Let's play Two truths and a lie, Arthur edition. We name two real Author episodes, and one fake one, and see if folks can spot the difference
>That episode Francine founded the Nazi Party of Lakewood and made Butler Hitler
>That episode were Sue Ellen reacts to the Lakewood version of 9/11
>That episode Arthur has to deal with his Grandma's growing Alzheimer's
Watch the second episode here for a clue
>Not know that Buster had created a new Lakewood Reich.
did you even watch the related vid?
>That episode where Arthur had to wear pink rabbit pajamas to school
>That episode where Binky is framed for vandalism
>That episode where Buster and John Morris hunted aliens
Third is a lie.
>That episode where Francine tries to prune her massive labia lips with hedge cutters
>That episode where Muffy gets heavily into designer drugs and wipes out the russian mafia
>That episode where Arthur beats the shit out of his sister for touching his model airplane
>that episode where Arthur punches DW
>that episode where DW swears
>that episode where Fern isn't best girl
>That episode where the Tibbles lose sense of reality and consequence and bust D.W.'s lip open in a bloody mess
>That episode where Arthur's Dad loses his temper and burns Arthur's Mom's hand, putting a temporary strain of fear and confusion in the house
>That episode where Arthur psychologically tortures Buster by forcing him to think about his parents' divorce and his dad's absence
I still can't believe the first one is real, I mean Jesus Christ, the even got Hitler's dad first job right...
>not knowing about DW's snowball
Do you even Arthur?
>That episode where Arthur was shrunk to the size of an ant and crushed by his grandmother in a deadly game of marbles
>That episode where Buster focks his mother
>That episode where Arthur was forced to watch as pirates fed his father to a giant quid
First one. I've heard about the second one and the third seems like something they would do.
Going with the second only by virtue that I've seen the other two episodes.
I know the second one is real. I'm going with first one since I think that was a Hey Arnold episode.
Second one is from the same 9/11 episode OP mentioned. No idea which of the other two are fake though. Probably the first one.
I've seen a Youtube Poop of the first one before so it's not that. I'm going to say the second episode because fuck me if that's a real episode.
Everyone remembers the model airplane episode.
Second one. That sounds too hilarious to be real.
The first and third ones could've happened in one of those fantasy scenes. Gonna say the second one.
>That episode where Fern triggers Francine
>That episode where Francine complains about not having enough strong female characters in cartoons
>That episode where Francine fears that she'll marry Arthur
>The episode where Ratburn claims to go through 50 boy heads a year
>The episode where Brain gives up on life and becomes a NEET
>The episode where DW spent the entire episode fantasizing herself and those around her being attacked by tentacles
The second one is real. Arthur hides from his cousin during a family reunion because she used to dress him up like a baby when they were younger. We see a flashback of this.
I made up the second one. That was supposed to be the lie.
If Brain actually did that, then it was in an episode I haven't seen or forgot about.
Sorry if I accidentally rigged my 3 episodes.
That was Sue Ellen.
First half of episode was Sue Ellen being obsessed with beating some Swedish kid at the game, second half was everyone else being obsessed with beating each other at the sequel to the Duck Game.
Brain was pretty neutral throughout the first part, and gave up the game almost immediately in the second part.
>that episode where muffy refused to eat leftovers at francine's home
>that episode where arthur nearly incited a domestic violence case against DW
>that episode where Mr Frensky blue-texted an implication
>Looked up newer Arthur episode.
>That art style.
>That episode where Prunella thought Marina was cheating on her with her mom
>That episode where Prunella that Marina is what's most important to her
>That episode that was basically just a depiction of the two engaging in sexual intercourse
Can't point to specific episodes.
I know the first one actually happened because the scene where Arthur punches DW is a meme.
Second one was discussed in the last Arthur thread.
Third I knew to be false just because of the facts of life.
>19:11 on video
>They begin the HEILING!
>20:12 on video
>SS Waffen/Gestapo patrol, join party or die
>We will crush the opposition, jeez, nice kids
>First time Fern speaks.
>Burns Binky severely.
I learned that her last name was "Armstrong" a few days ago and still can't handle it.
>that episode where Molly offered Arthur her virginity or else she would suicide.
>that episode where Brain opens the abandoned concentration camps.
>that crossover episode with Doug that beat the superbowl in ratings.
>hasenpfeffer ice cream?
>Second half about censorship
>Scene where Sue Ellen easily outruns multiple adults jogging
>Arthur's dad is a clown
>Spoilers for surprise twist:
Muffy read scary book, cried like the little bitch she is, and her parents got triggered and used their money to stump any other kid from reading any scary books ever again
>Continuation of spoiler that would ruin the episode if you want to watch it yourself
Arthur and his gang form an activist group to cross the Crosswire
Muffy shamelessly bribes the protesting kids
Muffy's dad uses his "think of the children" political agenda as an opportunity to advertise his business
>Plot resolved by hippie deus ex machina coming out of fucking nowhere
Goddamn it /co/. Arthur is a show for little kids, or a meme at best. Arthur is about shitposting fake episodes summaries. But you fucks had to go and make me genuinely like this show.
I remember a hows-it-made after one episode really showed them painting a few scenes and characters. I really thought it was amazing to do that stuff. I watched how classic disney was made.
Few years later I learned that its all computers and overseas Koreans doing it now. It really killed my dream to create something magical.
Holy shit. I never thought of thinking this was real. This isn't all the good, but damn I'm so happy to know this is a real song.
godamn. these feels of nostalgia. why is Arthur so based?
Second one is obviously the fake.
Unless it's a trick, and there was some episode in which Francine or Arthur daydream about themselves older and with kids or something.
Third one I know to be true, though. It was great.
>All those replies
And no one knows how to recreate that? Was it mods fucking around or is there an actual trick to getting bluetext?
<maybe fucking around with this
I'm fucking losing my mind<
here's more of the thread
unfortunately it's all i have
>Arthur and Buster gets bullied into reading Beavis and Butthead comic
>DW steal's her cousin's pantyhose before the big wedding.
> Mr. Frensky guilt trips Arthur into doing doing his job for him.
>The same episode where it ends with Donald killing Arthur, then getting reconstructive surgery and living Arthur's life as if nothing happened, with nobody batting an eye and inadvertently restoring status quo
Source on that dream one. I refuse to believe it
Third has to be false. Buster is the show's best bro; 10/10 would read library books with.
>Few years later I learned that its all computers and overseas Koreans doing it now.
>It really killed my dream to create something magical.
That doesn't stop you from creating something magical that was born within your homeland.
>The episode where DW spent the entire episode fantasizing herself and those around her being attacked by tentacles
>MFW the episode is called "DW all wet".
I made this gif from part of the episode
>new flash shit animation episode
>Fern, the canonically most creative and objectively best girl starts plagiarizing the inbred hick bunny
Fuck this gay earth.
>is she inbred?
>from deep south
>one foot twice the size of the other
All signs point to yes
She came when Arthur went to flash.
I hate her voice.
I hate her design, it is another rabbit.
I hate her constant lying.
I hate her being a southern hick.
Why did they have to shoe in some shitty out of place trailer trash
Chance is overrated shit. He acts like he's Chiraq, but he's too soft and Chiraq is drill music. Drill is hardcore gangs and death. Chance is a pussy and if he showed his face in South Chicago, he'll be shot. He's a Chicago kid.
>1st pic related
>DW won't stop touching the plane, so she gets knocked the fuck out. Arthur: "I TOLD YOU NOT TO TOUCH IT!"
>Third has to be lie due to elimination.
Hopefully this is hard.
>That episode where Fern starts shipping characters and they start coming true
>That episode where Buster is a giant monster and is locked in a cage.
>That episode where Brain is portrayed as a Jew in Nazi Germany and everyone tries to kill him.
So i was just watching the episode "the real Mr.Ratburn and in it Penelope says that Ratburn eats "Nails for breakfast, without milk".
This surprised me because I thought this was just a random joke in Spongebob, what are they referencing? Or is it just a saying I missed as a child?
jesus christ man that's pretty fucking weird
It means that the person is so tough that they eat nails for breakfast and then one-ups that by adding that they don't use milk. Eating cereal without milk is just torture so that means they're welcome to the salty spittoon, how tough are you?
>watch a newer episode
>looks like it was made in freeware animation program
Almost every scene is a flat landscape that looks like they just dragged and dropped models into.
True true true true true
But he is bringing more attention to chiraq which I think is important
But yea he's a pretentious pussy tryna save the world one conscious non-conscious rap at a time
They don't even bother fucking tweening it half the time. It's like watching a flash video on a computer in 2000 and it lags like crazy. I seriously thought the youtube player was lagging when I looked it up.
I really think that it's a possibility Prunila taught the blind girl masturbation during that episode.
Yeah he needs an inhaler, it's also later refranced in the 9/11 mock episode.
Here if you fags are still here
Remember This Gem
Guys some of these new episodes seem gold
> Arthur's Toy Trouble:Arthur gets a Mutant Muck Monster as a gift, which he later learns is worth two million dollars unboxed, but it has fallen into the hands of D.W.
> Carl's Concerto:After George discovers that Carl is a skilledaccordionist, Carl agrees to play the accordion for George's puppet show reenactment of 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' for the local preschool class; however Carl's autistic routines get in the way of rehearsals.
>The Last Day:Arthur and his friends are moving into the fourth grade, which Muffy and Francine are concerned about. Meanwhile, Arthur and Buster have their sights set on being in the fourth-grade class taught by the 'cool' new teacher.
It can't be
>that episode where buster visits a muslim family and learns about their culture so as to not racially profile post-9/11
>that episode where brain breaks the fourth wall and does a three minute commentary on the absolute impossibility of the given episode's events
>that episode where jenna turns out to be a dirty diaper fetishist and gets found out at a lesborotic slumber party
>Most of season 19 is only in UK
>Arthurwiki has a Fucking spoiler policy
This article is affected by one or more episodes fromseason 19. Do not add information from an episode until it is properly released. Please see this wiki'sspoiler policyfor more information.
I want to say the third one is the lie, but I've seen similar "fake" episodes posted a few times in this and previous Arthur threads, and I know how we all like the exaggerate or assume when making these episode summaries.
So, this is what Arthur threads have done to me; make what was once impossible plausible
>That episode where Brain becomes part bug so the entire class puts him in a SAW trap
>That episode where the writers accidentally turned in their Arthur POV fanfic for an episode
>That episode where Brain and Binky become stranded so they begin a government for peanuts and rocks
Third is lie
Saw a ytp on an episode where Binky got refined musical taste
Other people in this thread keep talking about some duck episode where Arthur basically becomes a brony
>This video does not exist.
>Sorry about that.
>Arthur contemplates bringing a gun to school so that Binky won't fuck with him anymore
>Buster and Arthur survive a world-ending cataclysm and attempt to survive post-apocalyptic Elwood
>The Tibbles, in RPing as sentai rangers, fuck DW's shit up so bad that she gets hospitalised
I'd say first one is a lie.
Other two actually sound very plausible.
>YFW Brain IS A FUCKING COCKROACH THAT IS ABOUT TO ACTUALLY BE EXTERMINATED
Mods will ban if you if they don't like the porn but if they do they usually just jack off and leave it.
After all, He does it for no money gains
>"If anyone can answer this question you all get to go out to recess early"
mfw Ratburn was throwing Brain a bone after losing his temper yesterday and seeing how upset the other kids were at Brain too.
>Binky's fat ass is ashamed that he can't sing so he lipsync's.
>Binky sacrifices himself to bring out Arthur's inner strength.
>Some musical cucks from Sweden or some Nordic place come to Elwood for a concert.
I think all 3 is correct, but i'm a bit iffy on the 3rd
There was an episode where the kids wanted to invent a holiday and Buster's idea was Halloween where everybody knokced on his door and gave him candy; resulting in him eatting all of it. The next day, all of the candy he was not able to eat he gives it away to the younger children. He was a really fat bunny in that vison.
I think its the 2nd
>the episodes we try to make fake end up being real anyway
This show has like 225 episodes; we were bound to guess some right. I had to look it up because I didn't even know they were still making new ones.
Francine x Muffy are the original tsundere
I wish they didn't cancel the Magic School Bus. If there were 200+ episodes that would be one hell of a game.
>that one time the entire class got jizzed on by a fish
>Black and white noir episode
>Fern talks about "one good thing about my blue periods"
>Arthur and Buster make a homebrew /tg/ game
>Buster makes Brain a little dumber; he checked, lost 2 IQ points
>Buster and DW fuse
So animation isn't as good, but maybe the newer episodes aren't too bad after all.
>Binky believes he is going to die
>Binky openly questions Ratburn on the meaning and usefulness of education in the middle of class
>Binky convinces the principal to climb Mt. Everest
>Binky performs a ballet and invites all his friends to watch
You may have noticed that I am breaking the rules by listing 4 fake episodes.
They're all true; and all in the same episode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUtuI6QFVvE
Finally decided to follow the PBS kids link thinking it couldn't be anything too weird.
Holy fuck Arthur.
>Why Arthur and not Binky
I guess to get across the message that anyone can be a bully, and even not know it?
>The episode where Francine's softball game was ruined by Carl's spaghetti
>The episode where Carl lost all semblance of popularity after revealing his power level
>The episode where Carl used the school computer to post dank memes
>That episode where Ms McGrady get's cancer
>Sue Ellen shouldn't have been so easily triggered
But, all greentext japes aside, do you guys think Sue Ellen was especially sensitive to dog jokes because she's a cat?
>The episode where Arthur cyberbullies a girl into depression
Wasn't an episode
>That one episode where D.W. time travels to abort Arthur
>That one episode where Arthur and D.W. get trapped in a freezer with only five hours of air left
>That one episode where Buster discovers the moldy cheese he had in his pocket for the last four years has given him cancer.
>That one episode where Binky discovers true patrician music.
>That one episode where Arthur discovers Mr. Ratburns sex dungeon/library.
>That one episode where Francine gets decapitated.
>But, all greentext japes aside, do you guys think Sue Ellen was especially sensitive to dog jokes because she's a cat?
Definitely. There had to be some racial undertones in Arthur's jokes, no doubt about it.
His friends were all egging him, so of course he made more jokes. But then Sue Ellen instead of clearly telling him out she feels (she phrased it as a joke "This dog might just get angry and bite you.") she goes nuclear and tells on Arthur to the teacher.
If I were Arthur I'd be pissed too if I had to write an apology letter. Yeah, it was passive aggressive, and it basically said "Sorry you can't take a joke", but he was half-right.
Of course then, his "friends" decide to solve this bullying problem, by being passive aggressive bullies themselves. Jesus.
I got a similar ending. I chose the "Buster continues to bully Arthur" ending, which involved Arthur emailing Sue Ellen that 'shopped picture, and she ended up transferring to a different class so she wouldn't have to deal with Arthur anymore.
Goddamn. I did not expect any of this when clicking on that link. This shit is legit sad.
There have been discussions on how to make a parody or webcomic or whatever of all the fake Arthur episodes we keep coming up with, but some uncertainty on how to split from the established Arthur canon.
Maybe this is how?
Someone could start their fanfiction/webcomic whatever by having a darker, edgier alternate timeline in which Sue Ellen never talked to Ratburn, or some other pivotal change in decisions in some episode.
The changes begin with Sue Ellen changing classes and Arthur being labelled a bully, and along the road escalate to crime, anime battles and end of the world scenarios.
Spoiler alert: The 'cool' new teacher is a hipster douche
>That episode where DW is terrified of octopus-related circumstances
>That episode where Arthur gets PTSD from a prank
>That episode where the Tibbles made sexual advances toward DW without knowing what they meant
>Buster is jealous that he didn't experience 9/11.
Is this fucking real?
>Look up season 7
>See list of episodes
>See an "episode 0"
>Check it out
>It's the episode where Backstreet Boys
It exists. Arthur never disappoints.
>you will never listlessly watch the clock tick closer to 3:00 in Mr. Ratburn's class and then groan collectively as he hasn't finished the lesson and holds the class 5 minutes over to assign more homework and when he finally finishes you run to your bike but as you unlock it a soft hand grasps your arm and it's Fern asking if you'd want to stop by Meteor comics and you walk your bikes together through Elwood City to the comic shop and there's a new issue of Grotesquely Grim Bunny but you don't have enough so Fern offers to split it with you and so you both chip in and go to the Sugar Bowl to read it and Brain is there and he gives you a slight smirk because he knows you like her and you take turns reading character lines from the comic until you both realize it's dark out and you race your bikes home up until where your paths diverge and you both stop at the stop sign not knowing how to say goodbye, and not wanting to.
What issues does this show have left to explore?
They've done swearing, diapers, nazis, depression, autism, bullying, stuttering, and other disabilities.
Will they ever do an episode on the gays or gender dysphoria?
>The episode where Muffy traps herself in an elevator with a member of the Backstreet Boys
>The episode where Arthur awkwardly tries to express his fetish for obedient dog girls in school and ends up pressuring Sue Ellen to change classes
>The episode where Francine didn't ruin everyone's fun
The difference in happiness between /v/ and /vg/ is fucking heartbreaking.
>2nd is a lie
When the fuck did Arthur get a new mommy?!
That was actually a pretty good episode.
Arthur being that upset over his dad is going to stick with me.
Is it really a 9/11 episode? Then what does Binky represent? The terrorists? Or maybe the CIA or NSA? He let himself be ruled by fear, and in his own personal conflict with his fear; war on terror, he ended up doing almost the same thing that caused the whole mess.
Also, Mr. Morris is interesting as fuck. He doesn't deserve to be a shitty meme for deleted posts.
I actually kind of want to see this.
Sue Ellen not only as part of Arthur's family, but as an authoritative role. Maybe she babysits DW, but is also given power over Arthur, or something.
Maybe she takes this opportunity to get back at Arthur for the sheepdog incident
>Boy, that's a lot of moms!
I always wanted a behind the scenes to see how the did it and how awkward it was. Did they the VA just walking around?
>The episode where DW's fishing prowess inspires a campground to form a Merry Mow Cow cult
>The episode where Muffy enters a baking contest, then the gang goes in Muffy's kitchen and throws a bunch of shit in a bowl of cookie dough as a joke, but then Muffy actually enters the it in the competition the absolute madwoman
>The episode where Francine didn't ruin everyone's fun
>Boy, That's a lot of moms!
Here's to another great year of Arthur threads.
I thought the bad decisions you could make Arthur do were exclusive to the comic. I thought the dramatic confrontation in front of the school was the end of the episode, where Arthur finally apologized, and the show moved on. I thought the photoshopped Sue Ellen dog was an added touch to show how far bullies can go, hypothetically.
But it turns out that Arthur trolling Sue Ellen with sheepdog photoshops and a lasting strain on their friendship are canon.
For fuck's sake Arthur is more autistic that the actual autist.
Arthur was a villain protagonist all along.
Looks like you posted wrong Bunny. I'll fix that for you.
>the episode where Kate fell two stories down after crawling out an open window
>the episode where DW and Emily attempt to drive and accidentally hit a crossing guard
>the episode where Buster comes to terms with his sexuality and confesses his love to Brain
What the fuck was the point of adding this bitch? She literally brings nothing of value to the story. They should have just made her parents out to be abusive meth addicts so there would be a legit white trash character.
>that episode where Buster almost ended his friendship with Arthur because of Reality TV
>that episode where Francine found the joy of cooking
>that episode where two girls visited NY and bought a pretzel
Bumping for longest running Arthur thread in /co/ history
You either get cancelled a hero or exhaust the writers' ideas over 18 seasons and become a villain.
Newer episodes actually aren't bad once you get past the animation.
>She's write a letter from the bottom of her heart and
>Includes a gift certificate to her father's car store.
I believe it's also kind of a running gag that Mr. Crosswire funds a lot of charities or other public events, and always takes center stage and goes on about Crosswire Motors' reasonable prices and quality service available near-24/7
>filename is an actual quote from the show
>that episode when arthur wanted to get /ss/'ed by his babysitter
Why is it that some episodes in this season get a different, worse VA for Arthur?
>Arthur gets /ss/ed and becomes the new Eddie.
I'm ok with this.
Like Arthur failed to crush that pussy.
>>That episode where Ms McGrady get's cancer
I stopped reading the thread at this one. I can't believe how much of a train wreck Arthur has become. I'm in my late 20s, and remember watching the show years ago when it was about stuff like sharing, playing nice, and school shit.
Alzheimer's, 9/11, cancer, Autism, Depression, Cyber Bullying, and domestic violence. Why bother buying a box set of the later seasons?! You'll just end up crying and contemplating how shitty the world is.
>crying and contemplating how shitty the world is.
>not realising this while you were a kid young enough to watch Arthur and getting over it by now
>>not realising this while you were a kid young enough to watch Arthur and getting over it by now
Don't even imply it. I grew up with David the Gnome and Sesame Street. Both did a fuck ton job better than Arthur.
>The episode where Muffy and Francine framed their classmates for cheating and stealing
>The episode where Binky was so fat the treehouse fell apart when he got in it
>The episode where Brain becomes paranoid that subliminal messages in music are making him dumber
It's not just bullying either, they did the whole 9/11 parody well enough, Alzheimers episode was fucking sad, and I'm pretty sure there was one about alcohol at one point too.
Only things they haven't tackled yet are homosexuality and pedophiles.
I'm not saying those two go hand in hand, but...it would be pretty easy to do an episode about a gay pedophile.
You mean Flash, right?
What the fuck is this?
Did someone photoshop his kid into Arthur?
Did this actually air?
Is this just a mild YouTube Poop?
What the fuck am I watching?
How can she be colored if she's blind?
Someone in the draw threads was nice enough to color it. Still don't know who drew it but it also came from the drawthreads so I'll probably never know.
Arthur is the Chaotic Good children's show. What it has to say is cruel, but needs to be heard. If even one child grows up being able to immediately recognize fascism as soon as it creeps up, then the show did its job.
This is the most terrifying thing i've seen in a ling time.
There was a lesbian couple in an ep of Postcards from Buster (there's a link to it in this thread somewhere.) There was a huge controversy over it so the Arthur writers might be afraid to tackle the subject, and reasonably so.
Arthur needs more silently stoic characters.
The dead look on his face when he split the wooden planks in half. Fucking savage.
>I know just the thing to make your party a big hit. A book of brain teasers!
>There's a book in the library about how to make fun of the brain?
What's better is someone filmed their kids reaction to getting one of these
Why would the pedophile be gay? Most pedophiles are straight men.
Also I don't think it's unrealistic for them to have a gay or transgender character. There's still one kid in their class who hasn't had a back story yet. Maybe he will start crossdressing or something.
I like Fern. She's the quiet one that will fuck your shit up. If Arthur had tried to make fun of Fern instead of Sue Ellen, I'm pretty sure he would've ended up crying or in a body bag.
>That episode where DW dies of cancer in Arthur's arms, and it flashes forward to Arthur and his daughter visiting her grave, and the daughter asks why she shares her name with the gravestone.
I actually read a Gravity Falls fanfic with the same plot.
Arthur Season 19, episode 10: The Last Day
"This will be the finale for the nineteenth season of Arthur, which is likely to end in mid-2016. It revolves around Arthur, Francine, Buster, and the rest of the class heading to fourth grade with a cool teacher named MC. I do not know if this is the series finale, or if if this is the end of the third grade era."
