First of all calling it "genocide" is a huge stretch. She didn't kill anyone, they were just depowered.
Second of all, only 4 Avengers died, and all 4 of them have already come back, 2 of them thanks to her.
Third of all, she was possessed and driven crazy.
Fourth of all, she wasn't actually forgiven by everyone.
Fifth of all, she helped bring the mutants back.
Lastly, people bring it up all the damn time, it's actually pretty annoying.

Its not OK to make a clone of somebody with genetic material you stole from her. And even if that is forgivable, its REALLY not ok to indulge her efforts to murder the original because their mental leak is making her a nicer person.

With that said most of western animation has been and still is still episodic with shows such as The Loud House, Gumball, Teen Titans Go, The Mighty Magiswords, Pickle and Peanut, Ben 10 (2016) Powerpuff Girls (2016), We Bear Bears, Future Worm, and more and granted most of the shows on the shows on this list are not good, my point still stands. The reason for this is kinda obvious, it's hard for new viewers to jump into said show and not get lost and it's reruns get considerably less ratings compared to it's more episodic contemporaries, and therefore it would make less money for the company. I feel that once these networks (Nickelodeon, CN and Disney) move permantely to digital/online streaming this will be less of a problem since viewers could be able to watch a story driven show in the exact order any time they wish. owever due to most of western animation mostly having stand-alone episodes I have recently seen people especially on sites such as reddit and 4chan (I've actually been doing a lot of research for the past day) demanding for more story driven cartoons.
And as much as it would be nice to have more story driven cartoons, in a way it's nice that there's only a small amount of story driven/cartoons with strong continuity since it kinda makes them special, I mean if every show was trying to be like Avatar/Steven Universe it would make a pretty boring medium.
