Has anyone ever said anything to you about watching cartoons as an adult?
>>92106525
When my coworkers were discussing their favourite TV shows. I told them that many of my favourite shows are kids cartoons. They were a bit weirded out by it but I explained that I watched cartoons alongside popular dramas like Breaking Bad because not only does the whimsy and comfy nature of cartoons balance out the intensity of those drama shows, kids cartoons are creator driven and usually features moments of creativity that you would never find in grown up shows.
They understood.
>>92106525
No, but I suspect they all think it.
>>92106525
No because I keep that to myself.
Avatar 3 when?
>>92106383
let's figure out some timelines
>assume Korra lives to about 100 (seems normal for this universe)
>LoK is about equivalent to the 1920's
>so about 80 years to Korra's death
>give it another 16 for the Avatar to learn they're the Avatar
So the next Avatar would be born into the Earth Republic in a time about equivalent to the modern era
>>92106383
Korra was a mess and the comics flopped. The answer is never.
Never. Let it die.
>went into this show wanting to like it
>Found it impossible to do anything but revile
>Not only disappointing but angry-inducing, especially given the hype. >Started thinking about it's primary flaw,
>After bingeing the whole series I finally see why this show fails on a crucial level
There are no. Fucking. Stakes. I swear to god, the threat level in this show is nigh-zero. The show wants the viewer to take it and it's melodrama so seriously, but all the ridiculous crying is offset with the fact that outside of the corrupted Gems (Which are quickly dispatched and made irrelevant), there's no real danger present at all in the show. I think the hospital episode was the closest it came before pulling back. The villains don't really present a sense of threat either for the sparing screen-count that they're on, and there's not nearly enough to balance out the fluffy sappiness of everything else. It's made worse by the fact that there's an entire war and child soldier thing alluded to which the show brushes under wraps.

What does /co/ think?

Waiting for Penny and Pyrrah magnet shenanigans.
Chibi is probably the only thing to come out of the series that isn't shit. The series is getting better with each season, but that's like saying Final Fantasy 13 gets good 10 hours in.
Volume 4 was such a fucking letdown. There was almost nothing redeemable about it. The way the series is structured is probably where most of the problems come from. Three volumes make a "season" and it feels like they're all meant to be watched together, but there's always a minimum year gap between volumes. The first two volumes of a trio are just setup for the third, which is where everything happens, but they also have to stand on their own and have some final confrontation to build up to. It's a messy and inefficient system that fucks the pacing even harder than it would normally be.
Who can we spot, /co/ ?
woah whats this from?
They're just fucking with us at this point.

Definitely not Black Manta, wtf NRS, add him already, amiright?
Why didn't she try to put the helmet on herself? She's suppose to be the smartest strongest entity in the universe (or at least, the most arrogant and self aggrandizing) so why didn't she try to put the helmet on herself?
Obviously these helmets can adjust to fit all kinds of creatures with different head sizes. The ideal Jerry to her is completely subservient, willing to do whatever she says without question, and will carry out her tasks regardless of danger. It seems like Beth's Mytholog didn't even need Beth at all.
Discuss.
Did you even watch the episode?

She got a big head

Yeah I just watched it.

>it's a "trapped in a video game" episode
>NEW HIGH SCORE!
It's a "we introduce a new love interest for a character that would be a perfect match, but they end up still going back to their original love interest" episode.
I always want the character to get with the new person.
>It's a "bitch about tropes" episode
fuck off back to /v/
I never watched Sonic Underground, is Sonia cute?
>>92104353
She is voiced by Steve Urkel doing a falsetto
>>92104375
So yes?
>>92104375
Just remember that this is the closet thing to a humanized Sonia the Hedgehog.
Thanks, /co/, for reminding me that Myrtle Urkel was a thing. I certainly won't hate you forever for that.
Not counting DKR, is Bane still tough without Venom or is he not much better than your generic giant mook? He relies on it so much it makes me wonder how he'd fare without it.
>>92104265
He's always a huge, powerful mastermind. The venom makes him bigger but also crazier, so it's kind of a tradeoff. Depending on the situation he's sometimes better-off with it and sometimes better-off without it. Gotta learn to manage your habit, you know?
>>92104265
>is Bane still tough without Venom or is he not much better than your generic giant mook?
He had a very hard life which toughened him up significantly, is usually a pretty good tactician, and in the broad spectrum of fighting skill abilities in the DCU, he's usually mid-to-high tier. That's without the Venom. That middle aspect gets diminished somewhat when he uses it.
>>92104265
He actually quit using Venom after his first story arc, and alot of stories with him have him completely venom free.
It's only recently that he's been back on it often.
But like already mentioned Bane has had a lifetime of training and education to go along with his strength, putting him very close to Batman kinds of strength.
