Friendly reminder that Brian Michael Bendis saved Marvel twice, once by being the true mastermind behind Ultimate Marvel, and twice by making the Avengers the A-list team they were always destined to be, which in turn also makes him responsible for the highly successful MCU, so in theory he has saved Marvel three times.
It's flawed, but I actually really liked his Old Man Logan tie-in for Secret Wars. One of the only parts of that event I enjoyed, actually.
He's directly responsible for all the Netflix marvel shows. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.
>>94499147
Bendis is the devil. Marvel made a deal with him so that he would save Marvel in exchange for its soul. Admit it, Marvel may be alive, may be successful, but it no longer has a spirit,, a willingness to execute a vision that isn't backed up by market research or a tumblr poll to virtue signal to sjws.
https://www.newsarama.com/35805-why-marvel-doesn-t-publish-the-fantastic-four-and-what-it-will-take-to-make-them-start-again.html
I mean, No Shit. Why is this news spreading NOW? Why are they also forgetting the fact that Ike is also a petty fuck & the other reason the F4 are being wiped from existence? It's literally Marvel just pointing all the blame on Fox & trying to make themselves innocent as though they also aren't the problem. No surprise there, I guess.Noah Hawley is gonna make a good Doom movie though
>Hickman explained
who cares, he doesn't writes for marvel anymore.nothing we didn't knew, anyway.
>>94499112
>he doesn't writes for marvel anymore.
Which is why I wish he called out Ike on his bullshit instead of pushing all the blame on Fox. Yea, fox has shit the bed with F4, but someone finally needs to call out Ike & let everyone see him for who he is.
Saw this pop up on my normie feed today.
What shows should I be binge watching while training? I've recently done Samurai Jack and Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra, thinking of revisiting the Dragonball series next for the first time in over a decade and a half.
I find it odd that you would watch shows that have a plot while doing something else. Wouldn't it be better to watch something like Billy and Mandy so you can focus on your training more than the show since each episode is fairly formulaic?
>>94498730
let's be fair, anon
Korra's plot is so stupid that the show's more enjoyable without it
Fist of the North Star
Okey I have two great Ides for adult animated Oscar bait,. If you steal them that is fine
One:A animated drama about a kid force to live his life in a North Korean concentration camp.
2:A dark more adult Bambi like film about Animal Abuse(I'm thinking either a film about a Lion going from a illegal Zoo and the effect it has on the lion physiologically or a film about the 2 Mosul zoo animals serving there isis controlled zoo)
>>94498650
>Okey I have two great Ides
Just adapt a Daniel Clowes novel and call it a day
>>94498650
The way that was set up, I was expecting them to be obviously and irrefutably terrible ideas, but actually with the right execution I would watch both of those movies. I think the plot about the lion is already an arc in some versions of Kimba the White Lion which turned out pretty well.
What does /co/ think of Celebrity Deathmatch?
Man this show was my jam. I remember the first episode I saw was Spice Girls vs Hansen. My mom called me down to watch it, since it was claymation and I liked both bands at the time. Turned out to be one of our favorite shows. Pic related and Bigfoot vs Nessie were my favs.
It was great at the time. Loved Stone Cold commentating on The Nanny's match.
>>94498371
I fuckin loved it as a kid.
And after a rewatch it still holds up. I wish they'd make a new run with current celebrities.
>4 episodes with continuity.
>The episodic feel has been lost.
>Too much focus on emotional background and character progression
I don't see this recovering from it's unavoidable fall
Yeah pretty much. Shit, the intro was "Don't read into everything" and then those motherfuckers have an entire ending reading into everything.
I feel like the worst shows in the past few years have had continuity while the best ones were episodic. Am I wrong?
>>94498327
The most recent season was pretty weak, but before that continuity was the best thing to happen to South Park in 10 years.
>>94498299
actually i think people are getting pissed off because the intro makes a reference to 9/11 being an inside job. so now the fascists are in a panic
>complains on how Rick and Morty are trying to force the pickle rick meme
>/co/ actually makes it a meme
What have you done /co/ you gave them just what they wanted. Even if it is ironic
>>94497688
Butthurt anons, trolling anons, and anons with autism made this possible.
It was inevitable.
>>94497688
¡Pepino Ricardo!
I love what happened here. people were so worried about a lolsorandumb! meme, and it turns out pickle rick really was just a down the middle sight gag to facilitate having what was basically a "got shrunken and trying to unshrink" episode
but the panic about the meme that never was, turned it into a shitpost meme
Is it possible to mix porn with serious storytelling?
>>94497649
Sithrak hates us all equally, even now he oils a spit for us. Live as long as you can.
Yes.
>>94497649
No.
Some erotic moments? Sure. But never outright porn.
So I quit reading DC after Batman: Endgame but picked up a few trades recently after hearing some positive things about Rebirth. I'm kinda confused though.
Is the only difference with Rebirth Wally West is back and New 52 Superman/Old Superman fused?
Was Gordan still Batman for a while? Did the Justice League fight Darkseid like in Volume 1? I just don't understand what happened and what didn't.
Also what is Dark Night Metal about?
>>94497291
>Gordan
*Gordon
Read this issue.
http://viewcomic.com/dc-universe-rebirth-001-2016/
>>94497291
Not OP but I thought rebirth was supposed to be a "rebirth" that straightened out all the old continuity but it definitely felt like if you didn't read all of the last 5-6 years of DC comics nothing made sense. Also did the Watchmen ever actually appear or was that ending all hype just for a year of nothing? (tldr Rebirth just seems like the same old shit?)
Zack Snyder clearly lost his fucking mind when he made this. How do you make THIS out of the simple premise of Batman fighting Superman? When a movie studio tells you to make a blockbuster capeshit film about two men in tights punching each other, how the fuck do you shoehorn in a subplot about some destroyed African village?
I dont understand the rationale behind this movie. It's so off the mark from what it should have been.
>>94497243
It's pretty much a worst case scenario. Maybe the worst superhero movie ever made. But certainly the one with the most lost potential
>>94497243
Because he had to make it totally super deep with so many totally deep and subtle deep references that totally make it even more totally deep.
>>94497329
Not really. A Batman vs Superman film as the basis for their first meeting is the most shallow film premise ever. Its why the motivations in the film seem so contrived.
Starting off with the Not-SWORD version of Alpha Flight.
The entire latest run of Mockingbird.
Tony Stark being adopted.
>>94496841
I don't mind the new Alpha Flight. It's not like anyone was using them back in Canada
Besides the only cool SWORD agent was Brand and she got transferred to AF
ITT Shows that LITERALLY only you liked.
>>94496778
My nigga
Well we're off to a bad start, my siblings and I loved the show back then.
What did we think about The Day the Night Stopped Beginning to Shine and
Became Dark Even Though It Was the Day Teen Titans Go four parter?
I edited it together. I didn't realize until it was 70% uploaded, but I fucked up and missed a to be continued. All the intros and credits are out so it plays like a mini-movie. I really don't get how anyone can hate this show
https://mega.nz/#!8G4DiIZK!4AQ1AR8IfIXSjuRYUfVlYdWgB4I4KWeSZ63CA8Jn5wk
>>94496757
I liked it. Honestly I fucking hate TTG, but this special was great. If there were 0 parts of the special that had literally-retarded Beast Boy and the normal TTG art style, I would genuinely give it a 10/10.
But I already made a thread >>94500024
>>94496757
It's shit, just like every other episode of Teen Titans Go.
>>94498461
>>94499732

Shills
Does anyone here watch Lolirock? It's a show about lolis who also rock.
So, nobody?
/co/ isn't interested in french shows that don't feature shota catboys.
>>94497564
That show is pure cringe. I don't understand why anybody still cares about it.
Hey neat, we had seen Francine's father before.
>>94496463
I always liked how they kept track of all the side characters
>>94496463
yep
but what spurred this?
>>94498635
Francine's adoptive parents came over, and took over the place as they always seem to do.
They are kind of bullheaded, since her baba took Stan's swimtrunks and farted in them. Also hanging ducks in the living room, letting the grease drip all over the carpet, fireworks, and well... yeah there's only so much a man can take and Stan does not have much patience to begin with.
