Am I the only one who thinks that Dark Knight's Bane is somehow better than Comic's Bane in terms of dialogue?
That's the first thing that got me hooked to the character.
Tom Hardy as Bane was GOAT. One of the few good parts of TDKR. The voice was weird but it had a ton of character. If not for /tv/'s Baneposting he would be remembered as one of the best capeshit movie villains.
“Ah you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!”
>the ending of a movie is the only important part
>negates the actor's overall performance
>negates the character's effectiveness
How did you come to this conclusion?
I disagree. I found Bane legitimately intimidating. Confident but not cocky, and obviously enjoying the challenge of facing Batman.
>tfw DC knows about our dank memes
How long until MMM BOYS and HOL UP make their way into some comics?
Only easily-impressed idiots and teenage edgelords think Joker was any good.
Harvey Dent was a much stronger character than a shallow generic sociopath and deserved more screentime as Two-Face.
>White washed character
>Stupid explanation for Luchadore Mask
>Talks like a faggot
>Every line is meme-tastic
>Plot pretends he's Ra's Al Ghul child
>Dies by getting shot...
>We had to sit through that nonsense movie to see him go out like a bitch
>op thinks it's an improvement.
proof op is a fag.
But seriously, that movie was terrible. Stocks and finance don't work like that.
Also fusion reactors aren't an ardunio away from a hydrogen bomb.
I mean god the plot made no fucking sense. Months went by without any intervention?
>Hispanic isn't a race, moron
Never said it was.
I said the character was white washed. Removing all traits that would normally signify heritage. The comic character is luchadore, movie Bane has a magical drug mask.
Also I'm white, hispanic(both parents born in mexico), 6"4', and have a masters in computer science. So yeah I know about not fitting in to the stereotype.
Yes, that's what generic sociopaths in fiction do. Come up with shitty excuses to justify their actions to themselves and everyone else. Look at Anton Chigurh (the coin), John Doe (sins), Hannibal Lecters (rudeness). Doesn't make them less shallow as characters.
I like comics Bane, but my favorite quote by him is in TDKR when Tom Hardy says "We both know that I now have to kill you. You'll just have to imagine the fire!". It's just delivered so good, and specially considering that in the script he says it in the opposite way (as in "You'll just have to imagine the fire. We both know that I have to kill you.")
>The comic character is luchadore,
No he is not, he uses a mask that looks like that, luchadores are from fucking mexico. Bane is from Santa Prisca, a spanish colony that is closer to Cuba.
Fucking mexicans pieces of shit.
Probably you are not the only one that thinks such a thing, because probably you are not the only one who didn't read much comics with Bane.
Movie bane is better than the brainless powerhouse from most Batman and Dc animated cartoons but was really terrible and inconsistent compared with comic Bane
Dude, you've got problems. You don't have to find a weak point in a post and rail against it like it's blasphemy.
Luchador comment was reference to character design. Apparently some comic agrees >>78753999. Also the rest of the internet.
Anyway the character is still white washed in the movie. The voice was almost as stupid as batmans needless grunt speak. A Spanish accent could have been wonderful. And, again, Bane's mask makes no sense in the movie. As a luchadore mask, it can at least be called a stylistic choice.
Actor choice was fine, but he was given a terrible character to portray.
>it's bigger th4n you
it's bigger than a meme
it's got an almost supernatural power to it at this point
baneposting is life
The big guy? I liked his look at least, but the backstory was horrible. It would have bee amazing if they went with the "brother of Bruce" idea.
>Bane's mask makes no sense in the movie
It gives him is medicine, it was explained in the movie.
They cut off his heritage because it'd have been hard to explain what a south-american was doing in a prison in the middle-east.
>It gives him is medicine, it was explained in the movie.
I'm aware, but explain how that makes sense.
>They cut off his heritage because it'd have been hard to explain what a south-american was doing in a prison in the middle-east.
Really? So the bank foreclosing on wayne manor, a place that been in bruce's family for decades, needed no explanation, but a white guy from a different country then you'd normally assume is completely inexplicable.
There's just no reason to remove the character from any south american heritage, yet leave all the other plot sins in. Unless you want to white wash the character because it would be more palatable to your audience.
He may be a good interpretation...
..but they ruined his origin and ending. There were some moments in the middle of TDKR in which Bane was pretty interesting though, I'll agree with that. Hardy did his best.
Not the guy but the final reveal makes the whole image that movie was building over bane go away, and make him just another henchman, meanwhile this powerful image was actually from Talia and is not even there too much time, to full the role the movie was building to.
In the end Bane was just a henchman that not even Ras wanted, and not like the movie tells you because he was too extreme, but because he reminded Ras about the hell the woman he loved had to suffer.
I disagree, obviously is part of the character, and makes them interesting for a reason.
For Anton it was the fact he just believed in the chaos, that stuff just happen, and you can't do anything about it. John Doe believed he was doing the right thing, but at the same time he was a sinner, and he knew he was guilty, He tries to justify his actions, but at the same time he knows he is being hypocrite
JB Blanc is the best non-Tom Hardy voice Bane has ever hard.
After Knightfall DC fucked over Bane for the most part.
TDKR actually helped to get him back on track
DKR is a great movie. Honestly, I'd say its better than Batman Begins. People tend to ignore BB's flaws because its the most comic accurate and it's before TDK turned the series into a cultural phenomenon.
>I'm so happy Baneposting is pretty much dead and sheevposting has taken over. Maybe there's hope for /tv/.
We just got a sticky not so long meanwhile sheev gets nothing.
>im so proud of literally watching the same five minutes of a movie for four years now to the point that someone moving their neck is hilarious
Baneposters are sad, sad people. I miss when /L O S T/ dominated /tv/.
Crashing these panels, with no survivors.
If Injustice came with Alfred, or he was available as DLC, would you buy it? I imagine him as a rush=in type character with CQC/ boxing, and a bit of gunplay and butler shit thrown in. Feel free to suggest something better.
>Booster Gold and Blue Beetle
>Both are considered one character
>Plays similiar to Ice Climbers
>Super isnt some flashy attack, its hijinks resulting in destruction hurting the enemy player
>At the end Blue beetle laughs
>Super is a powerstance with parry frames
>Bag over their head and forced into a plane
>Shoots them and pushes them out
>They hit the floor with a sickening crunch
>CIA lands on them half a second later with the illest elbow drop
>t. alberto barbosa will be in comics within your life time
Smelly beaners need to stop trying to take any latinamerican character. Bane mask does not look like Lucha masks, closed mouth, nose, and eyes. Lucha masks with closed eyes are a really new novelty, bane, from the early 90's pre dates that.
