I miss the old logo. I'm sure 'Let's Be Heroes' was changed to a green, Street Fighter-like font so it'd be easier for people to notice it as part of the show's title; unfortunately, it just looks messy as a result.

I think not even Batman is that miserable. He never doubts his mission. He WANTS to save people. In spite his tragedy there's still a sense of wish-fulfillment and adolescent fantasy in Batman. It's like James Bond. Snyder's Batman is completely miserable.

Because it was punchy, funny, had strong grounding in characters (So much so you could identify the character just from the quote, even if you didn't know the character), and was often the result of or the reaction to a creative situation that pushed the cartoony aspects of the show without breaking the logic of the world.

The brain latches on to the good stuff in life and tries to forget the bland or mediocre.

Whenever it's been storytimed or discussed here, it's mostly negative; people generally seem to dislike the movie synergy shit and I guess it's a departure from the characters as they normally are in the comics, so anyone who *is* familiar with the series dislike it even more.

I like it quite a bit.

No, because terrorist groups, like rebels and uprisings throughout history, are just the natural consequence of a third-world nation rife with corruption and poverty and with heavy military occupation.

So even if he goes in and arrests every single current member of ISIS, unless he somehow can fix the climate, economy, quality of living, government and foreign relations of the various middle eastern nations, more are just going to come to take their place. A lot of them probably have a bad taste in their mouths because of what the Ultimates eventually became.
That said, the original was still pretty great, though there were some usual Millar issues with some of the characters Hulk being a cannibal, Hank Pym, "do you think this A stands for France"
and some other general asshole-ishness but for the most part it all holds together well.
My biggest complaint is probably how certain things are built up and then the pay-off is somewhat anti-climactic. The Revengers in Part 2 were cool, but Red Dynamo gets wiped out almost immediately and Perun literally does nothing. And it definitely has some hallmark "Millar really wants to make this a movie" stuff, particularly with the pacing.
That said, the good moments are excellent. The Quicksilver vs. Whirlwind fight is probably my favourite Quicksilver moment ever.
