This is sad. I'm more hyped for this immature sloppy comic than I am my very favorite one, ErfWorld. I feel like ErfWorld's latest update was a huge cop-out and stupid, despite normally thinking it's genius.
I guess maybe it's about expectations and setting the bar high/low.

I love how Allison has a similar expressed emotion to that of Pasquallo {because their heads are tied together}, except in the panel where Bill is wringing his neck. Fucking beautiful. It's pottery.

Yeah, I'd totally forgotten about that. Her current design is definitely qt3.14159 but the older version is almost an entirely different character.

Maybe since she was made for Pasqualo, when she showed up she was half-japanese since he's such a goddamn weaboo. But then as they spent more time together she came to resemble him (and the other kids) more as she developed into her own person.

So what's your method of comic making, gob? Did you draw the characters a lot to get the designs down? Write ahead of time? Storyboard or anything like that?

It's pretty chaotic. I do a lot of planning when I'm daydreaming at work. Also a lot when I'm driving to work listening to music. I'll think up plot ideas and scenes and just general imagery. I'll plan general outlines for story arcs I want to happen and then I'll just draw.

A lot of "how things happen" I come up with on the spot unless my buddy Josef chimes in with a specific idea. I'll start with blank panels and draw some characters doing stuff. It's hard to explain. Like, each comic is a mix of improv and planning ahead of time.

As for character designs, I practice a little bit. Before I started this series I did a lot of sketching in various notebooks. I drew lots of Pasqualo and Ally and Aurora. Though over time when various characters' personalities develop, their character design sometimes changes a bit to fit what their attitude is like.

As of late, I've been really just concentrating on doing things I feel are fun.

I dunno; I'm an ass. I wouldn't really consider myself a good person to get advice from haha.

Well I definitely think he's improving, but more as a result of drawing the comic rather than conscious effort - his experiments with shading techniques seem to have turned out pretty well, and the Jennifer goes to hell part was really well done.
