January 29th, everybody.
What do you call a threesome ship?
Where were you when Darling stole all the Waifus
W-Where is this from? Tell me now!
Never mind, I got it. God, I can't believe who that really is. Runs in the blood?
Monster High is getting an overhaul on doll design as well as many girls will be discontinued for either being "too scary" or "too sexy"
Ever After High? all they really seem to be doing is chaning the "title" to incorporate the new slogan "Princesses are powerful"
maybe? she had Spring Unsprung and some funny moments in Wonderland
Kitty is best girl.
>Monster High is getting an overhaul on doll design as well as many girls will be discontinued for either being "too scary" or "too sexy"
Which ones are being discontinued? Where is this information coming from?
Wait, what's scary about them? They're pretty cute. I thought Monster High was about cute monster girls being cute monster girls and they have the most non threatening designs I have seen.
>The Cheshire pulled the girl back around, face to face, bare bodies pressed against each other, eyes interlocking with one another – staring at Cerise that made her question if Kitty was “more wolf than she was?”
>“Now, how about letting me warm you up, kitten?” the Cheshire smiled hungrily at her mate, her hands intertwining in the black and white hair.
>She pulls the wolf closer to her, their faces mere inches away from one another - her mouth consumed the others. At first the young hood was taken aback, but her hands instinctively reached up to grab the back of the other woman’s neck - not wanting to be on the defense, she went on the offense.
>Hungrily, the two animals attacked one another; both of them getting a taste of one another – something that they were familiar with one another all too well.
>The cat nibbled once more at the scarlet lips in front of her before she pulled away. With a mighty thrust, she pushed the other one backwards.
>Cerise fell to the mattress behind her with a bounce; the young hood looked back up at her assailant, whom was just hovering over her with the hungry eyes she has come to love.
>The Cheshire just smiled at the tasty platter that lay before her. Cerise squeezed her eyes tightly before opening them both wide – revealing the golden eyes she had inherited with a wicked grin of her own.
>The cat pounced on her prey.
But little girls loved Monster High as it was. I think it's the parents that see a Frankenstein's Monster fashion doll and thinks it's too scary for their kid. I remember a controversy over Skelita that she would encourage little girls to become anorexic. I mean Skelita is a skeleton a reanimated corpse for crying out loud. Then again so is Frankie, Draculara, Cleo, Nefera, and Ghoulia but Nefera and Ghoulia get discontinued while the others stay. Kick out Spectra and introduce new Ghost girl.
All these MILFs are making me want some parent focused episodes.
I bet Faybelle's mom was smoking hot too.
Probably after, if it happens at all now.
>Apple and Darling are racing rivals
It's coming true!
same universe different dimensions. one of the girls at ever after used to be a monster high.
I like Ever After more, because it is more than just shitty puns(although it is mostly that) and the fate vs free will fight was neat although that seems to be over with.
I don't even want to know how much Cupid got to but I just ordered a Skelita and Gooliope. I went through the /toy/ thread and I'm really tempted to go doll hunting over the next few months because of this. I always just planned on watching the shorts and movies only and now look at me.
Original Sweet 1600 line Cupid from what I hear is over $50 now. If you want to go doll hunting, go to Ross, DDs, or any Dollar General or Family Dollar if you are in the US as they range from $7.50 to $13.50 you would come out cheeper buying two dolls that usually would range in the 60 dollar limit and get them half that price.
Eh I can pass on Cupid. But I will hunt down a Skelita since she had that unique sculpt.
But damn fuck that. The Scary bit was part of the appeal. Gutting that from the line. Gonna make it shit.
She's really cute too.
What sense does that make? These are human characters so porn of them won't be furry. And /co/ watches a lot of toy shilling crap. Transformers is a doll franchise and so is GI Joe, don't even get me started on Ben 10 — that sells out harder than Kiss.
Are you sure you're not just making excuses for your boring cartoon for little girls?
I don't know why. I always assumed it was because the girls weren't 12 or domething
Or essentially it being not-monster high
But I figured since it came out around equestria girl's first movie, so it could have been that
I don't know, chapter 1 was already complete by the time I got into ever after
>The good King isn't Raven's biological father
>still raises her as his daughter, and being tied for best father
This is some "Deepest lore" shit.
Is this what happens when Steve is given free reign?
>Raven Queen, the bastard spawn of 100 maniacs
>TFW Your Mother-In-Law wants to hang out
Pic related. Apple and Cedar need to hang out more.
>Raven's real blood father.
Seems extremely unlikely. The books, which admittedly aren't 100% followed by the cartoon, indicate Raven was a little kid while Evil Queen was trying to destroy the universe, and then she got sealed up I think a while before Raven went to Nursery Rhyme school. I might have the time frame wrong there.
I wasn't expecting this, but this episode got me thinking the mean but insecure girl and the laid-back
and totally a metaphor for being bigirl would be cute together.
The animators seem to prefer Sparrow/Duchess, though, and I can't fault 'em on that.
Well hey, an ongoing trend in "every hairstyle Raven ever has looks better than her default hairstyle." Sheesh, if she kept any of her alternate hairstyles I'd heartily approve. They seem to really like giving her a green streak in her hair in the specials...
Also, jesus, they coordinated their makeup again. They really like having a matching motif at sporting events, don't they?
so if Raven is Freddy, would Apple become Jason because of the whole fear of drowning? or would she become Sadako/Samaro because of a well?
>Raven is supposed to be "evil" but isn't and while she's carrying around a lot of resentment for her mom's semi-abusive treatment and stage mom bullshit still insists her mom wasn't THAT bad aside from nearly destroying the universe that one time
>Snow White still feels bad about how Evil Queen turned out and confides in Apple she doesn't think she'd have gone off the rails like she did if she'd had more friends
Actually, this kind of makes sense. Apple's not a terribly cynical person and the two women she trusts implicitly both openly express the opinion Mrs. Queen isn't all bad. Headmaster Grimm does, but this entire series has been steadily undermining Apple's capacity to trust him.
Since she never interacted with Raven's mom like she did in the books, Apple doesn't realize Raven still loves her mom with the extremely important caveat that she also doesn't trust her at all.
I forget, did we jump on the "We're totally not on a date, guys" thing earlier or not?
Yes indeed, anon.
Also, I can't help but feel like the animators were having a little fun with some of the details of the future generation students that show up for a few seconds at the end of the episode...
Not that I know of. Then again, I've only really looked into the comfy yuri fanart for the most part so I can't speak to such content from a position of authority.
As someone mentioned, Raven's mom becoming a school nemesis for a while might lend itself well to some spanking-fetish content, but I wouldn't hold my breath if you're into that kinda thing, either.
Depressing, but I suppose expected. I've seen one other fetish, but this has wandered a bit far afield so I'm going to leave it there.
I have to wonder, it looks like Faybelle is working with Evil Queen in Dragon Games, or at least is tricked into helping Mira Shards. Are they gonna keep the plot point from the books where Evil Queen taking over the Evil Fairy's job in Sleeping Beauty is the REASON Faybelle hates Raven?
Of course, from the looks of it she'll team up with them later, so that would make sense if they do keep it. Faybelle seems to be less of a villain than a mean, selfish person who fucks up, feels bad about it later, and tries to fix it.
Its hard to say, its perfectly in character for Feybelle to just mess around with stuff for Shits and Giggles. I can see her idolizing the evil queen or as in the books disliking her for trying to steal her families evil stick
Feybella is more of a wild card then even Kitt
So there was a scene in the song where Apple wakes up. True loves Kiss?
What? Well yes I am crazy but I don't see what that has to do with anything
Well /co/ seems to hate MH out of their nostalgia for Ghoul School, which is about almost worse than MH. I have also noticed a lot of completely wrong misconceived notions about the personalities of the characters.
What will the death of Ghoulia do for the value of her existing action figure?
>"How in the hell did you get out to fight me? I put all of you except Raven under my old poison apple spell and then locked up all the boys in a different part of the castle!"
>"...What, ALL of you? Wow."
>"Well, not Ashlynn. Squirrels helped Hunter get to her."
Anyone can do better than the Beta Prince.
Except maybe Duchess
But since being Duchess is suffering, Dexter is her only option.
Can't decide between Humphrey and Faybelle for her. I never saw the chemistry with her and Sparrow, he just kind of seems like someone she strings along when she needs a guy's help with something.
Please, Faybelle has better prospects.
>Daring is best boy though
Oh there is no doubt about that, but Daring with Apple is just wrong.
Joking aside I do find it hilarious that the most amount of time Apple and Daring have spent together was when they both had their personalities reversed.
She just wants everyone to get their happily ever after.
True but at this point all the ladies have been snapped up by his alpha siblings. What options does he have left?
“Alright, I’m heading to bed.” The daughter of the evil queen turned away.
Raven felt something tugging at her.
“Raven…wait,” Apple softly spoke as she pulled on her roommates dress.
“What’s wrong apple,” the black haired woman turned back to her friend.
“-This…” the young blonde continued, her words a bit slurred, “What are you…going to do about this.” She said, her face turning as red as her namesake. “It felt too good…” Apple’s hands went straight down into her lap, pressing her dress against her body. “And…now I’m…”
“huh…?” Raven looked at her questioningly, trying to study the now hunched over roommate whom seem to be trying to hide something. It suddenly hit her. Apple leapt at her.
“You need to take responsibility Raven!” the red faced woman came closer, trying to press her body against her friend.
“Wait! Hold on!” Raven cried out, her hand reflexively reached out, pushing against the blonde’s chest, as she tried to create some space between the two.
“You can’t just tempt me like that, Raven.” Apple pressed onward.
“Who is trying to tempt who here?” Raven shouted defensively; she felt the back of her thigh hitting the side of her bed. She had run out of room.
“Raven,” Apple grabbed the “evil” girl’s shoulders, her eyes filled with lust. “I LOVE YOU!” she pulled at Raven’s shirt, ripping it off her body, exposing the goodies within to the world outside.
At that moment, the “evil queen” froze up. Unprepared for what had happened next as she felt her body hit the comforter behind her.
Apple had now jumped onto of the bed with her villainess, her legs straddling on both sides of her legs. Using her hands to pin down Raven’s arms, the young snow white’s mouth began to work at the evil queen’s neck.
Raven’s mind was starting to over-heat as she tried to process everything that was going on. What was Apple doing to her? Why was Apple trying to do this? What was it that was causing her to do this? But no matter what the question was, she was in no position to think clearly enough to find an answer.
She could feel Apple’s tongue start to trail downwards, Raven needed to find a way out of this situation. Could she kick her friend? No; that could cause harm to both of them, and for all she knew, it would just make her more aggressive. Could she use magic on her? No; in her current state of mind, her powers would probably go out of control and do some severe damage. Raven quickly searched her mind, racing to find some answer that could get them both out of this situation with the least amount of damage done.
Apple’s tongue reached further down. Raven’s eyes widen; her mind on fire. She was trying not let out a noise; she knew if she did, it would be over. Her head craned backwards as she tried to use all of her strength just not to scream; trying to find something that could set them free.
Only one thing came to her mind that could save her. She screamed at the top of her lungs.
It was at that moment; that Apple’s wishing well had dried up.
The next morning Milton Grimm’s brother received a basket of cookies with a note that said,
Even the pixies want dat Charming vag.
I seem to recall one of the animators joking that Dexter was in fact destined to be Hopper's princess somewhere...
>Faybelle, while dedicated to her destiny, actually really likes Briar and is basically her perky/sassy evil friend
>Their relationship was what Apple imagined her partnership with Raven was going to be like
If you look at it like that, maybe Apple's been subconsciously shipping Briar/Faybelle all along and won't realize it until she's honest about her thirst.
I just realized that Kitty does have a caterpillar-pet
and the caterpillar is very sentient
>but then; for one thing they are bugs and for the other
>shouldn't that dude have turned into a butterfly ages ago?
it's a magical land everything could happen
like maybe Maddie doesn't have a mom because her dad pulled her out of his hat one of those days
or the stork is really bringing babies to people
and fairies are the worst: they steal children out of their crib and put back changelings
the land of EverAfterHigh is very scary
I do like the notion that the hatters find their offspring in the Hat of Many Things when the time is right, and one day Maddie will find a baby in there while she's pulling things out.
Stork theory would be frigging hilarious, if only because I imagine Raven insisting that's a story for Nursery Rhymes when Apple's worried they're doing something that will cause them to have a baby only for a stork to show up nine months later, looking smug.
I wonder if they have sex -ed in EAH;
>So, who knows how babies are made? Yes, Ginger?
>My mom made me herself. I am 20% gingerbread
>Oh my dad told me! One day during the right time a baby pops out of the hat of many things
>Sure- Um- Daring? I am sure you know-
>Of course! The stork brought me.
>...let's start at zero. Who can tell me what the difference between a boy and a girl is?
I'd be okay with this.
There's no proof that MH is getting rid of any characters, just focusing even more on the personalities of Frankie, Clawdeen, and Draculaura. Ghoulia and Operetta sell very well, at least to doll customizers, so I doubt they will get rid of them at the very least. I like some of the changes the reboot is bringing, like molded-on wrappings for Cleo.
Y'know, I do kinda feel like Kitty/Lizzie does have a bit more of a leg to stand on than Kitty/Cerise.
Although I like Lizzie/Daring more and I'm kinda digging Cerise/Rosabella as a concept...
Apple is tricked into touching the glass since she doesn't have the safety precautions Raven's gotten used to and Evil Queen threatens or enchants her into keeping quiet about it.
Faybelle fucks things up for everyone, feels bad about it, and helps the group in the eleventh hour.
Apple and Raven hold hands.
Apple and Raven need to work together to beat Evil Queen.
Darling kicks ass.
Dexter and Daring are around but do nothing significant for the entire special.
Raven and her mom air the grievances of a complicated mother/daughter relationship through fighting with deadly energy blasts.
Apple and Raven hold hands again.
Everybody dances at the end.
I would think, if theres a full moon, Clawdeen could claw or bite like a wolf but the question is; would she
Is anyone else annoyed by Cerise having a sister now?
it sucks and goes completely against canon as well as destroying any sort of character development we had
I really hope that they'll either change it or reveal that it's some sort of split-personality Cerise developed
Yeah, hopefully Ramona is a cousin that is the wolf of the three pigs... Some one that believes she will also be the red riding hood wolf. She abuses cerise even saying stuff like she can't wait to have cerise squirming in her gullet
with bunnies being explosive breeders, does anyone think that Bunny has some siblings?
>or that we get the March Hares son/daughter one day?
>though I prefer a son
>just look at all the wonderland chicks starved for the d fanning over Alistair
>The March Hare has a son, who the Wonderlanders all describe as a real weirdo
>This is because he is, to the people in Ever After, a completely normal, laid-back person who drinks tea and leaves the riddles and madness to others.
>His father is extremely disappointed in him and hopes some time abroad will fix his weird son.
>She abuses cerise even saying stuff like she can't wait to have cerise squirming in her gullet
People unironically enjoy this vapid preteen-focus-group shit?
I mean the horse show was understandable since it had at least decent writing and some good creative minds behind it, but from what I've seen of the "____ High" series, it's mindless bullshit that plays every single trope and cliche in the book.
have you ever watched EAH?
Monster High might be episodic and cliche, but Ever After High has a strong continuity and is actually quite deep if you dig a little into it
>and by deep I mean it's grim dark under all that sugar
>it's mindless bullshit that plays every single trope and cliche in the book.
that honestly helps ever after high in my opinion, since Fairy Tales are more or less the origin of all those cliches.
I mean look at darling.
>can slow down time with a smile
>Most attractive girl, hates it when boys oogles her.
and it really works for her in the series...now say if we were to take Darling and put her in a ...let's say a Magical wizard setting. do you know who she would be closest to?
Ebony Way from my immortal
Don't forget that Clawdeen showed a fiercer side earlier in the show. She went near mental when her older brother and best friend started dating; scaring the crap out of Clawd by cornering him in a closet and destroying his basketball.
As for physical ability. She's on the cheer squad so she can't be out of shape. The 13 Wish movie showed off some of her speed against a booby trap and another movie has her avoid arrows for a time when cat girl was trying to shoot her. The full moon gives her a lot of energy too just not sure if anything else.
Possible drawbacks. Clawdeen doesn't appear to have super strength--Yeti snow girl is used when those situations come up. Clawdeen is fast but then half the school are either zombies or monsters made of dead parts. Not sure how she would be against Cerise.
Don't know too much about Cerise's powers aside from speed but at the heart present Clawdeen is more the fashion girl and level headed type over the rough and tumble one like Cerise. Also pretty Cerise a lot bigger in size than Clawdeen.
What do you guys think?
Blondie starts dating Dexter. Raven finds she doesn't care as much as she thought she would, and Apple comforts her.
Duchess and Poppy go out for a while. They get into an argument over Duchess' attitude but in the end they work it out.
Courtly seduces Daring in order to make Lizzie cry again.
Briar builds up the courage to tell Apple how she truly feels about her, but walks in on Apple and Raven sharing their first kiss. Briar hangs herself.
Lilly Bo Peep gets expelled for fucking a dragon.
Surprised there's no official crossover episode/movie of MH and EAH
There's a difference between
>garbage flash-tween-animated bullshit created for no reason other than to push a doll line, with vapid its-for-girls-so-we-dont-have-to-try writing
So, anyone else pick up the new book last week?
also the 5th is announced, "Truth or Hair" which I guess is the O'hair twins story...about time
Well since you have such a mindset, there really is no way for us to "explain it to you"
to put it short though
People like Monster High for the waifus
People like Ever After High for the surprisingly complex characters and nice stories
selfor is pretty good, of course there is the trickyness of "continuity" with Hale's books
The weakest one is probably Ginger's book, which isn't weak perse, the major downsides are: It focused on Ginger/Hopper Bull; as well as it tried to victimize The candy witch, and pretty much said her mother was essentially the first candy witch instead of a generational thing like we know of.
Though one thing I give the book is that it explained the whole "Ginger Witch/Breadhouse" thing. Ginger was essentially bullied in elementary school that she was home schooled; when middle school comes around she changes her name and gives herself a makeover so that she could pretend she wasn't a witch's child...as being younger, she hated the idea of being her mother's child.
Surprisingly, all the books had them with suffering childhoods for Duchess. Ginger, and Darling.
>all the books had them with suffering childhoods
I'm not sure how to feel about that. But then Hale's books had a darker backstory for Raven, Cerise, Cedar, and, in a smaller way, Apple.
How is the one with Darling?
Seems unlikely, given that the blue fairy is mentioned to still be around in Cedar's story bits in the third book, iirc. I think she might live in Gepetto and Pinocchio's town in the Ever After canon.
it's kind of what you expect, where she is forced to do generic princess stuff while her brothers got to do boy things.
but it did talk a bout how her parents were so annoyed with boy coming to their castle to propose to Darling, that they locked her away in one into their highest towers for a long long time.
the suffering in Darling's story is more directed towards Dexter rather than her.
>the suffering in Darling's story is more directed towards Dexter rather than her.
Lol! Well from what you told me, these books are worth a read. Will pick favored characters though.
>The closest thing to a mom Cedar had went poof
Oof. That's a little dark.
Given the cyclical nature of EA, I'd imagine she wouldn't have been able to cross the barrier even so. Farrah taking over is kind of odd, given that her role is being Ashlynn's godmother, but some people are double-dipping on their destinies already so I guess that works.
I do wonder about some of the shorter nursery rhyme characters still working on their destiny. I mean, Apple has a short adventure and then becomes queen, so she needs the education, but Lilly's destiny is that her sheep get lost one day and then wander back on their own, after which she presumably goes back to being the sexiest shepherdess in all the land. I always wondered if people in her position sympathized with rebelling because their story was so short and nothing exciting happens in it compared to the others so they get a boring family tradition to uphold.
Did she ever come across Faybelle in Way Too Wonderland? Is she waiting for the weird sheep she was taking care of and then lost track of when the spell wore off to come back because that's how the story goes?
kind of like a script I have dabbled with for a Mad Hatter like story, where he is kind of normal but everyone else sees him as mad
after all "what does it mean to be mad in a place like Wonderland"
when they get mad, slap fights will occur, if lucky, there will be claw marks
>Ever After High
When someone gets mad, there might be a school cursing. so many screams, silenced in a second.
each book has a pair (like Duchess and Lizzie) but the book itself is about one of the girls.
Raven and Apple are in supporting roles, Raven gives kind of a "Rebels aren't meant to be praised" to duchess...that's all that comes to mind.
I wonder if people will just mistake him as bunny's cousin or something
>people, I'm a hare
>that's a big difference. my ears are longer and I am way taller
>I wonder if he'd get along with her at all
>I am way taller
But Wonderlanders should be smoll
