Gay Batman continues
Freedom Beast is our returning super-obscure DC character of the week
Is this b8? I refuse to believe people are this socially retarded that they can't believe a gay dude can be friendly with a woman without wanting to fuck her.
That's like saying every straight guy who interacts with a straight guy in a friendly way is actually gay.
>That's like saying every straight guy who interacts with a straight guy in a friendly way is actually gay.
Well DC made Dick be gay by having him interact with a gay guy in a way that wasn't him being disgusted by Middy, so yeah.
>not "please read this book"
>spends the first five issues butt fucking a villain
If you're going to pretend to read comics at least read the synopsis
That's degenerate. Only loving sex in the missionary position with your husband counts.
When he's not doing that, he's straight. He also says no homo before ravaging stranger asses, just to be sure.
Apollo/Midnighter shipperfag tears over this book are delicious.
I like the couple too, but some of these shippers are just retarded. Abloo bloo bloo, worst comic book ever because it's not with muh ship.
>she has the right idea
Maybe you should fuck off to tumblr then and cry about it together.
That person wants her OTP together.
And using some accepted rhetoric there (e.g. straight washing) is one way to try and sway people and make them sufficiently angry, along with posting out of context panels or not posting any panels at all.
The same thing happens there with Grayson and happens on /co/ a lot
It's true, though. It seems very suspicious that they broke off the pairing when Middy began getting more exposure.
Then again, everyone was made single except for Superman/Wondermoan, so it's not strictly because he's gay
>when Middy began getting more exposure
Literally when? If anything, he began getting more exposure AFTER this book.
Steve Orlando said a lot of times in interviews that he doesn't like how gay characters in comics are usually seen as just another half of a pairing, like Midnighter/Apollo or Hulkling/Wiccan. He likes these characters as individuals and wanted to make a solo Midnighter book to flesh him out outside of his relationship. No big DC conspiracy behind it, just a writer who had a specific vision for the book he got.
