When are they going to get reamed for fucking with Galactus when he's needed to eat worlds so the energy keeps abraxas sealed and the whole release in all at the end of the universe for a new big bang.
You'd think him going around and using that shit up would be slightly bad.

http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/ewings-ultimates-transform-galactus-travel-outside-the-known-marvel-universe

> I will say that I consider Abraxas, a cosmic bad 'un who popped up when Galactus died once, to be out of the equation -- when I re-read the end of that particular story on Marvel Unlimited, it looked like Franklin [Richards] had dealt with him on a fairly permanent basis.

>I've never been that sure about the "cosmic balance" anyway, if I'm honest. It feels like ants deciding there must be a very good reason for the anteater to drop by, if only they could figure out what it was.

I'm pretty sure Galactus himself said that he'd give back more then he has ever taken and he'd be the source of the next big bang.
I think Mr. Immortal was slated to be that universe's Galactus as well.

Interesting way of doing recaps, also interesting that they're making their activities public. Imagine news reports
>Welcome to Fact News
>Our top story today, Blue Marvel has anounced that the Ultimates have managed to finally end the threat posed by Galactus, the alien being whose tried to devour the Earth multiple times, and that the entity has now become a restorer of worlds
>We are now joined by Jonathan Storm aka the Human Torch, former member of the Fantastic Four whose faced Galactus several times, and our very own J Jonah Jameson, who to this day still insists that Galactus is a hoax, to discuss this momentous event and its ramifications

I agree with him. This is why I can't stand Beerus from Dragon Ball, especially since unlike Galactus he's a petty asshole who doesn't give a fuck

They sucked anyway. Last time they showed up, they tried to erase She-Hulk from existence, they've never done anything helpful.
Maybe Kang killed them all again.
>>
>>78733346
I can't see half of these changes actually making a lasting change into canon.

My guess is that the main theme of this book is probably going to be how the Ultimates are trying to solve problems that aren't really there, which in effect destabilizes reality and creates more problems than it solves.

I mean for fuck's sake how many times have they tried to hammer in the idea that Galactus isn't evil, but necessary?
>>
When did Galactus come back? I thought he got thrown into the negative zone in the ultimate universe.
>>
>>78732655
That would be true if it was only Galactus and not guys like Eternity and the Living Tribunal vouching for him. In other worlds Ewing is an idiot.

Glad someone pointed this out. I was about to do so, but it's nice to see someone else got it.

Warren Ellis created The Bleed for the benefit of Wildstorm's The Authority, which has since become folded into the cosmology of the DC multiverse. Even if he can't use it on himself, that sounds like he'd stand a fair chance if he wanted to volunteer his services. Hell I'd say he'd have the right to demand it since it's his device they're using, I assume he just took their word for it but, damn, still strikes me as unnecessarily cocky about themselves to write off a potential helping hand. That was fucking stupid. Why should he care what racist Americans think? Why should he do what JFK tells him to? He could just go to some other country where people would actually be grateful. Or keep saving people's lives regardless of opinions, like a real hero would.
What excuse did he have for not doing anything in the decades that followed?

Not him but she didn't beat a beyonder. Blue marvel's son did.
>>
>>78752381
The Beyond Corporation from Nextwave was revealed to be a group of Beyonders, the same type of extradimensional beings that caused the Incursions, except the Beyond Corporation just wanted to cause chaos

In Mighty Avengers one of these Beyonders was on 616 and was just generally fucking around with the team.

Blue Marvel, Monica and Spider-Man managed to banish him from 616
>>
>>78732182
That was 8 months ago in comic time.
>>
>>78756759
She held the Beyonder in place lon enought for Blue Marvel's son to take hI'm back to the Neutral Zone.

She held down a Beyonder with her bare hands. Thor, Hyperion, Starbrand, Nightmask, Abyss and a whole shit ton of Ex Nihili could only beat 2 between all of them. And most of them died in the process.

It wasn't at full power though, it was just a fraction of it in Quantrell's body, still a hell of a feat.
>>
>>78757133
The whole "there's only one version of this character/place/concept" falls apart when you start applying it in practice

Between What Ifs and diverging time lines and time travel it just doesn't work.

For example take Rachel Grey. There's supposedly only one of her in all of the Multiverse. But then there's all of the What If realities that she and the other X-men have been part of. Those What Ifs have the same history as 616 until the timelines diverge, so there's countless other realities with Rachels who have the exact same histories as the one living in 616 up until a certain point. Most of those realities probably got wiped out by the Incursions but still.

The same should go for America Chavez, Annihilus, Blaster, etc.

Ewing sure is a busy man these days
>>
I kinda feel like they may be over complicating wild space with all these other types. I am interested in seeing what it looks like after doom blew it up.
>>
>>78751378
Yup, Ewing knows how to keep a balance. The references he makes reward fans while at the same time not confusing new readers. If you're a new reader, you don't have to know who Two-Gun Kid is, who this new Giant-Man is or what a Doomlock is you might even think Ewing just made them up. The narrative doesn't require you to understand these references (like James Robinson stories kind of do) while still making it clear that this is a shared universe and making readers curious for more.
The contrast between Ewing and Bendis' stances on continuity is interesting.
>>
>>78753380

Monica is basically unkillable.

Carol is a flying brick who eats up energy.

America Chavez is basically indestrtuctible.

And they have black Superman and black Batman.
>>
>>78754684

X-men still sells comics and Hickman has a boner for the Fantastic Four.

It's more likely that Marvel editorial doesn't want to have the classic teams show up or have their own books.
>>
>>78757698
>you might even think Ewing just made them u
Something that I've noticed in his Ultimates storytimes, and some of his NA storytimes, is a flood of people who keep acting like Ewing is just making everything up and the book is nothing but retcons while citing incorrect info they heard third hand from someone that read a wiki once as the true canon that he's dephyling.

It's funny to see these anons who have a significantly shittier grasp on marvel canon than Ewing, and might not even read comics in the first place, speaking around shit like "RETCON."

Headcanon is a helluva drug.
>>
>>78756824
Technically, Ant-man Annual happened after Rage of Ultron, which happened at some point during the 8 month timeskip, so he could have become Giant-man at any point between SW and this.
>>
>>78757698
>The contrast between Ewing and Bendis' stances on continuity is interesting.
If Ultimates were a Bendis comic, he'd constantly have the characters talking about how puny humans like them are in over their heads dealing with forces far above them, lamenting how the Earth is now suddenly dealing with crap they're "not ready" for and have no experience with, even with decades of continuity say otherwise
>>
>>78757908
>Technically, Ant-man Annual happened after Rage of Ultron, which happened at some point during the 8 month timeskip, so he could have become Giant-man at any point between SW and this.

Yeah, this is basically Nu52 tier "EVERYTHING HAPPENED BUT NO ONE KNOWS HOW" type of continuity. It's not like anyone cares anymore, either.
>>

Only teams I remember coming close was annihilators and teams with crazy Wanda/Sentry.
>>
>>78756675
He viewed himself as American because he was born and raised here. Unlike superman he doesn't have that whole child of the world thing going.

He also realized he couldn't just ignore what was going on by his outing because it was pissing off Blacks and scaring Whites. And to an extent he is correct, had he kept going we'd probably have ended up with the US gov having whole teams dedicated to stopping him which would have jump started the anti mutant/superhuman programs and fucked over future groups like the X-men or even the avengers.

My personal problem with all of this is that you don't fucking forget a guy with the powers of superman who has saved the planet from god damn asteroids in a 40 year period. Thats like forgetting the existence of the nuclear bomb just because we haven't nuked anyone in over 50 years.

At least sentry bullshit had comic magic.

Then why not use the stones to clean up that mess? Unless my understanding is whacked or the stone's rules have changed (probably both) then they can do anything and everything within their native universe.

Unless you're saying limits and reasons change as the lore continues to evolve.

Because Thanos, who had been trying to prevent Galactus from using the gems, destroyed the device that big G had the gems in which scattered them across the universe. The Hunger had to be dealt with at that moment, no time to reassemble the gems.

How long until Ewing brings back the seventh infinity gem, the ego gem, and Nemesis with it for this team to deal with?

A better question to ask about Galactus.
Why doesn't he let his Heralds give the planets a heads up in advance so they'll have time to evacuate? Sure not, every planet has spaceships, but those that do could at least get most of the people off.

He does. In fact thats what Silver Surfer did prior to leaving the Big G the first time.

How the planets are treated is really up to the Heralds. Star Dust considers it a blessing for each new planet to be consumed while Morg would just slaughter everyone.
