Of all his adaptations, the only one alan moore has actually liked was a justice league episode "For The Man Who Has Everything". Was he right to hate them all except one or was he just being really nitpicky?

It's his name being put on them, if there's anything to be nitpicky about, it's that.
>>95377425
>was he just being really nitpicky?
Yes, because he doesn't like anyone playing with his toys other than him.
Even then I'm pretty sure he doesn't even like the stuff he writes.
Are the Earth One books aside from Teen Titans any good?
Only Wonder Woman is good. Batman is ok. Superman is shit.

Elaborate?
What would your pitch for Goofy Movie 3 be?
Max is now straight up an adult, moved out, dating a girl, has a job, and Goofy is trying to still be hugely involved in his son's life. Max doesn't directly challenge this problem, and is passive aggressive until he explodes.
Y'know, like the other two films. Just update it to modern times and keep Max aging in real time. Despite it being the same film but again, there are new issues to tackle giving it a fresh coat of paint.
Why is 'Leaning tower of Cheeza!' guy even on the cover? He wasn't important or a close friend to Max.
Goofy is diagnosed with cancer and Max spends one last summer with him before he dies.

So Spencer is trying to say Iron Man is a fascist? I really dont get the point of invoking imagery of Civil War here.

That's not Iron Man?

It's evil steve who with all the experiences with regular steve and an iron man suit and with the shield (at first) still jobbed to regular Steve.
I remember liking Flapjack as a kid and looking at it now I kinda dig the artstyle, which makes me wanna watch it.
Is it worth rewatching?

Doing a repost (for the uninitiated) of my new animated project with you, guys, (it encapsulates my love for all Joker interpretations across all kinds of mediums) that includes an original script, great vocal performances from such talents as Jay Nelson (thanks to a /co/ user from 4chan for getting us in touch) & Mark Hamill himself (the O.G. Joker from BTAS).
Story: "With all the recent news announcements about the Joker spin-offs (under Todd Phillips, Martie Scorsese potentially producing, and the other two guys doing ‘Harley/Joker: Mad Love’ thing), The Joker himself (featuring the voices of JAY NELSON & MARK HAMILL) decided to share his own thoughts and feelings about his own history in this unusual TV SPECIAL!!!"
Took me a long time to accomplish it, but it's so worth it - it's about the essence of the Joker and how he transcends our perception of him at one moment in time or another (there's also some stuff about DCEU's recent news and announcements).
It's like a classic radio show mixed with beautiful animation mixed with unhealthy doses of insanity and madness.
Hope you enjoy it! Have a great weekend, everyone!
Forgot to mention a funny coincidence, apparently, there was a Joker mini-series "Batman: It's Joker Time!" in 2000's (by writer/artist Bob Hall) where he spent all 3 issues of it hosting his own TV show. It's a very strange, psychedelic, disturbing and very confusing read, but features some neat visual interpretation of Joker's Red Hood identity.
We should have a Storytime on this
>>95375801
Is this just related to that one season or does it lead into "Super Megaforce?" If so, are they trying to make any kind of actual explanations that the show couldn't be bothered to make? Either way, a story time would be cool.
>>95376106
This Comic Book is just related to Megaforce
>>95375801
You know, couldn't they have made a comic adaptation of Megaforce where they actually meet up with old Rangers and fixed some of the shit from the show?
I hope the next South Park episode has the boys getting asshurt over Terrance and Phillip allegedly pushing a political agenda only to end with them realizing it's a fucking TV show and nobody should care.
Fucking Lol.
But on a serious note:
You know that part in the first episode this season where Randy is telling that red reffed guy that he should have gone to college?
I'm sure there are plenty of rednecks or whoever that wanted to go to college. It's not their fault of college is fucking expensive and they can't afford it. Let's also not forget how ridiculous student loans are. If the economy turns to shit and you can't get a job even with your shiny new degree, then you're really fucked by not being able to pay back that debt.
I'd like Matt and Trey to comment on that issue in some future episode.
Just my two cents.
>>95375782
It don't work that way anon.
Movies, TV, comics, etc... are propaganda, South Park is a establishment show with a Neocon/Neoliberal spin on every episode. Fucking Boondocks felt more anti-system than anything that came out of Matt and Trey.
I'd rather they parody the new IT movie with the boys. It feels right up their alley.
How come Ren and Stimpy is still a dead franchise with nothing new happening? It was the ONLY good Nickelodeon cartoon because it resembled the classic theatrical cartoons
Shouldn't you be finishing Cans Without Labels, John?
>How come Ren and Stimpy is still a dead franchise with nothing new happening
Because:
- John K left the original show on awful terms, so they couldn't get him back
- his replacements couldn't do the show the same way he did, so it changed and became a gross-out comedy show instead of a "psychodrama" comedy show
- once the wounds healed, John K was invited to make an adult spinoff, Adult Party Cartoon, which bombed hard. If I'm being charitable, I'd say John K deliberately fucked it up to hurt Viacom. More likely, though, he just fucked it up.
- Viacom doesn't want to touch Ren & Stimpy any more because Adult Party Cartoon ruined whatever appeal Ren & Stimpy still had
Now even if all of the above weren't the case:
- full animation is expensive as fuck, and takes a fucking long time to finish
- there are far more marketable characters that Viacom can use (see: Rocko)
im sure that despite the damage that spinoff did to the brand
that viacom could bring it back any time they want
if anything, most cartoons now adays are 'worse' in terms of grossout shit than ren and stimpy ever were
>helped write some of the best and most popular episodes of Spongebob
>In turn Nick treats his show like shit
>Implying nick gives a flying fuck about competency in writing.
>>95375441
"Harvey Beaks" sucks! Hot garbage.
But "The Loud House"?
Now THAT'S a good show, how else did it rake in more viewers than Spongebob?
Sorry your little Chowder 2.0 didn't do too well.
How many episodes are left to air in Russia? Since Nick is obviously not going to air it on US tv like a bunch of fags I might as well just torrent the season after it's done.
What are you favourite, non-superhero comics?
>>95375248
The one with an evil Dr Manhatten type running a tyrannical space empire. I read it so long ago I forgot the name.

Hes the story writer. The artist is very good. But hes not illustrating it.
So I watched through three SW Clone Wars eps which happened to all be politics related and it seems to me that based on the three eps + others off the top of my head, every issue in the Galaxy from hunger, poverty, government bureaucracy, trade disputes, secession movements, corruption, inequality and so on are all caused by one single thing:
Evil people.
Yup, the cause of all suffering is just evil individuals who were born evil and have no redeemable trait.
Or what about Legend of Korra with the whole Equalist thing. Is it unfair to suggest that non Benders should have a way of defending themselves against Benders? Maybe Benders shouldn't have a monopoly on power, literally.
Oh wait, turns out the equalist leader violently overthrew the government and happens to actually be a bender. Realizing their leader was a hypocrite, the whole Equalist movement then just... packed their bags and went home? I guess the whole have and have nots of power issue resolved itself pretty quickly
There just doesn't seem to be any nuance or depth when it comes to real world issues being portrayed in cartoons. It's just evil people that's the cause of suffering rather than something systemic and abstract.
Anyome know of cartoons that do tackle politics in a more... mature and believable way?
There's this strange new cartoon I've been hearing about OP. It's called the News.
Korra's portrayal of the Equalists is somewhat current with how certain groups are shouting out about oppression and inequality. The non-benders never were oppressed or treated as second class citizens with the bending capable ones were propped up into positions of wealth or power. Before Republic City, the four nations were based on their cultures and not bender and non-bender.
Also watch or listen to the news like NPR.
