There's a fuckton of good tex mex in San Antonio, it's just almost everything on the riverwalk isn't good. But that's how most every city is, the areas everyone wants to go to is full of tourist traps. El Mirador is the only good tex mex restaurant I know of that's downtown. Every time I visit my family down there, there's a new restaurant they've found that's awesome. Also the barbecue is pretty good too.
