It’s The Office with superheroes.
NBC has ordered a comedy pilot set in the DC Comics universe “full of superheroes, villains and people just like us.” The title is Powerless and it’s billed as “an office comedy about the exceedingly average employees at an insurance company and their quest to find their own power.” Ben Queen (Cars 2) is the writer. So it’s a bit like… DC’s Agents of Allstate?
Powerless is one of four pilots ordered by the network on Thursday that also include Marlon Wayans potentially returning to TV in a self-titled series. The pitch: “Loosely inspired by Marlon Wayans’ life, this multi-camera comedy centers on an inappropriate but loving father (Wayans) committed to successfully co-parenting with his polar opposite ex-wife.”
If they add these two guys I'm in.
Jesus Christ /co/ is a bunch of retards or shills I can't tell what.
Superheroes will NOT be in the show and they aren't secret agents.
I work in insurance this is how the calls are gonna go
>Superman was fighting Zod and landed on my car
>I'm sorry ma'am but it doesn't look like you have comprehensive on your car just collision.
>This isn't considered a collision!?
>Well no ma'am, we classify superheroes as acts of God, no one is liable.
>So my wife was killed by Black Manta
>Oh I am so sorry, that actually isn't covered under the basic protection, you have to have our SV Gold Pack.
>My god....I'm...I'm gonna lose everything.
>I'm so sorry sir, would you like to upgrade in case you are killed by a super villain, your child would definitely appreciate it and they are known to attack the same areas.
So they're reviving this old pitch? I'm pretty sure I heard somebody pitch this exact concept a couple of years ago...
It's like that Green Arrow "Supermax" movie pitch that kept resurfacing here until the "Arrow" TV series finally got made.
Well, this seems interes-
>Ben Queen (Cars 2)
i don't think that's a thing any longer
There's probably a ban between shows, I'm guessing Fox wouldn't be too happy if Bat villains started showing up in CW's shows.
Still wouldn't hold my breath.
>damage control show
