Neo is the best Smug you could ask for, She's adorable as fuck, has no voice to ruin her character, is a total mystery increasing your desire too see more of her and when you do she's usually in a different cute outfit.
She beat the crap out of Yang easily, Shes best boy Roman's side kick. lots to love.
Just the sight of Nurse Neo makes me feel better.
>Cause I project myself as Jaune,
A lot of people do, and possibly not just for the sake of shitposting like Octavian, and I have to ask how and why?
Because Jaune isn't even Mile's self insert. He's the guy Miles wanted to be in High School. So even though the personality is shit he has a personality of his own, and that personality is something everyone who self inserts as Jaune seems to ignore.
For one thing aside from that stupid as shit bullying sequence Jaune has demonstrated on several occasions that he has big clanking brass balls for someone with no superpowers. And while he might be a fuckwit, he's not nearly as awkward as people think he is or portray him as in fanfiction wankery.
The guy goes after shit he wants instead of wondering why the girls don't come after him. He wanted to be a hunter so he forged some transcripts uprooted himself from everything he ever knew and moved to a strange land. He wanted Weiss and pursued her.
I mean the reason he's not banging Pyrrha isn't because he's too scared to pursue because shes Pyrrha Champion, celebrity and above all else. It's because she's Pyrrha Nikos his friend and partner.
So are people just ignoring all of that or do they just not watch the show?
I mean he's basically a proto Ryan.
Pfft, alright, he says.
We're also the one stop shop for any crack ship
We have some pretty dank photoshop edits
The idea that Pyrrha screwed herself by trying to be more down to earth and not a celebrity makes me laugh.
It's good suffering.
But honestly people don't care about the character's personality. Just what they have.
Our refined, intellectual culture. All of the other parts of the fandom either want to be us, or haven't yet realised that they want to be us.
Good old Mcnig
TFW you will never tactically operate with a man like McNig that loves his raifu more than 3DPD.
Feels bad man
I'll stick with the Confederacy of Independent Penny's
I ate some coneys from where I used to work.
This is RT we are talking about
Put 2 and 2 together
Isn't that part of the problem?
Not so much that he's intimidated by HER being the champion, but more intimidated by the potential guy that he thinks would fawn over her?
JNPR probably not, given how they seem to talk in the past. In fact, I'd wager based on a lot of RT's attitude, any paid DLC to come out would probably be well after development is "completed". But eventually the game is going to come out of Early Access and probably cost more money once it has more content.
Where they'll probably get you is like, 99 cent costume packs.
I've been thinking, it sorta be argued that Roman Neo, Mercury and Emerald all have quite similar base personalities. They're all openly immoral, smug and enjoy beating up heroes or innocents.
Yet that doesn't seem to hinder the quality of the villains side, even though it feels like it should just a bit? They all feel like they have enough elements that set them apart and their own good moments, and that makes up for the similarities.
I dunno, I feel like there's a lack of depth/variation in characterisation on the villains side, yet that doesn't seem to hold them back from being some of the best characters. Anyone else understand this feel?
Why, that's even better.
Damn, I really want a segment where they fight side by side. Or even just them having a scene together. I imagine they play off of each other hilariously.
>Not so much that he's intimidated by HER being the champion, but more intimidated by the potential guy that he thinks would fawn over her?
I never got that feeling. More that he just didn't think of her that way because she was his friend. And pretty much the only reason he might actually become a hunter one day.
The tricky bit here is that you know for a fact that Miles and Kerry were being inconsistent as hell on this and probably don't have the answer themselves.
But seeing as he was perfectly willing to pursue Weiss Schnee an heiress it's probably not the question of competition.
It's probably because they have minimal explained character development, but the crew knows shit about the characters we don't.
Like, to us, they all display similar traits, but the people making the show know how they differ (probably) and that can go into the work and the performance. It makes them feel a little bit more different than they should based on what we have.
Anon a hero is the character we are supposed to route for.
The villain is the one we want to route for,
Seriously, the villains here are far more carismatic and compotent over the hero and her team that you can't help it.
That would be great they seemed really buddy buddy during the rally Blake so rudely interrupted.
I think it's the fact that outside of Neo they all fucking hate eachother.
Throw in the different little somatic gestures and fighting styles and there's more than enough variance to keep things interesting.
I worded that wrong, I meant it more as in he figured there'd be so many guys trying to get with her that she'd have no reason to choose him, where as in his mind he sees through the Ice Queen facade that scares off so many from Weiss.
>he figured there'd be so many guys trying to get with her that she'd have no reason to choose him,
I still never got that feeling.
It seemed like it was more "This is Pyrrha, people are going to be lining up to ask her out so she's going to be fine if I ignore her in the run up to the dance."
It's a bit inconsiderate of him, but probably genuinely him thinking she'd be set.
From what I figure Roman is partly likeable because he asked Cinder what the shit she's actually trying to accomplish and she didn't tell him (and was of course all coy and meezterrius about it) and we can very much relate to that frustration.
Plus he's never actually won a fight, right? The odds are almost always stacked against the poor fella. Free Roman.
My point is that they don't feel like they're held back by having relatively similar personalities, which in theory would mean a narrower range of appeal. Whereas the good guys have quite a wide spectrum of personality.
I feel like we're getting some significant character development now. We saw that Emerald actually does have a personal loyalty/affection for Cinder (and how it came to be), and that Merc has a pretty dark past.
But yeah, I think there's more to many characters than what we've seen, probably due to time constraints. But hopefully we'll keep getting revelations like we got with Merc/Em this ep.
Yeah, now we're building up to real characterization besides Emerald is smug bug who +Cinder but -Merc and Merc is Smug Boot who kicks people. I do think I also might prefer a flashback collection to our previous backstory dump methodology "let's tell you a story over some cool 2d pictures".
>probably due to time constraints
Oh, definitely. Like, there's a whole thing with Ren and Nora they were gonna hit in Vol 2, but had to cut out, and probably won't get in in Vol 3. We learned a lot of rough lessons in pacing from Vol 1.
If the villain is some asshole that does it because he likes it I can say I never roote for them.
Like Terumi from BlazBlue, I admit he has a certain kind of predatory charm but I don't like him.
But villains that are doing what they do because they believe it's the right thing I can't help but respect.
I'll roote for them if they have basic honor and can be human.
Duke from Tales of Vesperia is one but isn't the definitive example.
Villains that are like that because they got fucked over by some cosmic enitity or because the stars shifted are just victims.
They lash out at the world and I can't really call them villains.
I can route for them but they're villains in name only.
It's because they all have their own individual take on that personality
Roman is snarky and has a comeback for everything, but never really loses his classy side
Neo is playfully child-like, and her lack of a speaking role makes her unique
Mercury is cynical and sarcastic, and though he gets the job done, doesn't really take anything seriously
Emerald is a straight arrow, all business and kind of crabby, but loyal as a dog to Cinder
Same base personality, but they've branched off in unique ways, like pizzas with different toppings
You see the thing is although Jaune is the guy we're all told is the self insert character it's actually Pyrrha.
She's incredibly skilled, incredibly popular, has no personality beyond being a doormat and will get the man because he's going to eventually come to her.
Yeah, this is also Pyrrha's problem. She's too nice for her own good (hence Nora's "practice what you preach"). Jaune clearly wants to ask Weiss, so Pyrrha butts out, even after a couple rejections and Jaune deciding not to challenge the frozen ocean. But Pyrrha has to be stoic or one of those many classical Greek-ish traits and doesn't say shit.
She should try being like "Yo, Jaune, want to hang out in a non-platonic, non-philia, possibly eros way?". But now she's going to become PyrrhAmber so who knows what will happen.
Huh, yeah. That actually makes sense to me. Thanks, anon.
Just hope they keep up their quality. For me, the villains are the most consistently entertaining characters in this. Most times they're onscreen, we get a laugh, or a cool fight or plot advancement.
I agree, which might be part of why I enjoy Qrow a lot, and why I liked Sun a lot more when he was morally dubious and not just a regular dude. These writers are apparently better at making "bad" guys than "good" guys.
>Amber falls for Jaune as well
>Jaune has a retardedly strong semblance
>Adam backstabs Cinder
>Cinder isn't the source of the keikaku, nor is her boss
More than one of these shits will happen.
The first three are likely correct.
Cinder herself is the Queen, who is the King?
Whoever the King is, they've probably fucking won.
But if he's had to move the queen things likely went wrong before,
Let's see if I can make this not suck:
>"Who thought this was a good idea?" you think.
>"'We will just take one person from each team and make new ones! That will teach them teamwork and shit!'
>Because that won't cause any problems at all."
>Right now you are trapped in a cabin halfway up one of Vale's tallest mountains, with an unexpected snowstorm raging outside.
>You have tried to call for help, but the storm makes it impossible for your scrolls to get a signal.
>With you are the other three members of your temporary team: Weiss Schnee, Velvet Scarlatina, and
>Cardin Winchester. And as if that wasn't bad enough, has Ozpin also chosen him as your leader.
>If it had been the Schnee, fine. But why Cardin?
>That idiot can't even read a map.
>Velvet is the only one that doesn't piss you off.
>Weiss constantly belittles all of you, and Cardin focuses more on bullying the young faunus than making sure you actually arrive at your destination.
>Which is why you are trapped here in the first place.
>You try to ignore the argument Cardin and the heiress are having as you lie in your sleeping bag, both eyes closed and trying to fall asleep.
>"This would not have happened if I were the leader!" Weiss says.
>"Oh yeah? Well too bad Ozpin chose ME!" Cardin shoots back.
>"He only chose you because he couldn't come up with a better team name than 'WAVeS'! Which is a stupid name anyway!"
>Suddenly Velvet chimes in:
>"Guys maybe you should try to lower the volume a bit. I think Anon is trying to sleep."
>"No one asked you." Cardin hisses, causing Velvet to look down.
>That's it. You sit up and look over to them:
"Can't you just shut up for one second and leave her alone, Winchester? You are REALLY starting to piss me off.
>Weiss gives him a smug smile.
"You too, Ice Queen. Besides, Velvet is right. I am trying to sleep, and you should too. Arguing won't make the storm stop any sooner."
The one in the picture is the King.
It doesnt matter if it makes sene or not.
It doesnt matter if its from other series.
It doesnt matter if tis from other media.
It doesnt matter if its from other genre.
Just accept it.
It's more a case of she feels like she doesn't have a chance with him given how dead-set he is initially on weiss.
I mean lets be honest here. If you had a close friend who was crushing really really hard on another person but you still had feelings for that friend, would you honestly step in the middle of their attempts at wooing the other person and say HEY PICK ME INSTEAD! ? Especially given how little they've communicated to each other about their feelings for each other?
I have yet to see some glorious Cindass in this thread.
I don't know how old the anon that drew it is.
Falling in love with when they walk into town.
despair amber is best amber but stasis amber fits better with the situation room. especially when you imagine all the times ironwood must have used her body for sexual gratification with "trying out aura-transplanting techniques" as his excuse
This Femtune bullshit is starting to grow on me goddamn it
Because it`s drawn by a retard that keeps doing requests for like three people in this general, who could fap to literally anything. So he keeps coming back, thinking that he`s worth shit.
Next you'll like regular Neptune in a dress and then it's all over anon, you like Neptune.
I'll put the other two in if you guys want it.
we've been over this one idea before but, because of the length of the episodes/seasons and the size of the cast, there's not enough room to develop the characters AND the plot AND the setting/worldbuilding. trying to do them all is going to underserve each one.
so just make a webcomic sorta deal or maybe put the 2D animation team on a project where they make shorts, and the subject material covers all those side characters that need fleshing out. fun stuff that happens behind the scenes, like how may handles her gay feelings in a team with 3 guys, or what team CFVY does in their free time.
that way we could just focus on the main story during the episodes and the rest is just supplementary canon material.
What would /co/ do? Give all of the female characters huge boobs and kill off any characters they don't like, I suppose.
Luckily, I'm not as demented as that. I would only do the first one.
If any given fighter ranged between anything other than "can't take a hit" and "can tank the world.
A lot of the fights this season have been like that, the losers goes down in one or two hits and the winners don't seem like they put too much effort into it.
Oh wow. A Side Stories webcomic would actually be perfect and easiest thing they could do to alleviate a lot of their problems. At the very least it'd give us more content. I'm pretty sure that no one would mind it if it was in the RTAA style and that'd just be mostly copy pasting existing images
>What would /co/ do? Give all of the female characters huge boobs
Okay I chuckled.
On the other side, you have Gavin.
Maybe I'm a bit elitist, but I cringed when he expressed surprised that comic books are still made in the present day. And that the Hulk would fuck She-hulk.
>Jaune and Neptune have been raped and killed
>Beacon is now a school for lewd, every class is taught (kek) by Glynda
>All Grimm now have tentacles and rape/eat people
>Yang, Neo, and Blake are in a love triangle.
>Merc still did nothing wrong
>de Stories webcom
I Really like this. If it were a webcomic I feel like minor characters could still play out a story in the background, see pic related for what I'm talking about. Although they do it as a joke.
>They begrudgingly agree and grab their sleeping bags, making sure to keep as much distance between them as possible.
>Before going to sleep herself, Velvet comes over to you and whispers: "Thank you"
>You turn around and look at her.
"You don't have to. They have been annoying me the whole day anyway. Cardin especially."
>"Yeah, he is a total prick."
"That's a nice way of putting it. I swear, if he doesn't stop acting like a total asshat, I will throw him off this forsaken chunk of rock."
>This time Velvet is the one that laughs. The two of you continue to chat for a while.
>She tells you that Cardin has been bullying her all year, and that she doesn't want to tell her team because she's afraid of what they would do to Cardin and his friends.
>Understandable. Coco can be pretty scary. And so can Fox. Not to mention Yatsuhashi. That dude swings his greatsword like it's a fucking toothpick.
>"Didn't you say you want to sleep?" You hear Weiss say.
>"Sorry." Velvet answers.
>She grabs her stuff and lies down a few feet next to you.
>You close your eyes and begin to drift away.
>You can't seem to get Velvet out of your head.
>She is actually kinda cute. Seems a bit shy though. Probably because of the constant bullying.
>The latest reason was her hair. Part of her rabbit-faunus heritage was the changing of her hair colour.
>During the winter, it goes from a hazelnut brown to snow white. It looks pretty nice, if you are honest.
>Her ears are cute too. The way she folds them to protect them from the cold winds. Or how they twitch when something grabs her attention.
>Wait, why are you thinking this?
>You try to get those thoughts out of your head and after a while you finally fall asleep.
>A few hours later you wake up to Weiss and Cardin yelling at each other.
>"ARE YOU INSANE? YOU JUST LET HER RUN AWAY?!" Weiss exclaims.
>"It's not my fault she is such a crybaby! I'm sure she will be fine."
The manga is supposed to be a self-contained story. Certain things that M&K have given the go-ahead for will be put into canon. Overall the manga is not canon and exists mainly to advertise RWBY in Japan. In the end the manga will be far better than the show but will end after three volumes or so. The above is really just me bullshitting but I wouldn't be surpised if it was true.
>hair color changing
And I'm hooked.
I dunno. Chapter 1 was quite good for an intro chapter but, to me, Chapter 2 really felt too much like Shirow's own take on Ruby. Doesn't help that he's already created an inconsistency with the show, having Ruby starting to do the rose petal thing only after arriving at Beacon.
I'd want a RWBY comic series to be tightly in line with the show, and I'm not sure the manga is going to do that.
man, if some of you are sponsors it would be cool if you made a thread on RT's website with this idea, or at least try to reach out to miles about it, seeing as he is the person in charge of the animation department.
maybe /co/ can get some shit done this year.
I honestly want this to be a little cooler, when is the manga set anyway? Do we have a timeline for this?
How long till you think the manga begins making pushes toward the lesbian ships?
Or begins to make hints toward Lancaster being a thing?
That's what I want to happen. But if she does get what's left of Amber's power, I don't think a maiden fight would happen until a later volume.
Pyrrha with her own semblance+ maiden powers sounds like Magneto and Storm's love child, though.
There we go all 3, I'm going to keep tinkering with it though.
well as long as it's all canon material for characters that still supposedly interact with the main cast, then you could easily assume that the episodes could make some references to things that were established in the side comics. like, in a way where it doesn't impact the plot, but for the guys who do a double-take and go "wait what the hell? why is ozpin's mug completely different?" they'll ask or seach around and find the webcomic, where they discover a little story, something like this:
>qrow accidentally vaporized ozpin's mug or something during one of his drunken moments during their illuminati meetings
>since glynda had nothing left of it to repair, she was sent to go shopping all day all over vale (much to her chagrin) to find a replacement mug that met Ozpin's strangely high standards
>she runs into Oobleck though who drags her against her will to do some errands
>"absolutely astounding! with two of us we can finish twice as quickly! this is quite efficient, marvelous!"
>when they're in a dusty antique shop, she happens to find an old mug that doesn't fit what Ozpin asked for
>it's the end of the day and she hasn't found anything else to bring back to ozpin, and this one is cheap anyways, just like ozpin's typical allotment for budgeting in school matters
>she gives it to him anyways and he's pleasantly surprised
>he starts using it both because he secretly likes it but also to nonverbally tease Glynda as a reminder of the whole incident.
that could take up like a week or two of comics, yet all we'd see in the proper episodes is that his mug changed, maybe an offhand comment, or ozpin being strangely smug about something with glynda present.
Get better writers get a good editing staff, have a director that knows the story but is not a writer to keep oversight on the writers.
Slow the story down add more episodes per a season, make the seasons more focused on the little things, make metaplot be more background until the characters are well fleshed out.
Hire myself as a writer to actually teach them how to write.
>You look over at Velvet's sleeping bag, only to find it empty.
"Guys, what's going on? Where is Velvet?"
>"Yeah Cardin? Where is Velvet?" Weiss asks sarcastically.
>"She... went for a walk." He says, giving you a smirk.
>You get up and look outside. It's still dark, and the wind blows just as strong as earlier.
"Don't give me that shit! What did you do?"
>"I didn't do anything. I just 'complimented' her on her new hairstyle." The smirk turns into a grin, just as your fist connects with his face, throwing him to the ground.
>"What fuck is wrong with you?"
"What the fuck is wrong with ME?! I'm not the idiot that made an eighteen year old girl run out in to a god damn snow storm!"
>You put the rest of your clothes on.
>"What are you doing?" Weiss asks.
"I'm going to look for her."
>"Are you insane? You can't go out! You are going to freeze to death before you have even found her."
"So will she. Now give me your jacket."
"Yours can be heated with fire dust, right?
"Then give it to me. Velvet is gonna need it."
>"Oh. Fine then. But be careful, that thing was expensive."
>By the time you are done, you are wearing several layers of clothing, including a dust heated jacket of your own, gloves, a hat, waterproof boots and a scarf.
"You two continue to try and contact Beacon. Oh, and Cardin,"
>You stand directly in front of him.
"If something happens to Velvet, I will smash your fucking face in."
>With that, you leave the cabin, leaving your two "teammates" behind.
>Velvet probably just ran out the door, meaning that all you have to do is walk straight ahead and you should be following her trail.
>That's what you hope, at least.
>The knee high snow makes walking difficult.
>Atleast the moon is shining bright tonight, and it stopped snowing.
I'm actually terrible at writing, I know this from experience. the best I can say I can do is scenario crafting, but actually fleshing out the bits to make a cohesive story with dialogue flow and all that is hard on me. it's like those "idea guys" you hear about now and then.
a good writer can still take a bad idea and make it a fun read
a bad writer will usually still make a bad story even if it came from a good idea
this is why writing is far more important than having good ideas, but the best I can do is provide direction for stories and bounce input back and forth with someone who actually CAN write.
>Hire myself as a writer to actually teach them how to write.
Why didn't Alpha realize he was in a robotic body during his time at Blood Gulch
How did Texas' robotic body work if there were two AIs in it, wouldn't there have been a conflict of control
If they both had organic bodies of some sort, what the fuck was even going on with that
well you're in /RWBYg/ which apparently has no problems with being a sounding board for someone actually willing to writefag instead of being lazy. it's not just me, ask most people in this thread for story ideas and you'll get lots.
He thought he was a ghost.
Tex and Omega were both part of alpha so maybe they can co-operate? the ones in the meta seemed to do ok.
i think both were always inside robots but they didn't realize it. Or maybe Tex did i can't remember.
You mean REEEEEEEEEEEtcons
No, but before that. There was a period where he wasn't a ghost. Did he just not question ever having to use the bathroom or anything?
The Meta was a human and had primary control over his human body. Beta and Omega were two AIs in a robot body. Maybe you're still right, but that's weird.
Still a shitty copout but I'll accept it
90% of it is people asking for self insert or trashy romance.
Neither of those interest me.
Well around here I mostly Gl give writing advice, and most if not all is received very well.
So yes I would say I am a good writer even if I am rusty from not doing it for awhile.
>Jack and Geoff think an area where the criminals don't have guns is less dangerous because all they'll have is baseball bats.
Why is Jack such a fucking idiot?
It's fucking Australia. I wouldn't fight one of those cunts unarmed.
I can think 3 possibilities:
>Alpha was in a body that had all normal human functions, and he thought that he didn't have to go to the bathroom or eat because of the body, or armor
>Flowers used some psychology thing to make Alpha thinkn he was human
>The director progammed him in a way to make him believe he was human
I regularly see fluff requests too though.
if you want a change of pace though, I can make you a list of things to work on. I don't have a list ready so I'd have to think about it.
one I've always wanted though was to see neo doing various odd jobs around vale while in different disguises each time, just so cinder could learn more about the state of the city and what the citizens involved in different organizations might be planning, as well as establishing connections to exploit later.
the main focus would be her just doing everyday jobs though, and somehow getting through it entirely nonverbally. it'd be neat to see how a good writer would make that interesting.
>The bone-chillingly cold wind is still throwing the frozen nuisance around though.
>After a while, you feel the cold creep through your jacket and you have to turn it higher.
>"This is bad." you think, "I don't have enough dust to go on for much longer."
>You take another look at your scroll. It still hasn't picked up Velvets signal.
>"God damn it. She has to be around here somewhere. She can't have gone that far."
>That's when something comes to your mind.
>Using the GPS function of your scroll you realize that you went off your planned path long ago. Instead of going in a straight line you gradually made a left turn.
>Quickly walking back, the divice suddenly vibrates and displays a message:
>"Emergency signal located. Sent by: Velvet Scarlatina."
>You make your way over to the signals position as fast as the terrain and weather allow.
>"Weird. She should be right here." You think as you arrive at your destination.
>To your right you see a pile of snow, it's shape vaguely resembling that of a human. Or a faunus.
>You fall onto your knees and start wiping the snow off her body.
"Hey, Velvet. Can you hear me?"
>You remove one of your gloves and put two fingers to her neck.
>She still has a pulse, but it's slow.
>"Anon...?" She whispers.
"Oh thank god you are still awake."
>You sit her up and have her wear Weiss' jacket.
>Just to make sure, you also give her one of your extra pairs of gloves and your scarf.
>Next, you lift her on your back and start to make your way to the hut again.
"Hey Velvet, stay with me okay? Don't fall asleep."
>"Mmm..." is all that you get as an answer.
"Why don't you tell me more about your team?"
>Every step is more difficult than the last one, as your boots seem to be not so waterproof after all.
>That's right, just keep her awake.
"Yeah, your team. What are they called again?"
>"Coco, Fox, and... and..."
Have you ever seen somebody get worked over with a baseball bat? I don't mean somebody swinging it widely but somebody who actually knows what they're doing. It's fucking horrific.
The issue isn't the fact that bats are less dangerous than guns, but that Jack thinks the dangerous parts of Australia aren't dangerous because all they will have is baseball bats and knives.
Which is bullshit by the way. They are plenty in Australia.
>No, but before that. There was a period where he wasn't a ghost
Ever play SOMA? A part of SOMA deals with that same thing, about robots not realizing they're robots, and think they're people, even when it was obvious they weren't. Alpha went through the same thing before Caboose killed him, he just went around with the delusion that he was human, and then later a ghost. Tex played along with him for his sake.
Now I think I understand. Thanks, anons.
Day-to-day life in the settlements outside of kingdoms?
A fight against a Nevermore, one on one?
How about a small adventure through a forrest?
If you want something a little less RWBY related then
why are you here?
More best Freelancer? Yes, yes I do
That episode answered some questions but raised a bunch more!!!
Also the eye thing from last season opening!
Actually I like those ideas, they give the opportunity to delve into things that will not deal with peoples predisposed thoughts on their waifus, and can have alot of personal input and ideas.
>tfw you will never worship Fertility Goddess Amber
Second best, you mean
And the third best is North
Agent Maine and The Meta are two distinctly different psyches. ;_;
I haven't written in over a few months because im very self conscious about my writing, but im writing a fluff story right now, but very afraid it wont be good and/or too boring.
im a terrible writer overall
the problem with subjects far enough removed from the knowledge base though is that not only do you not have something relatable to build off of, but you risk delving into the can of worms that is inventing your own canon. this can lead to situations where the story is entirely a reflection of the author's wishes, which is the inverse problem of being overly friendly to readers being able to self-insert.
the best balance as a starting point usually mixes things we know and can't really dispute with things that we don't know. this is often achieved by putting a character we know in a setting we know of but whose details are ambiguous, or in a situation we haven't seen them in before. it can still be botched that way, but it's initially farther from that slippery slope.
This is the cleaned up version:
>Your jacket has now run out of dust, and you can feel the cold creep in once more, while the wind hits your face.
>"Where are we going?"
"Back to the house."
>"Is Cardin still there?"
"I'm afraid so."
>"Then he will bully me again..." Her voice grows more and more tired.
"No, he won't. I promise."
"Yes Velvet, really."
>"Thank you. And thank you for carrying me. Your shoulder is really comfortable..."
"No problem Velv."
>Velv? Really now?
>"You know, I think I kinda like you," she says.
"Thanks. I like you too."
>"No, I mean I really li-" Her voice is drowned out by a strong gust of wind hitting you.
"What was that?"
>"I think I'm gonna take a nap..."
"No, Velvet. Stay awake! Do you hear me?"
>Shit. You need to hurry. You are about 40 yards away from the hut. If you get just a little bit closer, then Weiss' Scroll should pick up the emergency signal.
>You take a step forward. Your feet are heavy and cold.
>You a few more steps. There is no way you will give up now.
>One more step. Then another one. And then another one. Suddenly your legs give in. As you fall to your kness, your vision gets blurry and you use the last of your strength to throw Velvets scroll as far towards the cabin as possible.
>You wake up to the smell of chicken soup and burning wood.
>"Good morning, Princess." Cardin laughs.
>You look over to him and Weiss, both sitting at the table in the middle of the cabin.
"Shut up, asshole."
>As you come to your senses you remember what happened.
"Where is Velvet?"
>"Relax," Weiss answers, motioning towards the young faunus sleeping in front of the fireplace, "she is fine. She actually woke up before you. Mumbled something about how you are her hero before passing out again."
>"Even though," Cardin says, "we technically saved both of you."
So the idea of a settlement outside the kingdoms is really speaking to me gonna start planning it we at work and start writing it when I get home. Thinking about putting it as a settlement at the base of one of the booster towers.
Still toying with the finer details. But thanks for the idea.
If Summer had sex with Yang that would be incest right?
So lest say Raven fucks Ruby, is that incest?
That's fair. I don't give two wags of a dead dog's dick about any of this MMA bullshit but I'd probably say so if asked my opinion. He's probably just in an environment (reddit, the internet, RT offices) where it's kind of expected for someone to take one side or another about it, and there's just enough information for him to think he knows enough even thought he doesn't.
have you ever wondered if any team names could be made into something amusing by just changing a letter or something like that? you'd often have to break the color rule though, of course.
like if someone with a T name replaced Pyrrha, team JNPR (juniper) could be team JNTR (janitor).
or if you rearrange team CRDL (cardinal) they could be team RDCL (ridicule).
replacing Taiyang with a P name could turn team STRQ (stark) into team SPQR.
>If Summer had sex with Yang that would be incest right?
>So lest say Raven fucks Ruby, is that incest?
They are not blood related to the person they are sexing.
Now Qrow and Yang would be incest well Qrow and Ruby would not. Using the assumption the writers did not lie to us at least.
It was on Sportsball and the reason you stated why it was so annoying.
I mean he didn't settle with the position of "This was fucking cool" he threw in extra information and got the context of the information and the information fucking wrong.
I even added Summer.
>"But you are also the reason they almost died of hypothermia to begin with!" Weiss shouts at him.
>You sit down next to Cardin and grab a bowl of the steaming soup.
>As you bring a spoonful of it to your mouth, you "accidentally" knock over Cardins serving, pouring it over his lap.
>He jumps up, bumping his knee into the table and starts swearing.
>Weiss laughs, while you just look at him, giving him a sly grin.
>"Do you think this is funny?!" He yells.
"Obviously," you answer as Cardin steps in to the bathroom.
>Suddenly, you hear a giggle coming from the fireplace.
>Velvet has turned around and is looking over to you.
>"Would you look at that." Weiss says.
>Velvet gets herself a bowl of soup and sits down on a chair next to you, resting her head on your shoulder for a moment.
>This sudden showing of affection surprises you, and with a *clonk* your spoon lands on the wooden floor.
>Before you can pick it up however, there is new one placed in front of your mouth.
>Turning your head, you see Velvet smiling at you.
>You let her feed you, before your gaze meets hers yet again.
>The two of you blush, looking deep into each others eyes before Weiss interrupts you:
>"Just kiss already you dolts!"
>Well, no time like the present.
>Swallowing the food, you place one hand at the back of her head and pull her in for a passionate kiss.
>Cardin, having cleaned himself up and changed into a new pair of pants, leaves the small bathroom, and with a "Oh come on now!" makes his presence known.
>You break your kiss and turn to look at him.
>"Couldn't you have waited until we are back at Beac-ARGHK!" His complaints change in to painful rambling as he gets a serving of soup delivered to his chest. This time by a grinning, snow haired faunus.
had to repost cause I fucked up a line
"He said he added Summer?"
"But where is she?"
"I see Taiyang."
"But no Summer."
"Where is...what is that on the table?"
One day I'm gonna learn how make my caps not ugly.
Anyway, I'm off to bed. Cya tomorrow, RWBYg.
I use VLC and added the slower and faster to the toolbar interface. You could probably download the video and watch it on VLC after customizing the interface with that.
Why would you wanna do that?
can I steal that for a OC? cause that honesty sounds kind of awesome
>This time by a grinning, snow haired faunus.
I think you mean heiress, unless I missed something?
still good story though, even if I think Cardin got off light.
Yeah, was fucking around with the it and found it could.
Just go to toolbar, then customize interface.
If you know something similar but better than VLC, I'd actually be glad to know what it is.
Why are you asking me for permission?
Just do it if you want to, I didn't claim it or anything.
Honestly I prefer different kinds of weaponry that he/she destroys easily upon use so he/she packs alot of them
here you go.
What would a RWBY theme park be like,
and how would Burnie rip off visitors?
You have to spend a maximum of $100 in the RT store to get a free ticket, but that ticket is only gets you on 4 rides. You can buy a full park pass for only $200 but you have to buy at least more than 2 souvenir. You also have to sign a contract saying you will come back with in the next year but with twice as much money.
Yeah, that could only work with Monty still around, now it's gonna be better if they focus on plot like they are doing since the fights are going to be one of the biggest weaknesses apparently
Those knowing glances.
I think that would end up making future edits harder.
That maiden girl's weather powers didn't seem limited by her seasons, she could use ice, fire, lightning, wind, and maybe some other crap I missed.
If she can do all that, what can the other maidens do and what makes them different?
Strictly speaking, I don't think it was ever stated the Maidens actually have different powers, just they had different personalities and approaches.
"Magic" is, as far as we know, like using Dust - but there's no known Dust/Aura cap, it's just magic.
Are you of wanting war friend? I will give you war
This Alligator is the last hope of all Remnant. Only he can save the world from Cmen and the White Fang. He is capable of doing it... But how?
>Only two groups wore those colors.
>Either way, it was not good news.
>She chased after the apparition, following the fleeting glimpses of it before it turned a corner or faded behind a bin.
>The twists and turns through the alleyways blurred as she tracked the shade.
>It always kept a step ahead of her whether she sprinted or tired down to a light run.
>Finally, she enters a wide expanse, legs sore and panting
>It was a clearing in the jungle of concrete, obviously part of the city by the skyscrapers and apartments around it, yet somehow one she did not know.
>Blake peered at the ground.
>A thin trail of black sludge traced its way towards an abandoned warehouse, doors dented and hinges rusted.
>The handles were completely smeared in the stuff.
>She swiftly shoved the doors open, mind dimly registering that the fluid was still warm.
>There were no lights in the warehouse, but she was a Faunus
>and so were they.
>They hung from the walls, bodies dangling limply by chains. Female and Faunus, every single one.
>It was a miracle that she did not hear them before she saw them. Some were screaming in agony, some more in pleasure, and a few could have passed off as dead were it not for the occasional spasm.
>All were covered in countless bugs, the occasional one entering through their orifices without departure.
>Shadowy masses that she recognized as the nascent forms of the new insectoid Grimm laid beneath some of the women in the very back.
>This was not the White Fang.
>She rushed to turn around, to scream, to do anything, but all she managed was to see the stinger pierce her neck.
>how does it feels like to be a faggot with shit taste?
I don't know, why don't you tell me
Never. Show was cancelled, RT is out of business, and you're in a coma
tru dat, PSG best anime
or would be if it had season 2
Human that dresses like a gator faunus because she's too dumb to remember that faunus are mammals only
Uses a weaponized version of the Jaws of Life that can transform into a drill lance. There are shotgun components worked into the weapon.
Semblance is spinning objects/herself at high speeds
Basic strategy is gripping onto an enemy with the JoL before spinning her weapon while firing the shotgun barrel inside the jaws
Stupid questions deserve stupid answers.
>it turns out RWBYg is an elaborate VR to keep your dementia-riddled mind from using the launch codes
and what would those "launch codes" be, does anyone have them?
Cinder attained the powe of the 4 maidens before the Alligator coud do anything.
But Remnant is not lost yet. Everyones hopes lies in Godzilla. He will dispose of the Grimm, Cmen, The White Fang and Those Filthy Schnees.
He is absolutely capable of doing it... But how?
Dust in remnant is just another word for nuclear capable material. And is radioactive, civilian exposure to dust over time allowed for the development of unique powers called semblance
Wouldn't that make him banesaw and join the white fang
> Jaune has demonstrated on several occasions that he has big clanking brass balls for someone with no superpowers.
Anon are you me? Cuz you just described my social history (Except for forging false transcript)
So, why are the fight scenes slower?
I know the easy answer is that Monty is dead but the choegraphy is roughly of the same quality just slower.
Can they not adjust the speed or something?
I know shit all about Poser by the way.
If they go too fast retards might be confused.
>roughly the same quality
I hope you are not serious. It's like watching a martial arts film turning into a cg film. There's no choreography, just people throwing magic and 1 shotting others.
Once they run out of Monty clips of Mercury fighting, I can truly get the fuck away from this shit.
I mean.. Monty being gone really is the answer.. The fights before Monty left were almost Jackie-Chan esque in mature. Monty had a heavy eastern martial arts and media inspirations and he brought them to his work.
Also like Chan, Monty's fight's had a flow and rhythm to them. Alot of the fights go along really really well with the music that it's paired with. This is present in most Jackie Chan movies as well. Monty having a heavy hand in the mo cop (Not too dissimilar to Jackie working with his own stuntmen) for these fights as well. He knew what he was looking for.
This has not been the case with season three at all. They've become more shonen/generic anime fights since season 3 started. Which is a bummer. Different guy at the helm, different way of handling things.
The Amber fight in the previous episode was so boring I actually just skipped ahead. Which is a first for me.
So rwby/g/, how does your waifu start a bar fight?
