So Faraci is saying that big leak was BS, and that this review closely follows the story beats of the script he read.
The Long and Short of it
Ma Kent is kidnapped.
No Justice League.
Flash is a blur and nothing more.
Aquaman only a few scenes.
Two BvS fights.
There are drones that the Trinity fight.
Kryptonite Laser kills Doomsday
>The final boss is a few drones
I hate this leak because I don't want it to be true. I would settle for ANYTHING else. Doomsday, Bizarro, Parademons, Darkseid, etc. It doesn't fit tonally; this movie is bringing three gods together on the screen for the first time but their final boss is a modern human "threat"
>Ma Kent kidnapped
How convenient. I'm already hating this movie
We're this close to seeing the movie and people still doubt Snyder on his visuals? If there's anything Snyder can do right it's the visuals. Who else can compare? Everything he films can be used as a fucking wallpaper. Snyder knows his things, doomsday will grow bigger and have his spikes come out.
Too bad. That other leak is waaaaaaaay better!
Forgive me but I thought that there wasn't going to be any screenings for this movie until the release. I haven't been in any of the recent leak threads but I didn't Zack say that anything about a screening is most likely BS?
Faraci read the script, but continuous hating the movie before the release. This movie will suck, guys
That's what I read. The only screenings were for execs and other people who work for WB. Matt Damon said Affleck has seen it and is very pleased with it. Remember though that some people will get to see it a week early if they went to that IMAX thing to see the first teaser.
>Birth Movies Death
Which of these is more DC hate?
Faraci also loves every MCU movie, hated Daredevil, loved Fantfourstic, and gives positive reviews to every film one of his friends' make. He's a beer with Snyder away from thinking BvS will be god's gift to man.
Faraci Also bitched & moaned about the white washing of Exodus, while simultaneously taking the time to snicker & sneer at people upset about bitching about GiTS getting white washed. Faraci would walk in a minefield just to be a step ahead of the contrarian curb.
>Barbara is there
>there are two BvS fights
>and Doomsday will grow some spikes
>The flash is just a blur
>Affleck, and Gadot are great though
>Eiusenberg is such a good actor in this. Very comedic in public but damn so dark in private
>Over all the movie will totally be worth the money you will be paying
>And the movie as a whole is excellent. Not rushed, not vague, every detail is well explained and every character play vital roles
Seriously? I'm glad that the JL bullshit thing is lie. This movie already have too many things happening. JL fighting against Luthor's drones sounds too much Age of Ultron boring stuff.
"From the man who gave a positive review to Fantastic Four"
He screencapped a thread of people shit talking him once. The guy paradoxically blocks everyone who badmouths him to protect his ego, and searches for anything critical of him to fuel the fire of his drunken rage. The way he treats screenwriters and fellow critics on twitter pretty much reveals him to be a deeply insecure, stuck in high school, rage case nerd. I think someone nailed it when they called him the "Gen X Jeff Wells"
>giving a shit about Devin "ISIS is the best" Faraci
Not only is he retarded, but he's a giant pussy. Ironic since his sites has badass in it.
>mfw all these leaks turn out o be fake and we won't know the gist of the movie until a week before it releases just like Man of Steel
>mfw movie still sucks balls
This is close to one of the earliest versions of the "leaked scripts", so it's probably pretty close to true even if they touch it up and alter it a bit. It's also the slimmest and more streamlined versions out there, so I'm inclined to believe it more than others.
I'll give Faracai credit for being one of the few to say Star Wars was bad to just okay and is largely rehashed. Meanwhile most of his contemporaries are creaming themselves and sucking off Disney.
A clone made from Kryptonian DNA, created to fight superman, and has a bunch of powers based on his, but suffers an unfortunate mutation due to human technology not being up to snuff at cloning aliens....
That is totally Doomsday!
Seriously though, it looks like we are getting Doomsday with Bizarro's origin.
Does it really matter if Daredevil premiers at the same time as BvS? People with Netflix who want to see BvS hardcore will watch it first on the first day/weekend then go home and watch Netflix. People who don't will probably watch Netflix first then go watch BvS the next day or when it's convenient for them. A free 10-hour show isn't going to affect the movie's take. It just invites comparison between the two and even then Daredevil is running the risk of getting drown out since every media outlet is going to want to talk about BvS for clicks.
Oh no! I'll have to choose between a series that'll premier on a internet streaming service or a 2 hour movie that premiers in the theater! Oh what am I to do!
Didn't he also say that Netflix Daredevil was shit because it was too dark and not as quippy as the MCU?
And didn't he say that every critic hated the show then when asked for proof got angry?
/co/ took that as absolute fact and used it to fuel their hate for months before the movie came it was ridiculous. Not that it was necessary, because there was other stuff to dislike.
>Affleck, and Gadot are great though, all those people bitching about their casting are about eat some poop
I get the whole 'friendly competition' thing but Marvel's writers/actors get so insufferable about Marvel's success. The only notable shot I remember from WB/DC's thing was Momoa's 'Fuck Marvel' thing he wrote on a poster.
>The only notable shot I remember from WB/DC's thing was Momoa's 'Fuck Marvel' thing he wrote on a poster.
& even then he was asked to write that. He didn't do that shit on his own. RDJ even took a shot at DC during TDK's premier.
Disney/Marvel are kind of being dicks, they chose to release Civil War on the same day BvS was scheduled to come out.
Guys, you have the largest grossing franchise in history, there is no need to squash the competition.
Also Disney also did some shit involving that Tarantino movie
>Hemsworth made a joke not even specifically directed at DC.
>Sebastian Stan fired back at Snyder's passive-aggressive comments.
>Anthony Mackie made a joke once about Captain America and Falcon beating up Superman and Batman.
That's pretty much it. The only one that ever truly flung shit at DC was RDJ.
Marvel had the date first. DC chose it because they thought they'd be opening against "Doctor Strange" and would crush it, and had to back off when it turned out to be "Civil War", that could actually crush them.
It was just an untitled Captain America movie at the time. BvS was originally supposed to come out in 2015, but they didn't want it to compete with Star Wars, so they moved it way back, then moved it to a spot with 0 competition.
>BvS was originally supposed to come out in 2015, but they didn't want it to compete with Star Wars
Now you're just making shit up. BvS was going to come out in July. Star Wars came out in December. How would the two have them have competed?
>had to back off when it turned out to be "Civil War", that could actually crush them.
Or, you know, DC/WB saw a spot they could put their movie where there wasn't anything to contest them for a few weeks rather than join in on a busy summer schedule. DC/WB did a fantastic job of scheduling movies this year. BvS moved to an unclaimed spot where they can ride an open schedule for weeks, like Star Wars. SS has a great window in August and are unopposed for a few weeks as the last summer blockbuster. Nobody is going to move beside or after them and they're going to have a really good year. You want to see shit planning, look where Fox's movies are.
Which is what I just said. What are you even trying to say?
>WB announces BvS to come out July 17 2015
>Moves to May 6 2016
>Marvel announces Captain America 3 to come out May 6 2016
>WB moves BvS to March 25 2016
At no point in time was BvS ever going to compete against Star Wars. They were never even going to open in the same season.
They could have moved it to late 2015, but it would have been competing with the likes of Star Wars, so they just decided to wait it out. May 2016 would have just been way too long since the movie would have been finished for over 6 months at the point.
This is a bit incorrect. BvS could have come out at 2015, but it would have left the franchise unsupported and they wanted to make sure to get it right. As a result, WB had a down year since 2015 had no franchises to lean on and potential blockbusters like Pan and Jupiter Ascending fell through. 2016 is looking great for them though, since BvS and SS are starting up their DC and the new Harry Potter spinoff is starting up in the fall.
They didn't want to release the movie in the Summer because it's a clusterfuck, They didn't want to release in the winter because of Star Wars. March is the perfect date, it's after the Star Wars & before the Summer hell.
>Devin "Gamergate is ISIS incarnate" Faraci
Jesus Christ /co/mblr stop being so fucking obvious
>Anthony Mackie made a joke once about Captain America and Falcon beating up Superman and Batman
& he got beat up by a ant man.
>yfw Snyder goes full Superfag and makes Batman job hilariously
>yfw the movie suffers because the Batfags didn't get what they wanted
There's no way BvS is going to beat this.
It's over. DC is finished.
Faraci is a smug asshole, who always starts his statement's like he's martin luther and knows better than everyone else, but he is right in that daredevil has to do nothing to win. It just has more time to develop characters and to stay in people's minds, especially after BvS having no real surprises in it anymore after the trailer.
That said I hope he catches diabetes from moviebob.
That's actually a strangely complex question. There was a rumor a while back saying BvS cost $410mil to make, which is really, really high. However, it's unverified and we don't know if that figure includes advertising. Figure advertising is ~$150mil, then the budget is ~$260mil, which around the normal range for both figures for blockbusters. SS, for instance, is rumored to be ~$250mil budget as well.
Even if it was $410mil just to make the movie, that's a really good number considering it basically produces significant concept and costume work for five movies (BvS, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and both Justice Leagues). The new Wonder Woman film, for instance, looks like it's using the same costume elements, logo and probably background work to establish a coherent brand. Wonder Woman is rumored at $190mil, which is lower and a good number. Same will likely be the case for Aquaman.
The cost for making BvS is pretty much spread out to make the base concepts and costumes for the entire universe. It's kind of like how the Hobbit cost $600mil to make, but it's spread between three movies. So, the real answer is that nobody knows except WB. And nobody cares because everyone knows it'll make more than enough and more importantly does the job of setting up a new franchise for WB, which it's needed since the Dark Knight, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings franchises are finished now. It's just a matter of how high it can go.
>SS, for instance, is rumored to be ~$250mil
I find that really hard to believe, given that it doesn't seem to be anywhere near as special effects heavy as BvS.
>Wonder Woman is rumored at $190mil, which is lower and a good number
Where are these figures coming from?
>I find that really hard to believe, given that it doesn't seem to be anywhere near as special effects heavy as BvS.
Keep in mind, the only trailer we've seen so far is the one from Comic Con. It's long, but it's more of a teaser since they spliced the footage together while they were still in the middle of filming.
We haven't seen any special effects yet because none were really done save for minor stuff like Batman's cape while he's hanging on Joker's car. We haven't seen a lot and there's all sorts of rumored items, like King Shark making a cameo in Belle Reeve, Enchantress' magic and her transorming ARGUS soldiers into literal arguses. We'll get a better feel once the first full trailer comes out in a few weeks.
>Where are these figures coming from?
The $190mil was a really early rumor. Just looked it up and supposedly they have up to $300mil to play with now:
Which is interesting and makes me wonder exactly how epic they're going to go with Wonder Woman and her movie reportedly featuring all sorts of gods and monsters.
The source on the budget on that Wikipedia page links to an article that makes no mention of Suicide Squad's budget at all.
Enchantress is probably the only thing in the movie that really has intensive SFX; they're going with more practical effects for Killer Croc and they're building those monster models instead of just green-screening the whole thing. Those big effects aren't really Ayer's style at all.
