Perfect movie.

This movie was great, probably one of the best made for TV movies Nickelodeon has ever produced, but I have one or two big complaints about the ending. Mainly, I don't like that Timmy became a moron like his dad and forgot the way Vicky treated him. They also missed out a golden opportunity to show a MILF Tootie. Also the bogus thing about Timmy keeping Vicky around to keep him miserable.

When a show so disregards its own story lines, it gives us free reign to be equally selective.

The latest episodes aren't just non-canon, they defy story logic within each episode. Love at First Bark was the worst offender. Timmy wished his dad would fall in love with a dog, which breaks a rule that the fairies would recite just moments later when Timmy tried to undo the wish. For the first wish to have worked at all implies that his dad does not feel true love toward his mom. That would be some hilariously dark humor if it were intentional, but we all know it was just shit writing.

The writing has been low quality because this entire season is a rush job.

It was a pretty big production order to begin with, yet they seem to have been given a limited time to do it. Every episode is the same five or so characters, meaning the same voice actors, meaning less recording sessions and people to pay and such.

The biggest and most hilarious flaw has been the way they handle the magic users. Poof and Sparky in particular. Poof just has this tendency to disappear, without explanation. Sparky is sometimes nowhere to be seen but just shows up at some point the episode to remind the viewer he exists. They have no consistency to how they handle the rules with the fairies, so there is no suspense when something like Timmy losing his fairies or them being unable to grant a wish happens, because in the end Sparky or someone else can do it... unless they conveniently get written out of the episode.

It's a damn shame. The animation of this show has gotten better, the environments and settings are actually well detailed in many cases, but the writing and pacing is just absolute shit. Worse, Hartman just refuses to admit the problems with the writing, if you follow him on twitter he just flat out dismisses any such comments.

From my career of sitting in FoP threads and waiting for shitposters to show up, I've noticed there's always this one guy that really, really dislikes Tootie and gets really passive and aggressive about posters not hating her. And there's also quite a few people that get really annoyed any time my retarded character white washing theory gets brought up; not sure why. For some reason the show attracts these people like flies.

Then again, I don't even watch the show since having a neutral viewpoint makes my post stronger. There's some weird appeal to pretending like I'm not just a bitter shipfag.
