What's not to understand? Trickster is a nice guy who happens to be criminally insane and doesn't seem to realize the things he does and Flash knows him well enough that he can understand and reason with him.
>>
>>78753797
>The Joker would gladly go back to Arkham if only Batman asked nicely.
Why is Batman such an asshole?
>>
>>78754065
Trickster is just messed up in the head and Flash, unlike Batman, knows it. He realizes the people he's fighting are sick and need help rather than to get beat on nonstop. Basically, heroes like Batman and Wonder Woman do more harm than good by thinking pain is all their enemies understand. Wally's a good guy who's power HASN'T driven him insane.
>>
>>78754283
I'd agree if Arkham could get even a quarter of it's inmates to the level of Triskter.
>>
>>78754304
The problem is Arkham, and Gotham as a whole, is run by corrupt assholes who don't give a shit about the inmates. The fact that so many of Batman's rogues gallery are doctors is proof of this.
>>
>>78754224
We are talking about the |Flash and the Trickster, you numpty.
>>
>>78754283
So is Flash a better harbringer of peace than Wonder Woman who enjoys snapping necks?
>>
>>78754338
To be fair, I could actually see Joker doing that one time, just because it would be funny. Big heist, millions of dollars worth of...I don't know, jewel-encrusted something or others. Joker and his crew are almost finished filling up their clown cars with the loot when Batman shows up. Someone yells "IT'S THE BAT", there's fighting and when the dust settles, Batman and Joker stand face to face. You can cut the tension with a knife. Someone is going to be hurting in the morning, you can just tell.

"I don't suppose I could convince you to just go back to Arkham, could I?" Batman would say, fully intending to break more than a few of the Clown Prince's bones tonight.

A short pause later and Joke just shrugs, drops a comical number of guns out of his sleeves and pockets and says "Yeah, okay." before laughing his head off as he walks off in the direction of Arkham, knowing that Batman would be the most confused he's ever been by his actions, the look on his face being absolutely priceless.

I would read the shit out of that.
>>
>>78754348
Until they introduce snapping necks as the universal symbol of peace and prosperity, yes.

David Cain stayed in jail just to make Cass happy. He was shown to be able to just waltz out whenever he wants and probably could have turned the place into a blood bath.

But he stays in there just to please his baby girl only leaving to give her a birthday present and doesn't hurt anyone

Nah Flash's enemies are on a different level than the others.
Hell doesn't he foil the plot by beating the shit out of them? Doesn't Batman understand that's how Flash works in these dynamics and stops Orion from just going batshit on Trickster?

Trickster isn't Joker. Batman wouldn't win him over by promising to play safety darts every week.
>>
>>78754120
Nope.
>>
>>78754065
I figured it was to show that, unlike a lot of other heroes (coughbatmancough), flash's villains are on way better terms with him, to the point where he actually knows them pretty well and can deal with them without having to fight on occassion.
>>
>>78759045
Id say Batman knows his villans aswell. They just aren't that nice
>>
>>78760709
>>78759045
>>78756484
Batman can't do that with his villians because most of them are criminally insane, while trickster is more helplessly insane. The riddler is helplessly insane and batman can have a decent talk with him
>>
>>78754098
oh mark hamill, you creepy creepy bastard
>>
>>78761877
I thought Riddler was just a narcissist
>>
>>78761877
I'd say it's more that Trickster there is legally insane. He doesn't understand that the things he does are wrong. Unlike, say, Joker, who knows they're wrong and gets off on it.
>>
>>78754224
Due to the nature of the Joker, you know what. i think if he was asked like this he would do it because of how funny it would be. Now he would probably only do it once, but I still think he would do it.
>>
>>78754387
>"I don't suppose I could convince you to just go back to Arkham, could I?"
>OH BATSY YOU'RE SO FUNNY BUT YOU KNOW WE'RE DESTINED TO DO THIS FOREVER BECAUSE WE'RE OPPOSITES AND THERE MUST ALWAYS BE A JOKER I PUT A BOMB IN AN ORPHANAGE THIRTEEN HOURS AGO BY THE WAY YOU SHOULD GET OVER THERE AND TRY TO STOP IT UNLESS YOU DONT WANT TO IN WHICH CASE A BUNCH OF OPRHANS DIE THAT SHIT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME IN THESE BOOKS AND I'LL JUST GET OUT OF JAIL AGAIN ANYWAY UNPUNISHED HEY ALSO DID YOU KNOW THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A NORMAL MAN AND AN IMMORTAL PSYCHO CLOWN GOD IS ONE BAD DAY I DONT EVEN HAVE A GIRLFRIEND ANYMORE SHE GOT HER OWN BOOK AND DRESSES LIKE A HOOKER I'M GOING TO RIP OFF MY OWN FACE AND NOT TELL A JOKE NOW"

No, this is what would happen.

>>

I always preferred "career criminals"

Yeah guys like Joker may make for more striking contrasts to the hero but you can really only use them so many times before the question, "How is he alive" stops being a gag.

Guys like Rhino, Electro and Sandman may not be as complex but you can see why they can keep coming back after getting locked up.
>>
>>78764448

I feel like the "career criminals" aspect is one of the reasons Spider-Man and the Flash have two of the best rogues galleries in comics.

Yeah but when it's guys like Rhino or Sandman who are basically bullet proof it's all moot.

And once Spidey beats them and they get locked up they're looking at a yearly sentence not the electric chair.

Carnage aside his foes don't go on killing sprees so no matter how many times they rob a bank or science lab they're never ever ever gonna get the death penalty or even a life sentence

Best villains are villains who are genuinely nice guys who are thrown into shitty situations

Pic related, the best villain of Superman TAS and quite possibly one of the most underrated villains ever. He's just a big dumb lovable idiot who's manipulated by other villains at every turn. All Parasite wanted was a TV
>>
>>78766571
Actually no on all accounts. Cops don't have a kill on sight for anyone. Kill to defend themselves or citizens but not on sight. Also a casino wont risk a gun fight inside a casino because that would be worse for business then getting robbed. Casinos have a ton of security that you don't notice. Plus most big casinos have chips in there well chips that track them in the casino. They know what ones are stolen so trying to cash them in is next to impossible.
>>
>>78773599

And he got it. Too bad he fucked it up by teaming up with Livewire.

Super Criminals > Super Villains when it comes to street level.

It has been stated that Joker actually has a lot of money in somewhere.
There's abad comic where he is let out from arkham without a penny, so the first think he make is to easily rob a bank without using a gun ( just some picture of the manager daughter). And in the arkham games, he's able to fund some expensive investigation to create a drug derived from bane's venom.
My point is, he probably bribed the guys who declared him legally insane over and over
>>
>>78769236
I loved the fact that Lobo forced his way into the JL for no reason whatsoever.
>>
>>78777167
Well they had to stash the latest heist plans and throw some junk in giftbags for him. Then Flash stepped out for a few attoseconds to get them all something. Then they all sat around the fireplace reminiscing about great heists and laughing at how Flash spoiled their plans. About the time Flash and Captain Cold started doing impressions of Justice League members some yahoo started causing trouble and Flash had to go to work. Thankfully he made it home in time for drunken Christmas carols and made sure everyone got home safe. Pretty sure they'll invite him for real next year.
>>

That's Wally as the Flash, Barry is really dry in comparison.

Mark Waid's Flash run, starting at "Born to Run" is right where you want to start if you are going to give it a go. If you pick it up chances are you aren't going to put it down, I would read up to and including the "Return of Barry Allen" arc to be sure you gave it a good chance.
>>

Or Batman could just give the joker what he wants and put a stop to it.

>After a long chase, the Joker is cornered and fishes around in his pockets for a weapon.
>One of the many 'wrong items' he pulls out and throws to the ground is a simple whoopee cushion.
>immediately after it comes a comically heavy anchor.
>*phlbbbbbt*
>Batman Chuckles a bit
>Joker suddenly stops rummaging and looks up to Batman with a 'what the fuck!?!' look on his face
>batman is shuddering, biting his bottom lip with a tear rolling down his cheek
>Joker takes looks down at the cushion and gives it firm press with his foot
>*PLHBBBBTTT!!*
>Suddenly batman just erupts into laughter. Laughter that fills the rusted and moldy walls of Gotham's famous Abandoned Warehouse 836-Q
>He is just inconsolable. tears are rolling down his face and the constant laughter causes him to cough occasionally
>The Jokers quizzical look turns into a face full of rage.
>"Fart jokes?" He asks as the muscles in his face lock up and the veins in his head and neck bulge
>"AFTER ALL THESE YEARS AND THE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS OF PLANNING AND EVEN MORE OF BACK BREAKING LABOR, IT WAS FART JOKES THE WHOLE TIME!?!?"
>He waits, hoping for some type of answer from the still laughing Batman, who acts as if his mortal enemy isn't even there.
>The dumbfounded Joker drags his feet out of the warehouse and turns himself in at the gate of arkham asylum.
>He never smiles again, and every so often, the halls of arkham erupt with a shotr, simple phrase.
>"FAAAAART JOOOOOKES!?!?!"

They know that it's stupid to bring down the wrath of the heroes on them. It's better for business to stay under their radar. Cold's said this a few times, it's the premise of his rules.

I do think you should give Flash a chance, but sad to say >>78777939 is shitting you. There IS a story about Wally attending Captain Cold's party though, and it's lots of fun. I'll storytime it.

Yeah, but you mentioned he was more of a Jerkyl and Hyde situation, and I'm guessing that was his alter ego who apologized by turning her necklace into gold.
Kind of balances out, although I admit to only knowing about post-Waid Flash.

The stuff with the two Als is...complicated. Originally (and when these stories came out), Alvin was Albert's "astral twin", basically his double which shared good and evil. Much later, Alvin was retconned into a construct of the Philosopher's Stone, and seemingly Albert's alternate personality given physical form. But Alvin was crass and rude where Albert was polite and reserved.

Chunk has a pocket dimension inside him, and an unfortunate tendancy to accidentally absorb people. Here he'd actually released some of the people trapped inside his pocket dimension.

>>
>>78789232
It's a stretch for some of them, but Cold's gun reaches below absolute zero. No that doesn't make scientific sense (if you want to be slightly less ridiculous, just say it reaches absolute zero), but the guy can stop all thermal motion. I can see why he'd think highly of himself.

With Boomerang it made less sense in those days because he didn't have any powers, but eh. Guess he didn't want to leave out his pal.
>>
>>78789358
It's just dumb fun, I really like the rogues and I like the idea of them celebrating together. Also the mutual respect between them and Barry is always cool. Any more examples of villains sharing some drinks over times gone? Except for the Civil War stuff where the Punisher just murders 40 d tier villains at a bar

Yeah, he appeared in an issue of Johns' Flash. Plunder shot him to pierce his singularity and turned him into a black hole, but Wally and STAR Labs saved him.

have you ever read a comicbook?
>>
>>78766387
It's easy to do when you're serious about it - diet and exercise, fewer calories in, more calories out. But you have to commit. Most people complain that they can't lose weight because they're half-assing one or the other (or both).

Mark didn't really have a choice in the matter, if he wanted to be part of the sequels he had to lose the weight. He did so without complaint because he's a professional - Carrie Fisher, on the other hand...

Once I had the idea of making a book about a revolutionary new weight-loss plan. The ERE Diet. I would write a book and everything. The first page would say "Eat Right", and the second would say, "Exercise".

Rest of the pages are blank.
