Can we have a thread about the best Green Lantern?Ok, second best, she's not Guy.
I love her. She's cute. She's strong in a way no other Green Lantern was before. She has issues and flaws and she overcomes them. I have similar issues and she helps me a lot. It's awesome how one comic book character can positively impact one's life.

This episode just shows how boring the show has become. They had an interesting idea and portrayal of let's plays (why are you watching someone play something instead of doing it yourself with somebody)
you think the show is going to take down Let's Plays but the message is just "hey this is cool too" there's literally no point to the episode only to acknowledge that the matt and trey know that let's playing exists

I'd heard about this show somewhere and thought the premise actually sounded like a lot of fun - some kid from a Conan the barbarian style world of magic and evil sorcerers ends up here on earth and makes friends with some kid and the two fight monsters and shit. The artstyle is acceptable and some of the characters designs are even pretty cool.
The writing is lame as fuck though, even for a cartoon for kids and it makes the show just a bland snorefest to try and watch.
Golan the Insatiable (pilot season) did it better but even then it still wasn't great.

I liked the TV show as a kid, but I always wished it was more serialized.
I read the first three trades of the Wolfman run. It was pretty enjoyable, but I didn't feel the need to read more than that.

It was one of the most serialized cartoons to come out until the modern era, as every season had a major arc and many other eps clearly fit into a single timeline. Remember, there was no Adventure Timeor horse showback then, so having any continuity in a cartoon was considered a huge risk for the network.
And honestly I'm not even sure it would have been better that way, many of the standalone eps were extremely enjoyable.
