Let's have a no bully Korra Ending thread
Korra and Asami exploring the world together would be pretty cool, wouldn't it?
Saving the goddamn world and by pleasuring that sweet sweet Company Presidential Pussy.
Korra would try to pay for things, and fail miserably. Asami would humor her.
>Let's have a no bully Korra Ending thread
That's just not gonna happen but we can try.
Doesn't Korra get some kind of stipend from the Red Lotus? Also having a Spirit Portal at each poll and one somewhat north of the Equator makes travel a lot cheaper I imagine.
>Korra would try to pay for things, and fail miserably. Asami would humor her.
>Trust me, I'm Water Tribe. These guys love to haggle. What would you say to...TWO copper pieces?!
Technically she's Aang. Maybe she inherited his haggling skills.
>Doesn't Korra get some kind of stipend from the Red Lotus?
And by Red Lotus I meant White Lotus.
Except in that cool alternate universe where she's a goddess of anarchic destruction.
This is only way this could end.
Do you really think that the CEO of Future Industries would let the future Mrs. Sato pay for anything?
>Korra and Asami exploring the world together would be pretty cool, wouldn't it?
Yeah but it would get really awkward when they camp out at night and they both know there's something more going on here than two friends having fun together but have no idea what to do about it or how to go further. I mean the most they've ever been able to bring themselves to do is lots of hugging and hand holding.
Asami is the man of the relationship, obviously
>future Mrs. Sato
I just realized Korra doesn't have a surname so this is a decision they'd never have to make.
I guess Varrick is the only Water Tribe person to have a surname, because if Varrick wants a surname (and to be a fucking knight, apparently) no one can stop him.
Them exploring each other's bodies would be cooler
They have a very deep connection. See how they both reach out to grab each other's hand at the same time with no idea if the other wants to do the same? That's an unbreakable bond. When the time comes for them to fuck, they'll know it.
That look on their faces was so gay I thought Korra was gonna tell the spirits to go off somewhere, so Korra could saunter over to Asami and lick her fucking clit.
And then right after the Korrasami lick fest right before the credits roll, Korra fucking flat-out
bricksin Asamis mouth.
>asami grows out of her lesbian phase in season 2
it would be just like my josei, such delicious drama
The relationship is going to be hysterical. Korra is going to come out of the spirit world and get drunk with Bolin and Mako, saying "YEAH GUYS TURNS OUT I WAS JUST GAY BUT THAT'S FINE CAUSE WE'RE ALL BROS NOW, BROS WHO LIKE WOMEN, MAN WE'RE GONNA SLAY SO MUCH PUSSY."
Korra will always be going on dates with Asami but she'll act like it's no big thing and how manly she is for having Asami wrapped around her finger.
Meanwhile whenever they walk down the street together Asami will stand on the outside of the sidewalk, lay her coat down for Korra to walk on whenever there's a puddle, discretely pay for the checks and buy her diamonds and jewelry, and revealing lingerie.
Yeah, but when I'm with you I'm thinking of her!
Asami enjoys wearing dresses.
Korra wears what Asami thinks looks good on her.
So what is Korrasami going to be like in whatever Legend of Korra extension that comes out next like in some new comics or something? I doubt we'll ever see an official kiss between the two but how far will them being lovers will be implied? Will they be living together for years? Will we see Asami get out of bed and cook Korra and her breakfast?
I think ultimately Nick holds the copyrights for everything Avatar.
Although I think Bryke could handle the licence in whatever way they saw fit.
They just got dicked over at every turn by the execs.
Actually yeah. Sure they can be either lesbians or platonic - it doesn't really matter. What matters is they represent the old values of the world in the Avatar and the new values in the President of Progress.
This bring up a good question. Obviously, Gene Yang didn't know Bryke would make Korra and Asami an item when he started writing Avatar Comics a few years ago.
If they ask him to do LOK comics, would he refuse? He's a hardcore Catholic and he might refuse on religious grounds.
I'd rather have the krew going all together on an lighthearted adventure as friends.
Korra as the muscle, Mako as the nerd, Bolin as the comic relief and Asami as the.... lesbian?
But can't be Avatar without a shitty romance going on.
>no need for the only two good members of the krew
This is a NO BULLY zone, Anons
>Yo Korra, what's with the dress?
>Asami said I shouldn't dress like a slob, so she bought me some stuff. That's dames for you. Fuzzing over that kinda thing.
>I also see you're wearing make-up.
>Apparently brings out my eyes. Barkeep, can we get another beer in here?
>And the manicure and the jewelry?
>Oh she wouldn't shut up about it, so what the hell?! Doesn't bother me much, as long as she knows who's wearing the pants in this relationship. I mean, when I come home after a hard day of keeping the peace, I don't take no bull. I expect a juicy roast in the oven, the evening paper on my armchair and my girl in an apron and nothing else. And if she gives me any lip, she can get acquainted with the back of my hand. Am I right, guys?!
>Here Here. So, I was thinking we hit Wu's afterwards. Shoot some pool.
>Can't. Asami says I should be in by 10.
Given that people still talk about ATLA after almost 10 years, there are still new comics coming out and LoK comics are all but confirmed, I'd say, at least 5-10 more years give or take?
i want to fist them and claw out their ovaries with my bare hands
Welcome to Hell, Anon
>I just made fun of Korra so hard I made a bunch of fanboys puke out of pure rage. Where's the mop so I can have the mods clean it up?
>In the archives with the admin tools.
>We have admin tools?
All of my money.
I think it'd not only be hilarious but also highly likely for Korra to be utterly pussy whipped without even realizing it.
That could make for an interesting series of mini-episodes actually.
As for the Korrasami ship, I've a feeling that Korra and Asami wouldn't stay together for ever.
Asami has her corporate empire, and Korra has her Avatar duties. New enemies will crop up once more, Korra will have to go off to distant lands in addition to dealing with a ton of the new world politics that will crop up from the democratic Earth Empire. Asami on the other hand will become ever more involved in her company as technological advances are made, and after her father's redemption she'll have even more reason to remain the head of the company and carry on their family name. As a result they'll slowly grow apart due to conflicting duties and the lack of time for each other. In the end, they'll break it off but remain strong friends.
>Implying this isn't what will happen
They survived a hiatus of three years before they were even together. Also, they're both pretty independent people, and they can travel the world in mere days thanks to advancing technology and inconsistencies in the setting.
Asami was the one who built those hummingbirds, Varrick just helped her get them ready, she built the prototypes. She also built those airbender glide-suits and she is very familiar with all the weapon technology her father provided for the equalists. I'd say Varrick is the better inventor, but Asami would be perfectly capable of designing a weaponized power-suit.
i like how she's doing this in the middle of a street in broad daylight
"oh hey, the president of sato industries is wearing the flayed skin of the avatar. what else is new?"
>So what is Korrasami going to be like in whatever Legend of Korra extension that comes out next like in some new comics or something?
There won't be any.
If there are it's not gonna be from Nick so yeah kissing probably won't be impossible.
Asami's problem as a character is that she starts the series very well rounded and mature. She has no easy psychological hang ups to get over and have an internal character arc. As a result, her arcs hinge entirely on her relationship with other characters or other outside events. This doesn't make her a bad character or a cardboard cutout, but it does make her less interesting.
Let's post Korrasami evidence.
1. Asami was the only one Korra wrote to. Imagine you leaving for years and the only person you texted was a man while your parents and everyone else didn't know if you were dead or not.
2. Asami promised to always be the for Korra. Saying if Korra ever also wants "anything else" (romance)
3. Korra blushes at Asami's compliment on her looks. Must have felt good to be complimented by a woman you find so attractive. Korra was always raving about how gorgeous Asami is.
Yeah, that's where Mako fucked up.
The tragedy is that at the end Mako could have been with Korra, but Asami swooped in. Asami was the one with Korra and the wheelchair, Mako wasn't.
Mako was NTR'd.
4. Asami equated losing Korra to losing her father.
5. They keep staring into each other's eyes and smiling in silence.
Here's the only big effort-post argument I've seen in favor of it since the shitposting hit full peak. He misses some stuff but it's pretty thorough.
6. They argue like an old married couple because one was gone so long and the other missed her so much.
In retrospect Asami was signalling Korra for a long time before Korra picked up on it. But that makes sense. Korra's busy being a physical and psychological cripple here.
7. Even Mako can tell that they're unusually close to each other. He asks "What's going on with you two?". They've long since been friends so it's clear that they're now acting like more than friends.
8. Asami is willing to drop everything she's doing in life to accompany Korra to the Southern Water Tribe.
That's true. My soulsucking mother stole custody of me from from my father in the divorce and it's fucked me up thoroughly.
But the question is...can a woman be a father figure? What's doing the most important part of the fatherhood role in a child's development? The psychology or the physical presence?
I genuinely have no idea. This hasn't been studied enough. I mean is his a "single mom's are a terrible idea" issue, which could be fixed by having two parents of either gender? or is this a "you have to have one parent of each gender to have the same chance at being psychologically normal as other children" thing?
If it's the latter it could easily be argued that same sex couples adopting children is immoral.
Again, don't know myself. Questions worth asking though.
I imagine that Korra bottoms because it gives her a chance to let go of all her responsibilities and give up control in a safe environment. It is why there is a stereotype for overworked business men being subs. Asami on the other hand always seems casually confident, not in a dominatrix kind of way, but it gives the impression that she tends to lead naturally which probably translates into bedroom shenanigans as well. Their sexual dynamic is pretty easy to pin down which is part of the reason why people started shipping them in the first place.
>Red Lotus successfully kidnaps Korra at the age of 5, as intended
>She is raised to believe fully in Zaheer's radical anarchist ideology and her role as the bringer of the new world order (which is to say, utter disorder)
>Zaheer is her mentor and airbending master (he can teach theory only, of course, until the portals are opened during Harmonic Convergence) So despite arguably being a better teacher than Tenzin, she's still gonna have a hell of a time mastering airbending
>P'li is her firebending master and surrogate mom
>Ming-Hua and Ghazan are her water and earth masters, and cool aunt and uncle
>When Korra has mastered all the element she can she is unleashed on the world to tear down all nations and borders
>The problem with Makorra was that it happened during the time where Korra was at her cunt-iest. They could have probably lasted with post-Wan Korra
Maybe, but she and Mako were snapping at each other like old times in "Reunion".
Lack of father figures can be pretty bad, but Korra strikes me as the bumbling dad archetype. Well meaning, but dumb and crass.
Asami is smart and sweet, so she'd be the mother figure.
A young boy growing up would have no problem. He'd play catch with Korra, and talk about his emotional issues with Asami.
He'd initially go to Korra to try and talk about how to pick up girls, she'd give him terrible advice, then Asami would swoop in and give him the real low down.
Kid might have some gender confusion early on, but he'd be fine.
>I can't just ignore things I don't like
I bet you go to /mlp/ just to remind them they are sad men watching a cartoon for little girls and rage when they tell you they don't care.
My first thought was
>the shippers are gonna have a hell of a time with this
Since I figured it was just there to tweak their noses because Nick would never allow it. I underestimated how little fucks Nick gave and now have to admit I was wrong to dismiss it.
>Asami would swoop in and give him the real low down.
>Asami does a horrible job and embarras the kid.
>Goes to Mako
>"Hey kid, i sleept with both of your moms, i can help with this"
Look a hint at a relationship but I'm sure the naysayers will just ignore these romantic advances
I'm sure "just friends" do this.
Gender confusion isn't something easily bestowed environmentally. You either have it or you don't.
Unless you're one of those poor fucks that got a botched circumcision and then sexually reassigned when they're infants without their knowledge. That almost always ends badly.
>Maybe, but she and Mako were snapping at each other like old times in "Reunion".
People that were close then separated for a long time sometimes do this when they're reunited. They have to kind of fall back into the grove.
>First comic is Asami getting her face stolen and Korra having an awesome boss-fight with Koh
Would be cool, if the comics didn't suck like ATLA's.
She's the Hank Pym to Varrick's Tony Stark. They can't all be THAT good, but she's still good.
My mom's a doctor and my dad is a chef who listens to ABBA
I love my family but dear god I'm meteroas fuck. I had a girl break down in tears to me saying she liked me but knew I preferred guys.
I don't prefer guys. I like vaginas. I had to kiss her and talk to her for fifteen minutes afterwards to convince her I would go out with her.
>I had a girl break down in tears to me saying she liked me but knew I preferred guys.
Did the conversation end with her saying, "Knowing me, knowing you, there is nothing we can do"?
Yeah, I thought, "Okay, they're definitely teasing the shippers. Now let's see if it continues into Book 4." And it did. First with Korra only writing to Asami, and then their reunion surpassed expectations.
Her spiritual development would probably have to be deliberately stunted, since pretty much all of her previous selves would tell her to stop what she's doing if she made contact.
As for how the world handles it? Civilization ender. Red Lotus Korra would be the greatest catastrophe to ever happen to the Avatar world. She destroys everything, and as soon as a state seems to be forming somewhere out of the rubble, she shows back up to crush it.
Basically Korra becomes Sin from Final Fantasy X.
I was denying it up to the very end. I saw all the signs, I just refused to believe they'd ever actually do it. I thought that maybe there'd be some totally sisterly gesture at the end like a kiss on the cheek or something, that could easily be interpreted romantically for the shipper, but that's it.
Instead we got them lovingly gazing into each others' eyes and clasping hands like they're at a goddamned wedding.
I was wrong, but I was grinning like a moron from the moment Asami lied to Tenzin to get a moment alone with Korra
Just according to keikaku.
Keikaku means plan
High quality post
>splitting up the character so they can have an alone chat
Same. I knew they'd give a nod to their friendship, but never expected double hand holding in the final scene of the series.
Yeah, I was grinning too. Also looking through my fingers because I'm easly embarassed.
Mai hated Azula, didn't she?
>Also looking through my fingers because I'm easly embarassed.
Were you watching it with someone or something?
>tfw /co/ failed to stream the finale
I kept hearing people saying it was lie, but I wasn't sure if I missed something that obviously indicated it was a lie. Though I kind of like it better if she was lying just to get some Korra time.
>who knew twinkle toes could dance
>I love Zuko more than I fear you
>tfw both of Azula's best "friends" actually hated her and were only with her because they were afraid of disobeying her
It's hard being a monster sometimes.
>Mai hated Azula, didn't she?
Didn't Mai initiate their hug together when they met in Omashu and then begged her to take her Avatar hunting because of how much she hated being around her family?
>pretty much all of her previous selves would tell her to stop what she's doing if she made contact.
So, you're saying that, since in the actual series Korra lost the link with all her past selves, now there's a bigger chance of some future Avatar turning bad because they don't have their previous lives to count on and guide them?
Because that sounds awesome.
The more I think about it the more I think Korra has no clue that Asami is actually gay and the rest of the nonexistent show will be about Asami lusting after Korra while she continues to do dumb things that seem to signify romantic interest.
>Asami is such a great friend
>why does she keep leaning in
>my hands are getting sweaty
>can we go in now
What I'd find interesting about this is if the Fantastic Four of the Red Lotus actually RAISED Korra from when she was five years old, how would that interact with the knowledge their endgame involves her death?
The Red Lotus believed in their cause, but it was shown pretty clearly they're not sociopaths. They're normal humans doing what they believe is right, and they care about each other.
I have to wonder, would Zaheer have it in him to sacrifice a girl he RAISED for ideology?
I liked the ship, and I certainly saw it teased, but I thought they were just having some fun with us while establishing a solid friendship between the two.
Admittedly, that's one way you can interpret the finale, too, as I do keep in mind that this is a series where two straight dudes danced together in a pillar of rainbow fire, but it does seem like a much more overt nod to the ship than anything I was expecting.
What's actually going to happen is that Asami will dress more and more slutty and be more and more seductive, until Korra, overcome by the chemicals in her monkey brain, ravishes her.
I wonder if Korra got 'the talk' from her past avatars since she was raised in seclusion in the SWT until 17
>Hey Aang... why does it feel good when I rub my private parts?
>Uhhh... hey I'm going to pass you over to Roki
>Uh I think this is something for Kyoshi
Lesbians aren't the victims of violent homophobia. That's the bubonic butt blasters who end up getting beaten to death on the playground.
Also Asami is filthy rich, and filthy rich people are allowed to have their eccentricities.
You've been watching the show, right? They made a 25-story mecha before they figured out how to make a gun. The Avatar world will have space flight and kinetic barriers before anyone figures out gunpowder can be used for weapons.
>Didn't Mai initiate their hug together when they met in Omashu and then begged her to take her Avatar hunting because of how much she hated being around her family?
I don't remember a hug so you may be right.
Her feelings have clearly changed in that pic though.
I think this is true most of the series but she gets it by the end.
Your idea is still amusing though.
>What I'd find interesting about this is if the Fantastic Four of the Red Lotus actually RAISED Korra from when she was five years old, how would that interact with the knowledge their endgame involves her death?
I don't think that was necessarily the end game. I think they figured if they could indoctrinate her it was worth it to keep her alive.
>I have to wonder, would Zaheer have it in him to sacrifice a girl he RAISED for ideology?
That's a tough one. He's as fanatical as he can be...but he didn't achieve flight until P'li died. If he loved Korra like a daughter? I don't know if he could do it.
It actually would have been badass if one of the books involved parallel universes, and one where Korra fulfills Zaheer's vision of the world and she has to fight herself. Book 5.
As far as we know the only Avatars Raava bothered to even make aware of her existence were Wan and Korra. Raava is a cold bitch that doesn't bond with most of her hosts.
Did this happen with Aang?
>Aang: Avatar Roku, sometimes when I look at Katara...or even think about her, I get this strange feeling in my...
>Roku: Ok! That's enough!...Did the monks really not talk to you about this?
>Aang: About what?
>Roku:...talk to Kyoshi
>Aang: You see Avatar Kyoshi, sometimes when I look at Katara I-
>Kyoshi: GIVE HER THE DICK
And if it weren't for the final 8 seconds we'd still be laughing like we laughed at Zutara
>Roku: Alright Aang, just lift her leg a little... THAT'S IT!
>Kuruk: Ok, now... move your finger as if you where trying to tickle her from inside aaaand... There you go!
>Kyoshi: PUT IT HER BUTT!
>Aang: Oh Come On!
So basically, you would have been right not for the fact that you were wrong?
>"Aang, you need more than one woman to restart an entire nation."
>"But Kyoshi, who would want..."
>"You're the goddamn avatar! You saved the world from the Fire Nation, do you think it's hard to find an eager pussy?"
>"I don't want to cheat on-"
>"GOD FUCKING DAMNIT, BOY!"
>all the past avatars are coaching Aang with the collective wisdom and skill of 5,000 years of sensual lovemaking expertise
>Kyoshi just keeps telling him to force it into Katara's pooper
Fuck you guys I almost choked on a Skittle.
It's pretty lame, and why a lot of people feel blindsided by it. It's like they knew they didn't have the talent to actually pull it off so they shortened it as much as possible and shat out the bare minimum to make the Korrasami fans happy.
Maybe it's for the best Korra doesn't have them around anymore. I wouldn't trust half of them to be mature about giving Korra advice vis a vis Asami.
Korra's relationship advice to future Avatars is a frustrating, embarrassing experience for all involved.
>It's pretty lame,
Eh. Agree to disagree.
>Book 1 Korra's relationship advice: Throw yourself at them every day until they love it.
>Book 4 Korra's relationship advice: Let them throw themselves at you every day until you love it.
>I wouldn't trust half of them to be mature about giving Korra advice vis a vis Asami.
>Aang: This is a trick i learned in my honeymoon... okay, now, do the sound of an "M" on her clit. See? She likes it!
>Kyoshi: Shut the hell up, boy. Where the fuck is strap on?!
She didn't blush because she liked Asami, you blind fool.
She cut her hair with a freaking knife because she didn't want to be recognized, Asami's compliment reminded her of of that, she blushed NOT because "omg she rike me", she blushed because "Aw shit my hair".
Korrasami isn't real.
They do, actually, none of that implies attraction between girls, none.
And she blushed because Asami's compliment reminded her she cut her own hair with a knife, it was literally just embarrassment.
