The only villains they've used are Green Goblin (twice), Dr Octopus, Venom, Sandman, Lizard, Electro and Rhino (briefly). There are other villains to use and explore.

Redunancy isn't a huge problem. Unlike a lot of old superhero comics, the original Spider-Man stories are actually pretty good. There is a narrative that flows through them that tells the story of one guy's life from the time he was 15 through to adulthood. Peter is a superhero who actually experienced growth not just in his origin story but through much of his history. He started as a bitter geek and after he became Spider-Man he started loosening up and becoming more social.

Of all that material the movies have covered just a few plotlines from the comics: His origin (duh), the Green Goblin story (twice), his romance with Gwen Stacy (partially) and the black suit (poorly). The Goblin and Gwen Stacy are major plots and its unfortunate that they were handled so poorly in the last movie but there is still a ton of other material to work with.

The Spider-man movies comes out in July 2017. They said he'll be appearing in an MCU movie before that happens. Since we have all the movies up until that time already announced with release dates set, the only movies he could be in are Civil War, Dr. Strange, Ant-man, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. It's impossible for him to be in ant-man at this point, Dr. Strange seems an unlikely fit, same with GotG2.

Barring showing up in one of Netflix shows (which would actually be the more appropriate place for him to show up) or making a cameo appearance on AoS, Civil War seems to be the most likely.
