They honestly never had much mass market punch in the first place. Their big period was under MLJ up until Archie was created, at which point the superhero wave was already dying down and they increasingly became phased out for teen humor. Then they tried the 1950s/60s revival which was also pretty marginal (with only two titles running for more than 10 issues, those being Fly and Jaguar). Then it's been short-lived reboot after short-lived reboot. I think they just don't have enough of a foundation in the fandom to stick.

besides in products like Arkham Knight I got the impression the director or DC or the writer, I don't know who, had other vision of the character and that's why Tara sounded different to her former performance though I alwyas prefered Sorkin's voice

Yeah he was fine. It was really cool how they showed the skeleton of that guy who stayed behind in the library too. It's just the idea that spirits aren't really Gods or divine or whatever that bothered me. They're literally just animal people with nothing more to it than that. In airbender they were mysterious godly beings on a higher level than humans
