How are "Superheroes in spaaaaace" a dated concept? If anything, the cape movie boom that audiences are just fine with kitsch, especially with the GotG films. None of the elements you described seem like anything that the public would reject. And besides, the reason the Legion has stuck around for so long was due to the strong characterization, well crafted storylines, and independence from the main DCU allowing for greater creative freedom, not because of surface elements. If people rejected media based on that, superhero movies wouldn't be a thing in the first place.

They're still trying to "build" their cinematic universe. You're not allowed to do anything fun unless you've built up to it with 40 movies now.

Besides, Legion really wouldn't work as a movie. The appeal is in the large cast of characters and watching them grow.

I don't know of any, but there are probably a lot of poor country folk who realized that if you can put talcum powder on a baby's bottom to keep it dry, you could do the same for yourself and not go through as much laundry

So what is this, the fifth story arc going on concurrently? We've got Ryan stalking the campus, we've got Robin doing her thing, we have Leslie doing her thing with Joyce and Becky, I suppose whatever's going on with Dorothy counts as a thing, and now this thing with Joe and Rachel. Anything else I missed?

Anyways, the fact that Rachel is being given something to do outside of acting as a Greek chorus adds to the veracity of that one guy a while back who claimed that Willis said that Rachel was supposed to be a larger character in the Dumbiverse and is only now getting something to do.

Also, I can't tell if Joe is leaning on the wall with his arm or if he's doing the anime thing where he puts one hand behind his head.

Seriously, look at Rachel's dialogue in the fifth panel. How convoluted is that? Who TALKS like that, especially if they're annoyed and trying to brush someone off? Wouldn't saying "Yes, I REALLY need to know how much you want to fuck me right now" flow much better and work as a punchier joke, or is Willis actually aiming for the tone of a goddamn Goofus and Gallant strip here?

I can't enjoy Rebirth Superman because of the art. Every time that I look at the kid, it looks like I'm looking at the face of a really awful piece of Shadman's art.
Neil Gaiman's The Sandman is the only thing that makes me reflect about my life. It confuses the hell out of me that a comic book is the only piece of media that makes me do so.
Anyone can write a story, but many people have this idea that you need to have some drawing skill to tell it. You don't, but I can understand why you may want the skill of drawing.
Speaking of drawings, don't waste your potential in drawing characters that are not yours. Nothing is wrong with fanart, but take a dive and try to make something out of the characters that you have in your head.

"Thor" is alright.

"Thor: The Dark World" had a lot of production problems due to Alan Taylor wanting to make a dark and gritty epic and Ike Perlmutter wanting a light fun adventure.

Thor 1 was an Iron Man clone they rushed out the door for Avengers.

Thor 2 they got a toothless director who would do everything they said and thus had a movie made by "idea guys" instead of any single unified vision or coming from a creative spark.
