Not normally a comic reader, but my girlfriend's son's birthday is coming up and he's a big Batman fan. What are some good Batman graphic novels that are suitable for a 12 year old?

For a normal 12 year old?
Batman black and white, year one, that piece os shit hush, batman and robin, any adventures of batman stuff.
Any. Their made for kids you flowerhat-bitch. Stop trying to cocoon "your" kid and show him what the world is like.
Zero Year was solid.
Maybe Dark Knight Returns?
Morrison's JLA has plenty of good Batman, and it's not too meta for a 12 year old to get, but it might be a bit harder to find.
And Tomasi's run on Batman & Robin was good too.
people are being antogonitic about a simple question but id say Loebs Superman/batman from 2003 which continues through other writers after 2 years... and this
not sure how either series is collected but its the kind of thing i would have been clamoring for at 12
There's three volumes of Batman Adventures out. There's also plenty of volumes out for Showcase presents B&W stuff. Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Mad Love, Batman: batman tales of the demon, Court of Owls, Heart of Hush, etc.
>getting involved with sloppy seconds
>beta cuck faggot
Get on tumblr instead, and buy yourself whatever the land whales are creaming over. The kid won't like you for it but at least he'll realise what a useless fag "daddy" is.
12's old enough to read pretty much any big 2 comic if we're being truthful, familiar one. Batman's not going to introduce him to anything a daytime rerun of CSI/NCIS/L&O wouldn't.
At a certain point in your 20s it becomes nearly impossible to find a girl without a kid, unless you want to date an annoying 18 year old. Women are whores, you have to adapt.
Be ready to raise an edgy, entitled, DC kiddie...why not introduce him to heroin his life will be better
