Why does all the food have "Poop" on it? Is Vasquez really into toilet humor or something?
>watch Invader Zim any time it's on, GIR obviously my fave character
>go out to a restaurant with Mom and Sis
>waitress asks what I want to drink
>"If I were GIR I'd wanna large class of POOP!"
>Mom cringes into a singularity
It still hurts.
Well, they at one point show the brand mascot, Poop Dogg, but which joke branched from which?
There's also a single frame in one episode, where the Irken symbol is printed on the bottom of a Poop can.
But this implication seems to contradict earlier impressions they gave, of earth being a total unknown in the boondocks of the galaxy. Though, given how Vasquez loves to show beaureaucratic incompetence, that may have been entirely intentional.
Please excuse me, I was unhealthily obsessed with this show when I was younger. Thank god I didn't discover the Internet until I was over it.
I was the same way mate, but I was 13 with near unlimited internet access, at least util 10 O'Clock. So much research, role playing, and more went into IZ. You know what I could have been learning with all that time? But no, I'll always remember that Irken's Identity are tied to their PAKS and that Minnie Moose was retconned into the last episode, but Nick wouldn't let them use the gag where he was poorly photoshoped into a quick series of flashbacks.
Though, it did introduce to me to my best friend in Middle School. It was this British girl I met online, who was 4 or 5 years older than me. We used to roleplay all the time, and being 13 it quickly divulged into sex... I just fucking realized 12-13 year old me was sexting with an 17-18 year old.
>there are people who still don't know the invader zim commentary is just as hilarious if not more so than the show itself
One bit that really cracked me up was the Voice actor for GIR saying that if someone recognizes him in a hallway or an elevator, and asks if "SOMEBODY NEEDS A HUG", then "I will crush you."
I don't think he was being even slightly humorous, he had that deadpan voice of someone about to snap. It should've been mortifying but it was hilarious to me.
Youtube has some, otherwise you'll have to get hte DVDs. Neat stuff, like when Zim's house with Gir's a.i. crashes through a retirement home, nick insisted that the old people couldn't look infirm, so the director had them dressed in snowboarding gear.

Are you me?
I regret giving away almost all my merch. ;__;
