If you were a superhero/villain, would you wear your trunks on the outside like a deviant?
>>94752547
Depends on the costume.
>>94752547
I always thought that trunks on the outside kinda served as a "cup" so nut shots wouldnt work or something
Where do I start?
>>94752514
The Image series from 1995.
>>94752514
Release order. The only way to really experience. Besides, Busiek and Anderson use the passage of IRL time really well.

So I should read everything?
A simple question guys, after Defenders, who has gained more development and who hasn't won anything? all included, even secondary characters.
I think the big winners were Matt, Danny and Misty:
>Matt because although I'm really tired of his relationship with Elektra I think that end has a lot of potential for the third season of Daredevil, he being "dead" and not a problem anymore for Fisk and others, in a place he doesn't know, meeting with his mother, a lot of potential, only Bullseye could make me more hyped.
>Danny because without The Hand he's finally free to follow a new path, one as a possible new Daredevil... we know that will not happen but you know what I mean.
>Misty because yeah she lost... her arm and possibly her job xD but I think it was what everyone wanted to happen, she as detective was boring and now I can't wait to see her in Iron Fist season 2.
I think the big "losers" were Jessica, Luke and Colleen:
>Jessica because in the end it finishes just like in her own series, with her re-reopening her business as a private detective, we don't even see much of the consequences of her battle with Kilgrave, I guess all those psychological sequels will be seen in the 2nd season of JJ.
>Luke Cage because... damn! nothing new, for worse, his release from prison was very fast and they don't give much hints of what Mariah and Shade are plotting against him for the new season, it was just him helping another black poor kid and his family... damn! poor mother.
>Colleen... ugh, I will defeat you Sensei... again! nothing new! except her possible friendship with Misty.
Colleen and Claire won.

Voltron Legendary Defenders: What are the chances of Lotor forming evil Voltron for the season 4 finale?
>>94752260
It probably won't be a thing until Season 5.
Probably at the very end, then we won't see more of it until s5.
>>94752260
I hope he calls it Sincline.
How do I cope with none of my ideas being original
I've tried writing/drawing/telling stories for my entire life, and recently my motivation has just been crushed out of me by realizing that just about everything I have ever worked on is just a knock-off , or done 1000 times before, or is "borrowing" way too much from something.
Everyone always says "no one makes anything original anyway" or "originality is impossible" or "great artists steal" or whatever but I just can't stay passionate about my work when its similarities to something else I enjoy are respect are so blatant to me.
>>94752231
Don't draw inspiration from other fiction, take it from real life. Leave your bubble and go see the world. Draw what you see. Write what you think. People that are make cartoons based on other cartoons won't make good cartoons, Miyuzaki is write about that. He didn't want to be a storyteller, he just lived a rich life, and that gave him ideas.
>>94752231
Tropes are not bad.
>>94753618
This, but you can draw ideas from other people's work. Take an idea, a trope a concept or something you want. Then explore it and the word around you. Explore how you want to make it look, how you want to make it feel. What ideas spring to your mind. How would you make them work. So on and so forth.
Then you can create a story.

Am I reading Spiderbunny again?
so anyone whose read up on tt universe' slade knows about the unofficial connections between pic related.
if you could pick one director to spearhead a new animated movie based on deathstroke meeting his alternative version "slade" from the tt universe. who would you pick.
lets toss around ideas because slade was a really iconic villain with a great profile.
id like to see some exposure because I'm a big dumbass fanboy
What the fuck was Slade's deal? Did they ever explain it? Was he a crime boss? An assassin? A human trafficker that only deals in teen aged super humans? I think a movie about Wilson meeting Slade would just be hundred questions about how his operation works.
Wait. So Slade wasn't supposed to be Deathstroke?
>>94752378
yes and no.
they are technically the same but not canon. as i inderstand it. to deathstrokes story he wasnt the slade we know in teen titans hes just slade wilson. who becomes deathstroke as an individual. not like a " was slade the villain and is now deathstroke the assasin" story.
http://teentitans.wikia.com/wiki/Slade
they are indirectly the same character and person. as far as I understand. its been a long time since i read the profile. but not the same universe. because this version of slade was a persona specifically for the show. hes a headcannon of sorts.

Is there anything I need to read before Johns' Green Lantern or is it a good jumping on point?
You need to read Emerald Dawn II (critical since it contains Sinestro's origin and sets the stage for Geoff's take on him), Emerald Twilight, Zero Hour, the first six issues of Kyle Rayner as Green Lantern (#51-55 and #0), Green Lantern #146-150 and Last Will and Testement of Hal Jordan (as these roll back the death of Killowag and the Guardians, plus introduce the concept of Ion), and Day of Judgement #1-5.
Also, when you start reading Geoff's GL run, around issue #10 IIRC (right when the "One Year Later" time skip happens) you need to read the 12 issue Ion mini-series (which has a plot point critical to Sinestro Corps War) and Infinite Crisis #1-7 and JLA #114-119.
Don't listen to this guy >>94752382 besides the Ion suggestion because it directly ties in. Stuff like Infinite Crisis gets recapped for you eventually. You don't need to actually read it even if it means things will resonate better emotionally later on. From experience, this was basically my first main comic run I read and I got it fine without having read any of that.
Honestly I think even Rebirth itself is debatable because it's mostly continuity cleanup and not very introductory. But the suggestion is Rebirth first then GLC Recharge, then you just kind of read GL and GLC ongoings until Sinestro Corps War where they crossover a bit. There are some spotlight issues to that so you'll generally want a list.
