The art style for this show has aged very poorly 'and by art style I obviously mean the shitty 3d'. I feel like this show would be way better remembered if it had a more traditional style. The jokes do hold up, it's just so ugly and weird to look at. What are your thoughts?
>>92881345
It's hardly an art style, it's what they could muster up using 3D. The whole show is really half-assed in design and it makes me wonder what kids are supposed to be enjoying about it. Why does Jimmy have a giant swirl head and hang out at a 1950s diner all the time? How come most of the dialogue is characters bitching at eachother? Why did they make an entire episode about Quentin Tarantino? What's up with this show's sense of humor and direction? Who is this show for?
I found it weird that characters always mugged the camera, looking at you through the tv, it's off putting. But if anything, I think the silly art style compliments the poor CGI. It's CGI, the best CGI is always going to look like shit years later, epically tv CGI

this is why cgi is ultimately inferior to 2d art
Bobby finally figures out something that works for him and then Hank comes in and ruins it because he always has to be right, even when he's being an idiot.
I like this show but, man can that plot point wear thin after a while.
>>92881197
Was Bobby actually more alpha than Hank all along?
>has tons of friends
>does well with the ladies
>confident and fulfilled
>good at target shooting
>did all this before hitting proper puberty, will probably be a mega-Chad by the time he actually grows to his full 6'2 height
>that episode where Hank stops bobby from becoming a professional model to spare because he was embarrassed
Bobby showed he was handle bullies so the ending didn't make Hank look right
>>92881450
i always thought that that was kind of the whole joke. that hank (a hilariously out of touch redneck) always gets his way but screws everybody else over in the end

I think they did in Rotworld
the general feel i got from a lot of people was that it made sense, the red being the animals, but that it was still dumb.
Dont think this was storytimed last week...

She's got a very pretty face, is tall, looks "exotic." In hindsight, I can't believe people thought she'd be a bad Wonder Woman. This is Heath Ledger / Joker all over again.
It's because she's extremely Jewish looking, and people get triggered by that because Hollywood directors pick jews for everything now. She is beautiful but I'm just telling you why people got pissed.
>>92879932
Ledger was capable of making more than one facial expression.
Wonder Woman was just her face back when they first created her. This isn't a step up at all, she doesn't exude any measure of tenacity or strength. She looks like she's dressed up for Halloween with the girls instead of looking like a demigod born for war. They're treating her as a joke by casting someone in her role who doesn't look like she's ready to beat some skulls. She can narrow her eyes and that's about the extent of it. It's the same derivative Barbie doll posing that people have been trying to move away from for decades.
You are tasked to craft a reboot of a dead Cartoon Network series. You can take as many liberties as you want, as long as you keep the name of the series (a la Tangent Comics).
What is your pitch?

Dexters lab
A comedy horror show about the great grandson of mengola who, besides keeping his daily routine of experimenting on hapless civilians in a JTHM style basement dungeon, must protect the world from the cosmic horrors unleashed by his great grandfather after a nazi funded summoning of yog sottoth. One thing i want this show to acheive is to be at any moment both hilarious yet suddenly switch to genuingly frightening. Use of lighting, unnerving sound effects, and psychological and body horror themes would be a must. The show would be very thematic, especially one that also uses a good deal of comedy. Dexter would be about sixteen, be described at most as havinng an almost sexual love of science and his creations, and his premts already know about his lab because his father was in the same business before his soul was digested by a spawn of dagon. Dee dee will be his horney sister where she is constantly tryingn to seduce her brother, but to no avail.
A blind white supremacist is sent to prison for multiple hate crimes. Unrepentant yet okay with prison life, he finds companionship in a fellow prisoner. The first episode features them eating lunch together, talking about their lives and desire futures, they even play sports together. But just as they win against the opposing team, this man regains his vision, and the title of the show is what he utters when he looks at his friend for the first time.

>My Gym Partner's a Monkey
>The Kingdom of the Sun was such a heart-breaking experience for me. I put four years of my heart and energy into that one. Though I may have seemed calm for the camera (as I always tried to be for my crew) inside it was a chaotic struggle resulting in annihilation. I was creating an “epic” picture mixing elements of adventure, comedy, romance and mysticism. The head of Disney Features at the time was afraid that we were doing, in his opinion, too many films in the same vein. He was also uncomfortable with the spiritual and cultural (Inca) aspects of it. Hence, he decided to make it a simple slapstick comedy. They kept just enough of my elements (characters and such) that I can never produce my original vision or story elsewhere. Would it have worked out if we had had more time? I would hope so, but one can never know these things.
Would it really have been that bad?
>>92879781
Yes, there was too mamy plots happening at once and it was all played serious.
>I'm gonna steal the Sun
how does that even work?
>>92879869
>>92879781
Honestly? While the guy got screwed over, the original story seemed kinda bland and generic. Especially the love plot with the female shepherd. Like a more boring Princess and the Frog. The only thing I miss is that they took out the villain song.
But the end product ended up becoming a pretty charming and actually funny clever comedy. And Krunk is better as a human.
Still want to see the storyboard presentation of the film. I know it exists, Disney, stop hoarding it.
How is this possible? How can a black man be so fucking kawaii? Not just his cartoon character, but Mike in the credits is always one of the best parts of the show. Just him talking.
He raped someone and got away with it
>>92879775
going to jail is getting away with it?
>>92879775
Yeah, he served his time and is changed now. Years of getting punched in the head and being constantly pumped full of testosterone fucked the guy up. He was like a show shark.
I don't remember seeing this storytimed last week so I figure id do it this week
