculptures fly around you at 200 mph.
I-I swear im not a DCfag guys!
Christ, why not try to leave the consolewars behind.
but this is abbiously bait that i fell for because Snyder is poor man's Fincher
Sometimes I think Zach Snyder makes these threads to poll interest for himself. Not for any professional usage, I think. Just for himself. He sits there, alone and naked in a dark room lit ever dimly by a computer monitor. He isn't touching himself, just refreshing the page of a thread he posted. Feeling his presence among the nerds. Reading the feedback. Whether it's hate or praise it's feeding his performance complex until full expansion is reached. Autonomous climax is achieved.
