Is there a comprehensive Legion reading list/order? I'm specifically thinking of reading the Waid and the Abnett/Lanning runs, or more if there are others that are particularly worth reading.

>Waid
Are you talking about reboot Legion (90's) or threeboot Legion (2004)? Because if it's the latter, skip it, it's pretty fucking terrible. Waid's first "how do you do fellow kids" moment.
>You could start from the beginning and marathon through but if you need a little help with some starting points/suggestions (there have been a couple of LoSH torrents around but I don't have a link)
>Silver age: Adventure Comics #346
>Bronze age: LoSH v2 #283
>Five Years Later (you'll want to read it with context of the earlier stuff though): LoSH v4 #1
>90s Reboot (first proper reboot): LoSH v4 #0, Legionnaires #0, LoSH v4 #62, Legionnaires #19, LoSH v4 #63, etc (they stop crisscrossing directly after like an arc or two but they'll crossover again at times as well)
>DnA run: LoSH v4 #122, Legionnaires #79, LoSH v4 #123, Legionnaires #80 then Legion Lost (you could start with Legion Lost on its own but the context helps)
>Threeboot (second proper reboot): v5 #1
>Retroboot (sort of an unboot): mainly just the Johns arcs (JLA/JSA Lightning Saga, Superman and the LoSH, Final Crisis Lo3W)
>Other cool things: Star Trek crossover, Morrison's Action run, Superboy's Legion Elseworld
>Not exactly LoSH but you should read it: L.E.G.I.O.N. and R.E.B.E.L.S.
>5YL gets shitty when Giffen leaves. Threeboot gets shitty when Waid and Bedard leave. Retroboot get shitty/mediocre when Johns leaves.
>There's a ton of minis that aren't listed that are ok, Mon-El had an ongoing and was pretty involved in New Krypton, etc. But I assume once you get a taste for things you'll probably read them anyway. I probably forgot something obvious.
The order I personally went was Johns, Threeboot, from the beginning until 5YL, Reboot, then doubled back to 5YL which is probably about the least sensible way of doing it but yeah.

Remember when Captain Underpants was going to kill Wonder Woman?
Remember when someone at Sony said he'd shut down the film division if Emoji and Jumanji fail?

Can anyone explain this? Why did they change her race and aesthetics when it would redefine and alter the original charm of her character? Not only that, Hollywood would not just make her look worse, but also write her worse, since they don't even know how to write an interesting black woman.
Is that meant to be paint or vitiligo?
>>94880320
If the original "charm" of the character is solely in their aesthetic, then they wrre garbage to begin with.
I mean, I was under the assumption that folks (allegedly) like Domino because she's a capricious, morally ambiguous mercenary who impishly manipulates probability. Guess not, if all her "fans" care about is her skin color.
I mean, I haven't read anything with her in it, but she seemed kind of interesting. Clearly she's boring as fuck and only good for fapbait.

How often do stuntmen not match the race and gender of the actor they're filling in for?

Why would they? This has nothing to do with the MCU.

Is she a modern Peggy Hill?
Beth is at least an actual, competent surgeon, which isn't something any idiot can do. Peggy, on the other hand, never showed herself to be decent at anything other than, what, pitching in a recreational baseball league? Does Beth behave like she's the smartest person in the show, too, while in reality being one of the dumbest? I haven't watched the newest season, but she at least wasn't like that in the older ones.
Nah nah nah, Beth and Peggy are very different. Beth's competent in her work, but a straight up bad parent. Peggy is bad at her main job (not counting musings and newspaper titles) and is narcissistic as fuck, but she legitimately cares about her family and loves them.
What went wrong?

Nothing, it's the best X-Men movie, if a bit cheesy
>>94879957
That's a weird question to tackle, because from a modern context the movie comes off as corny and clunky. Plus, there was still a reluctance to go "full comic costumes," but looking back, I can at least understand and respect that choice.
But from its own era, it was amazing and opened the door for a lot more Marvel and superhero movies in general. Yes, Blade and a few others came before it, but X-Men was a team book that at least tried to be "for the fans" and that set up a model that still exists to day.
>>94879957
the film was early capeshit and it gets points for that. it stumbled on a few things that worked well, but it made a ton of mistakes and missed opportunities.
no fan favorites like nightcrawler or colossus or beast. wasted sabertooth by making him a bumbling henchman. casted an awkward american actress to play storm. writing a plot where magneto changes people into mutates but not using any of the mutates from the comics. tacticool flight suits. i could probably go on.

Probably gonna go Season 5 standalone at the moment, though I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the remaster looks
Hopefully they have an exclusive steelbook with some alternate art somewhere

My face after finishing chapter 6 of Lastman.Siri goes from being the best girl to remaining the best girl. I don't think Richard is ready to know the truth about what happened to her, even after the second timeskip.

>>94879614Probably like a male version of Cristo. I get the feeling he went and trained with her during the timeskip. It's not like he could live in the Valley after what happened. He's probably powerful as fuck.
