While it has social commentary, it is satire and generally does build up tons of straw men. Still a good show. Huey's child emperor stitch got old quick though.

Political humor in general is trash, creators mostly use it as mouthpieces to say "hey look, everyone who doesn't think like me is a retard haha look at those strawmen.

Boondocks was great because the creator wasn't afraid of looking at his own position in a critical light.
Similarly King of the Hill, while not a show that completely focuses on social commentary, also did a pretty good job at showing life through the lense of a middle aged republican without turning him into complete bumbling fools but a man that has his principles and beliefs he held all his life and maybe he is a bit too stubborn to change sometimes but he is willing to hear out other people and call out bullshit for what it is whatever side says it.

In her comic book form, I liked her because she felt the kind of classic "theme" villain that's been around forever, but is actually fairly new.

I liked that John Byrne made up a brand new classic-style Bat-villain for his "first meeting of Batman and Superman" story, instead of taking the more obvious routes of having them fight generic criminals or fighting two of their established foes teamed up. And I appreciated that while she was somewhat sympathetic in that she was actually insane, she still had a high body count.

Her Beware the Batman counterpart was a different take, but had a great new design and that smoky Grey DeLisle voice.

It has its highs and lows. They certainly have more creative freedom since there are norms they need to stick to. It can be totally outlandish and original in plot.

Because it's been know. Since that fucking episode Jack was PROPHESIZED to return to the past and kill Aku. That doesn't mean there arent going to be shit in his way.

The way I see it, Jack has to beat Aku in the future before defeating him in the past. Like his father he'll probably absorb Aku in his sword and with it, kill past Aku with future Aku, causing a great cascade as a result. That's just a guess.
