ITT: Cartoons that you thought were good, but that you realized they're actually horrible after you tried to remember what was good about them.
>>92348599
I think I just liked the visuals and the concept more than the show itself.
So many episodes left me being pissed off
>>92348649
I remember loving the shit out of Foster's. I loved the visuals and premise too, and the pilot was very damn good. And I'm sure I watched every episode till the end. But now that I've removed my nostalgia googles, damn, it sure was a very frustrating cartoon in a lot of ways.
>>92348599
in a way it reflected real kids homes
this episode wasnt that bad
>>92348464
It's not bad at all. humour wise it's solid. Simpsons plots are only a problem if the humour doesnt work
>Up yours, children!
It's definitely one of the funniest Skinner episodes. I never saw what was so wrong with it. I'm not really so wrapped up with continuity as some people are I guess.

I didn't realize people had such a problem with this episode until I came to /co/ a few years ago. Now "Homer's Enemy" on the other hand....
Current marvel reading list?
Sorry for asking just wanted a clear list of what and not to read in marvel that's running.
The only way you can decide what and what not to read is by reading something yourself. I passed over plenty of books because of preconceived notions that I later regretted.
>>92348372
Batman
Flash
Supersons
Teen titans
Superman
Shade the changing girl
Doom patrol
Hellboy
Nightwing
Bane: conquest
Bug
My ffavorite title is KInping but its about to end.
I love ultimates and moon girl. Nova.
Both hulk books and uncanny avengers but the writer is just gone so who knows.
Avoid all secret empire related.
>It's a /co/ gets naked episode
I have photos of old /co/mrades nudes when they posted it here about 4 years ago.
>>92348265
What?
>>92348376
Yeah about 4 years ago /co/mrades were showing off there body on /co/.
Tons of nudes pictures.
Was a simpler time then.
So red sunlight essentially insta-drains all the yellow sunlight energy that superman absorbs which makes him vulnerable to attacks from normal people, but how does that affect him at all?
A. He has the superman suit that is as durable as he is when he is supercharged and only gets ripped by an insane amount of force or power to tear up what is essentially a paper think layer of a kryptonian.
On top of that, Kryptonians are heavy gravity (x33) compared to Earth, so his body would grow biologically to accommodate tissue, muscles, and bone density able to endure a constant force of x33 times earth's gravity, which is way more than any criminal or martial artist can punch.
So even if someone catches him in a bunch of red sunlight, he would still be x33 stronger than the average human and have a suit that covers everything but his head that can endure upwards to cosmic levels of force against it before giving out.
Sure he would be fodder to someone like Darkseid like that, but at that level he is strong enough to easily lift a ton over his head, run 300MPH, jump 50 feet into the air with no problem and bullets would be like bumblebee stings.
Just doesn't make sense how this is often used in the story to make a "superman without powers!" storyline when he clearly could beat the entire gotham troupe of villains still if Earth was under a Red Sun

Does anyone IRL actually use "cow" as an insult?
Comic book writers have a very limited understanding of just about any scientific field.
>>92348184
It's a comic book no one cares
After rewatching the guardian episode, Jack and the Travelling Creatures, like many others, I was wondering how they were gonna reconcile the continuity of long bearded/haired, red caped, king jack with the fact that he just got back his sword and gi and got a shave and haircut.
Then I rewatched Jack and the Baby and thought, well 50 years have passed and Jack did say that the baby had the spirit of the samurai in him, and that king looking Jack in the portal does look kinda old.
>Jack goes back to the past
>realizes that slaying Aku would disrupt the future and opts not to fuck with it
>waits out the next thousand years as an immortal somewhere secluded (another planet?)
>assigns the Guardian to make sure he's stopped from going back in time before he knows he's supposed to
>comes out of hiding a few minutes as soon as the other Jack goes back to the past
>gets to be with Ashi again
>best ending
Jack goes back in time and imprisons Aku once again, tries fixing the world as much as he can before dying of natural age, Aku reawakens some centuries after Jack's death
>meh ending
Jack slays Aku and goes on fixing the world as much as he can
>shit ending
Jack dies and Ashii slays Aku for him
>utter shit ending
Jack betrays the will of his people just so that he could be with Ashii

its going to be the last one, without any fucking doubt
Is/was Wizard Magazine full of shit?
Pretty much yeah. They are responsible for the industry crash. But on the other hand they also made a lot of indie comics successful through hyping and pimping them hoping to capitalize on speculators' need for the "next big thing". We wouldn't be reading Valiant in 2017 for instance if not for Wizard.
>>92348104
Wizard was incredibly influential in it's time, and opinions fans still hold, may well be second-hand opinions they got from Wizard.
They were REEEEEEE-ing about the 1990s Spider-Man Clone Saga before it even started, and the owner of Wizard falling out with Rob Liefeld resulted in them turning their readers against him.
>>92349970
what's this about Gareb and Rob?
>>92348104
feels they have a hard on for Kevin Smith whenever they feature him in the mag.

What does /co/ think about the Artemis Fowl graphic novels? I read the first two back in high school and thought they were pretty good. Although, I haven't read the original books, so I don't know how they compare.
I want to _____ Holly!
>>92347433
Books are considerably better. The comics rush everything and have the characters narrate in awkward exposition.

Also, The Mighty B, Sanjay and Craig, Robot and Monster, Pig Goat and Bunsen are all fine shows, and all better than shit like fucking Catscratch.
