About damn time they got rid of Captain Fascist and brought the real Cap back.
Wish he hadn't given away his shield though. Didn't even let him be part of the group shot at the end.

it premiered? is it good?
>Bumblebee.Bumblebee has to protect Teletraan-1 from an Autobot spaceship that crash-landed on Earth, but gets ambushed by the Decepticons Barricade, Backdraft (big guy fire truck with fire weapons) and Bonecutter (stringy emergency vehicle with a bunch of blades) and injured. He hides out in a small Californian town, befriends a group of wacky teenagers and must protect them from the Decepticons and the government. It's a straight-up kids movie.
>Transformers 6Transformers: The Last Knight launched the so-called "Unicron trilogy", which will be the focus of the next two movies. Mark Wahlberg was supposed to headline them, but he decided not to return, so a new lead human character has been created to carry the franchise. His name (so far) is Jake Barnes, and he's the character Zac Effron is in talks for. He's a police mechanic who stumbles upon the new lead female, Samantha Cooper (a role envisioned for Cara Delevigne or Felicity Jones), a scientist who finds out that Quintessa is manipulating the world's governments into rebuilding an ancient Cybertronian weapon to destroy Unicron, who is awakening and causing natural disasters all over the globe, wiping out the human race. They're chased by cyber-enhanced brainwashed soldiers and rescued by a secret network of Autobot spies led by Bumblebee, who are undercover on Earth while Optimus and the others have been exiled to Cybertron by the United Nations. A race against time ensues to secure the final component of the weapon which is hidden somewhere on Earth before Quintessa's forces, Unicron's minions, and Megatron and the Decepticons trying to harness its power for themselves.
Then in TF7 Unicron finally awakens, raises an army of dead Transformers and launches his plan to destroy all life in the universe, organic and mechanical. Autobots, Decepticons and humans must team up to defeat him once and for all.
You'll see a bunch of old and new 'Bots and 'Cons such as Cliffjumper, Blur, Springer, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Inferno, Blitzkrieg, Massacre, Warpath, Mayhem and more.
They're also bringing back Sideswipe and giving him a human girlfriend for humor, Unicron blows up an entire country.
Gore Verbinski in talks to replace Michael Bay, who's only sticking around as a producer.

Good, that's what Transformers films should have been from the start. No need to overcomplicate things.

X-Men (2000)
>James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, Richard Donner, Tim Burton, Robert Rodriguez, Danny Boyle, John McTiernan, Irvin Kershner, Stephen Hopkins and Joel Schumacher were approached to direct the movie before Bryan Singer was hired.
>Early drafts featured Beast, Pyro and the Blob, who were removed due to budget restraints.
>Russell Crowe, Keannu Reeves, Gary Sinise, Edward Norton, Kiefer Sutherland, Aaron Eckhart and Viggo Mortensen were approached for Wolverine before Dougray Scott was cast. He later dropped out and was replaced by Hugh Jackman.
>Thomas Jane was approached for Cyclops before James Caviezel was cast. He later dropped out and was replaced by James Marsden. Edward Burns and D.B. Sweeney also auditioned.
>Julianne Moore, Maria Bello, Peta Wilson and Lucy Lawless were approached for Jean Grey before Famke Janssen was cast.
>Angela Bassett and Jada Pinkett-Smith were approached for Storm before Halle Berry was cast.
>Natalie Portman, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rachel Leigh Cook, Christina Ricci and Katherine Isabelle were approached for Rogue before Anna Paquin was cast.
>Jeri Ryan auditioned for the role of Mystique before Rebecca Romjin was cast.
>Triple H auditioned for the role of Sabretooth before Tyler Mane was cast.
>Terence Stamp and Christopher Lee were approached for Magneto before Ian McKellen was cast.
>The movie had a troubled production, fraught with script rewrites and budget restraints. Fox postponed the release from Christmas 1999 to July 2000 and the rescheduled shooting led to several several actors and crew members dropping out due to scheduling conflicts.
>Fox was skeptical of the movie's potential and enforced several last-minute cuts to shorten the running time. Nevertheless, Singer believed something should be set up to explore in potential future installments and instructed Famke Janssen to react to being exposed to Magneto's machine to set up her transformation into the Phoenix.
X2: X-Men United (2003)
>Fox originally wanted the movie to center around the Legacy Virus.
>In early drafts, Sabretooth and Toad would return as William Stryker's brainwashed enforcers alongside Archangel, who would have razor-sharp Adamantium wings. Stryker would also unleash a prototype Sentinel during the final battle, but all these concepts were scrapped due to budget restraints.
>In early drafts, Stryker's enforcer is Anne Reynolds, a human loyal to his cause. When Sabretooth, Toad and Archangel were removed, she was made into Lady Deathstrike to inject more action in the third act of the movie.
>In early drafts, Dark Cerebro would cause mutants across the globe to lose control of their powers, but this was scrapped due to budget issues. There were planned cameos for Beast, becoming blue and furry while his colleagues watched in horror; and Gambit, accidentally caused a deck of cards to explode at a bar in New Orleans. Steve Bacic and Jamie Bamford were lined up to play them before the scenes were cut.
>Following her Oscar win, Halle Berry demanded a larger role, and the script was revised to make her the pilot of the X-Jet and later further revised to include a romantic subplot with Nightcrawler.
>Anthony Hopkins was approached for William Stryker before Brian Cox was cast.
>Steve Buscemi was approached for Nightcrawler, but declined. Neil Patrick Harris and Etham Embry auditioned before Alan Cumming was cast.
X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
>Matthew Vaughn was hired to direct the movie after Bryan Singer dropped out to direct SUPERMAN RETURNS, but also dropped out due to production troubles. Joss Whedon and Alex Proyas were approached before Brett Ratner was hired.
>The movie was planned as an adaptation of "The Dark Phoenix Saga", but the mutant cure storyline was added at the behest of producer Tom Rothman, who disliked the more fantastical aspects of the X-Men lore such as the Dark Phoenix.
>In early drafts, Alcatraz Island is a mutant prison that Magneto raids to recruit his army to attack the White House in Washington, D.C., where the final battle occurs. During the mass breakout, the Phoenix is targeted by the military and ends up leveling the entire city of San Francisco.
>Alan Cummings was approached to return as Nightcrawler, but declined due to the character's minimal role.
>Maggie Grace was hired to play Kitty Pryde, but dropped out and was replaced by Ellen Page. Eliza Dushku and Summer Glau also auditioned.
>Mike Vogel and Nick Stahl auditioned for Angel before Ben Foster was hired.
>Fox rushed the movie into production, leading to scheduling conflicts with several actors including James Marsden, Rebecca Romjin and Anna Paquin, whose characters had to be hastily written off.
>The movie had a troubled production with fraught with scheduling issues and constant rewrites, to the point Fox decided to end the mainline X-MEN movies and focus on spin-offs from then on.

/a/non here. What would happen if Japan starts seeking material overseas to animate like DC, Marvel or Image comics. What would happen to both the anime and comics industry then, would it help or hinder both?
I know they already tried to make Marvel anime and it ended up disastrously.
Like you said, they already tried doing marvel stuff. It was shit.
>>95021891
Could non-other Marvel stuff work like independent comics or does it have a problem like Hollywood studios trying to live action anime and manga? Just too much of a cultural divide for it to really be a hit in another country.

So after several script rewrites, Phil Lord & Chris Miller, Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa all dropping out; and Sam Raimi, Marc Webb and Matthew Vaugh all declininged, WB is aggressively pursuing Robert Zemeckis for the FLASHPOINT movie. He already turned it down once over scheduling conflicts but they're now willing to compromise to his time table.
Can he pull it off?
There's apparently also rumors that Michael Bay is on WB's rader in case Zemeckis doesn't do it.

FUCKING MADMEN
>Comics readers will remember The Ray—who can generate and manipulate light and turn into a powerful energy form—from his 1970s debut as a member of the Freedom Fighters, heroes of Earth-X, a parallel world where the Nazis won World War II. This animated version also takes its inspiration from Grant Morrison’s popular The Multiversity series (the seventh issue of which featured a reimagined Freedom Fighters). And while the show is focused on The Ray, his teammates will appear too. “It’s called Freedom Fighters: The Ray for a very specific reason,” Guggenheim explains, “which is we knew we wanted to establish the Freedom Fighters and Earth-X. In Multiversity, Grant Morrison came up with an idea we really responded to: The Freedom Fighters are made up of various minorities targeted by Nazis—women, gay men, Jews. We wanted to honor that idea. At the same time, it’s an origin story about the Earth-1 iteration of The Ray.”
>Some familiar voices will be dropping by, like Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist as Overgirl, the Earth-X version of the Girl of Steel. “Melissa is so sweet, and so is her interpretation of Supergirl,” Guggenheim says. “It was fun to hear her voice records and see she’s capable of a darkness. I think she really enjoyed playing the bad guy for a bit!” Other supervillains The Ray will take on include evil Nazi counterparts of The Flash and Green Arrow.
