"The Shell" is God Tier, and "The Void" is good tier.

Every other ep has pretty much been meh tier, because they all depend too heavily on all the characters acting frustratingly stupid. I had in fact given up on this show because of the stupidity, before "The Shell".

I get liking the shell design more, but what is so atrocious about the light bulb?

I really like what they do with her eyes. That whole choking scene would look weaker with the shell form.

No, let her date Gumball that was always expected, just do away with the lightbulb design and let her pop put of the shell every once in awhile when she feels like but stop with charade with trashing the old shell design and making this the norm. People always wanted two things:

1. To see what was hiding inside the shell
b. To have her finally date Gambo

Both are achieved but the lightbulb design is such an eyesore and looks lazy/half assed. However, when she shape shifts between forms instantaneously to show off her emotions that shes scared or worried, those are really cool animation sequences. Her 'default' lightbulb design is displeasing to the eye and she looked alot better with the shell on though.

Thursday is "The Mirror" I think its set for 15 min, not sure if "The Man" will follow or be put off for the week after but it should be a 30 min special (both episodes)

The Kids and The Fan was a season premiere and not a 'special'. None of the events in The Fan had anything to do with The Kids. From what I heard, the entire story of 'The Mirror' was supposed to span the entire 30 minutes (opposed to the usual 15 minute episodes) and last I checked, Gumball is only airing for 15 minutes this week (The Mirror) so it seems odd to me.

I just looked at the schedule they're doing something strange... Gumball will air The Mirror at 6:15PM in its 'usual' slot next to Clarence, and then at 7:00PM, Gumball will air The Man and then The Bros at 7:15PM (e.g. they aren't showing both episodes in a 30 minute block) so this is something new and I didn't see The Man reported on the Toonzone schedule which had the scheduled list of episodes for October 2014. I didn't think The Man would air this same week but they are doing a weird scheduling for some reason this week.

It still makes no sense... there are three Gumball episodes (instead of two). They could hold off airing The Bros until another date and air The Mirror and The Man in the 30 minute block instead. Regular Show has its 30 minute special Terror Tales Into The Park but its airing on Wednesday and has its regular new episode on its normal Thursday timeslot. Its just strange to see this Gumball "Halloween special" (which I've seen people in these Gumball generals bill it as a 30 min 2 pt special) split into two episodes airing at different times 6:15PM and then 7:00PM (opposed to a natural 7:00PM then 7:15PM airing)

its like the way you buy pizza... you pay for a whole pizza, a large but you ordering a pizza, getting 67% of the pizza now, and then a few hours later, the pizza man delivers the remaining 33%. Its not that I'm complaining about more of it in the lineup, the method of delivery (a 2-part Halloween special) split into episodes airing at strange times when they could naturally do both episodes at 7:00PM then 7:15PM) (e.g. you get the whole pizza in one shot/delivery) It also kills the momentum since Steven Universe airs right after the first part (The Mirror) airs at 6:15 so people who don't want to sit through Steven Universe, have other stuff to do, or get tired of waiting will miss out on the 2nd part. This new post-Stuart Snyder era Cartoon Network seems to be strange to me and especially with their viral 'catchphrase' marketing campaign with the bright colors and no references to the show (you should see they take huge billboard adspace in parts of Hollywood with huge cathphrases and quotes from the shows, no designs or characters or drawings or references to Cartoon Network and they're expecting people to understand the references in public. Ben got a HELL of a whole lot more respect in my book. Apparently the people from PFFR (they are a band and a production company that made a little show called Wonder Showzen that is legendary) produced and worked on the failed Gumball 2008 pilot. I saw their name (PFFR) in the credits but not have seen the original Gumball pilot itself (from 2008). Is it available anywhere??

Very cool! Thanks for sharing that, I've never seen it. All I know is I was looking at PFFR's credits on IMDB and saw that they were credited on working on "Gumball (failed 2008 pilot)" and thought WHOA! and their dark humor totally matches some of the stuff that Gumball does but PFFR does lots of music so I could see maybe they did the background music if this was in fact the 2008 pilot mentioned or if there is another one, possibly longer. Too bad they don't show the end credits after the US version airs (in full screen) so I could scan and see if PFFR is credited in the current version of Gumball. It might be that they were the ones who made the theme music at the beginning? Also, someone should check if Vernon Chatman or John Lee (two of the PFFR guys and the ones who created Wonder Showzen) are credited in any way on the current Gumball episodes...
