ITT: Good Designs, Obscure characters
>>78801471
2NDED!
>>78801471
>chuck austen character
>good
no
>>78801471
>blonde white cis woman
No.
> But Overdesigned...
SUCK MY FUCKING DICK SIMPLICITY FAGS
>>78801560
That's really generic looking.
>>78801471
>>78801602
In way at all.
She looks grand and mesmerizing.
>>78801471
Lionheart's got a great look. They need to bring her back under someone competent.
But she's a British hero. So the best she can hope for is to pop up briefly in ten years the next time Marvel decides to do a Captain Britain/Excalibur/MI-13 book.
>>78801471
I always liked Firelord. I'm a sucker for flaming hair.
>>78801471
Keep trying, because that costume is anything but good.
>>78801560
Holy shit, that design is fucking baller. Who is the character?
>>78801537
He said good designs not good characters.
>>78801555
But Cis Women are the most important "minority".
>>78801560
I like the hair, but yeah simplify or unify or something.
Not an obscure character but a shortlived design.
I liked his little solo book too.
>>78801471
Lionheart of Avalon was awesome. Kelsey was my favorite character in that story
>>78801835
My guy. Never got around to reading much of his solo, just the few first issues but they were nice, as was the preceding mini.
>>78801471
>>78801673
>battle costume
>high heels
When will this meme end?
>>78801861
She looks like a Misfits reject.
>>78801471
Her head looks like a fucking Polandball.
>>78801471
>>78801722
Haven a X-Factor Villain.
>>78801723
>but yeah simplify or unify or something.
Go to fucking hell, detail IS THE POINT.
Does Wraith count?
>>78801930
Austen's Avengers is probably the least awful of his Marvel work. Still not good, but I can tolerate it.
So... fucking... badass, in both the comics & tas.
>>78802002
Never because Lionheart isn't some ignoble basic bitch.
>>78802134
Which is why I said unify. If you don't want to simplify then unify the elements a bit more.
She's apparently got some Snake theme but it took a while to see that. Probbaly work in more snake skin on the lower body, the snake heels threw me.
Is there a better picture?
>>78802046
hello miss tits
This guy actually has a fantastic design.
>>78802137
It helps that he had Coipel on art.
what about retconned costumes
>>78802706
that fucking dog...
Mouse, a DCU thief and general scoundrel with an aversion to killing. She sadly got ruined by other writers after her first few appearances where she formed a thief gang with Catwoman for an Ocean's 11 heist.
>>78803866
holy shit my dick
>>78804127
She's a shy nerd girl in her real identity too.
Troll could've been a neat character, too bad they just dropped her.
>>78801471
>>78804412
Put some pants on, lady.
This shit's fabulous.
>>78801723
>tfw no r34 of Ultimate Shadowcat in that costume
>>78805443
I love when people complain about superheroines running around in skimpy impractical outfits like they're the only ones.
>>78805856
Let's not start this.
>>78801928
>That time he tore the Thunderbolts a new one in that costume
Oh baby
>>78801723
I'm still mad that Kitty only wore that for a few issues.
It was perfect
>>78802002
That's not a meme god damn it
>>78804590
That is actually really cool. What is her name? I assume it's not Starfire and that she just showed up in Starfire's book...
>>78808357
>Characters name is Brain Damage
How Not to be Taken Seriously: A Guide
>>78807866
>White people with dreads
I'll never not hate this.
>>78809730
That is Starfire. Not the alien princess and not the Russian superhuman, but the alien adventurer who came between them. Technically that would make her Starfire II and Kory is Starfire III.
I literally only know this character for showing up in Who's Who with a neat costume.
>>78802863
Cuz of this I always thought Starlord was alien or kree
>>78809730
Her name is Starfire. She had a short-lived series in 1976. Kory never had her own series until the current one.
>>78802136
that artist does not know how to draw a punch
>>78810061
I mean, he's half alien.
I'm a fan of cheese cake.
>>78810642
>>78810673
>>78810771
>>78810897
>>78801928
YES. Even better drawn by Deodato.
>>78810642
C'mon, don't make this thread be about that. Cheesecake threads are always popular enough on their own.
>>78811227
Well, I was trying to keep it obscure cheesecake.
>>78802002
When they stop making asses look great
I miss you Jack Flag.
>>78810771
Jesus man, just because it's cheescake doesn't mean it's good design
>>78801537
She's a great design.
>>78802137
Nope. His Exiles is acceptable. His Gambit issues of Ultimate X-Men are legit among the best stories that series ever had.
>>78815086
The Gambit issues were terrible, and his Exiles is only inoffensive because the Exiles were too awesome for just one man to fuck up. It took a whole slew of motherfuckers to bring down that beast.
>>78801560
Who the fuck is this? Quetzalcoatl?
>>78807717
It was really, really great. Great cathartic payoff after the Jack Flagg beatdown too.
>>78806587
Holy shit, I forgot Valkyrie is a beef-master.
Magnificent.
Though, I don't think Jim Lee actually drew her like that in Mastermen.
>>78802043
Aw man, when I was a kid I had the action figure of him and to my mind at that age he was by far the coolest of all the GI Joes from a purely visual standpoint.
>>78801471
Goddamnit
I love her "sacrifices herself to save Captain America from Wrecking Crew" origin, that's badass as hell. Too bad it's fucking Chuck Austen who came up with her, so she was shittily-written. I wish a good writer got their hands on her and redeemed her. Wasting someone with a good origin like that is a crime.
>>78801471
>mommy issues - the character
>>78801471
stingray,
>>78801861
On that note, Buzzsaw. I love his toy so much.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aB4ER8eURk
>>78809800
>Hi, my name is Brain Damage.
>Sir, I've got some terrible news. It's Brain Damage.
>Foiled again by Brain Damage.
This guy practically writes himself.
>>78815694
The Gambit issues were fine. Ultimate X-Men was, for the most part, a pretty bad series though.
Any and all of the Spaceknights, but especially Starshine. I love how Marvel managed to take a one-off toy and base the aesthetics of a whole alien species around it, so that each Spaceknight looks like he or she COULD have been a toy. I also love how they are themed around an ability and the general style of the armors.
Shame it all got burned down like three times since then. RIP Brandy, at least you can be together with ROM in the afterlife now.
