>DC launches Kamandi Challenge, 12 issue miniseries featuring the best of the biz
>launches Bug!, six issue miniseries touring a variety of Kirby's creations
>6 one-shots in his birth month featuring one of his characters each
>Marvel does fucking nothing
What the fuck? It's getting harder to defend Marvel everyday, what happened?
EVEN IDW IS DOING SOMETHING
>>93603660
All of DC's offerings have shit creative teams tho
I believe there's a whole series of variant covers that are tribute to Kirby
Who would win?
>>93603508
I haven't finished part 6. I'm like, maybe a 1/5 of the way through. Spider-man still wins, I suppose.
>>93603508
No contest. JoJo has been to jail, and spiderman is just a little nerd with a fancy suit his husbando made for him.
She's way tougher and more clever.
>>93603508
Okay, I'm still in the first chapter, what's the steel ball run girl's stand do?
Obvious retcons aside, this has to be the second most out of place show in the DCAU after Zeta.
Speaking of the retcons, did they ever explain away the line about Clark Kent?
>>93603243
http://dcau.wikia.com/wiki/Toys_in_the_Hood
In the episode "They're Playing My Song" Static mentions, "Even Clark Kent has a day job". Before the episode "The Big Leagues", Static Shock was not a part of the DC Animated Universe, and comic book heroes were fictional in the show. When the series became part of the DCAU, this line was cut off from subsequent reruns.

>When the series became part of the DCAU, this line was cut off from subsequent reruns.
So basically, they just edited the episode and declared the orignal version non-canon?
Check out this video about what ever happen to Static.

What's the best way to get introduced to GI Joe and the Transformers? I want to start with the 80's stuff - my general understanding is that for G.I. Joe, the comic is the way to go, and with Transformers it's the cartoon.
Is that the case, or would you all recommend something else?
>>93603100
The Transformers cartoon is remembered fondly by people who grew up with it in the 1980s - but to be honest a lot of it's not all that great. The Marvel comics were uneven - particularly towards the end of Bob Budiansky's run - but there was some good stuff in there.
I'd start by reading the first 12-18 issues or so of the Marvel US comic - and then check out the first season of the cartoon (13 episodes) and the early Marvel UK stories (there was a weekly comic in the UK, so there were additional stories published which fit around events in the US comics).
>>93603100
Read the Marvel Comics (specifically the GI Joe ones)
Then read the IDW comics, an anon is story timing the stuff >>93599028 the quality of the stories varies though.
I don't know much about the cartoons other than I fucking loved GI Joe Renegades and Beast Wars, maybe someone else can help you there.

Thank you both. I'll bump just to let some other anons fill in with their opinions before I figure out what to buy and/or download.
The other day I remebered the really good Aladdin. The I remembered that this show was full of fetish fuel!
I'm surprised that /co/ dosen't talk about it much.
BDSM and mind control
>>93602930
>waifu gets turned into hot snake monster by evil Egyptian cat goddess trying to cockblock you
>turn yourself into a hot twink snake monster so you can give her the hemipenis
Aladdin's a great guy.
>>93603023
No joke I had a crush on him as a kid because of how caring he was.
It also had a lot of romance in it!Hell most of jasmines plots was about a monster girl wanting Aladdin all to themselves,by killing her or turning her into a monster.
I don't know of a better place to ask this, so I'm asking it here.
Why are indians into Marvel and DC? Everywhere I go, online or offline, I can't help but come across some indian autist with either a Marvel/DC profile pic or cheap shirt.
>>93602531
Better question:
Why do you care?
>>93602531
Isn't cinema a pretty big deal in India? They probably watch capeshit alongside their bollywood movies
>>93602531
Indians are attracted to poo, which is what Marvel is.
Marvel's all kinds of fucked up right now. Iron Man's dead, or a robot, or a girl, or something. Captain America is super evil, I think Thor got turned into a girl, it's all messed up.
The events have all piled up and there's so much weird history of bad blood where the heroes fought each other in Civil War and then fought each other in Shadowland but they were n different sides, and then it got mixed up again for Avengers vs X-men, and then again for Civil War 2, so now every superhero has a reason to hate every other superhero.
Does Marvel need a reboot? Soft or hard, either way, some kind of line wide reset that gets the heroes back to their iconic forms and makes them friends again. Or is it good going on as it is now?
What do you guys think?
If either company ever reboots again they should just make it a hard reboot. Nothing before happened and don't rely on the books for a few months ago to advance the story.
That'd never happen and comics fans would bitch about it until the end of time but it's the only way it could work.
>>93602296
Fuck that
I'm sick of hearing about peter's origin for the trillionth fucking time
>>93602296
I give it til the 100th anniversary. All the old fanboys will have died off by then.
Boy: wow grandfather ,Did you read all those books?
grand: i have dedicated my life on it
grand: i have studied very deep about who were The Egyptians, the Persians, the Etruscans, The Romans.
grand: also the mayas , aztecs , incas.
boy: And what about us grandfather?¿Who we are?
mon: where is your gradfather?
boy: he is crying in the library
I don't get it. Who's "us" in this context?
Is the point that he has spent his life engrossed in the past, and therefore failed to make a life for himself? Which is weird, seeing how he apparently has a large, comfortable house and a grandchild.
>>93602236
No, the point is that Hispanics are stupid mud people, who despite their fantastic natural resources, vast population and classical heritage are and will always be living in an irrelevant backwater.
Perhaps it is a metaphor, in which many people are extolled that perhaps we will never get to see, blinded in an obsession without realizing that we, despite our supposed insignificance, are also part of this world, only when we achieve something great, we are Recognized but there are people who do much for others and always go unnoticed.
Would Batman have approved of their methods?
Something tells me Batman would have been like "Nuuuuuuu brainwashing!!!!"
Batman is too defensive of his shitty methods.
>>93601917
Many would be against it, I wonder how beings like Strange or Zannana would think about it?
>>93601917
Would Batman agree that Ann is best girl?

So who did I miss? One of my friends insists that J'onn is actually The Spectre.
>>93601831
MMH is behind joker/harley, next to Lex is Mera
>>93601831
Reddit already correctly labeled everyone slowpoke so go check there. And that is the Spectre fake comic fan.
>>93601831
Two left most characters look like Gorrila Grodd and Saint Walker
Name a webcomic /co/ doesn't hate.
Nedroid
SBaHJ is fantastic too though.
>>93601775
Nigga, please. /co/ hates literally everything. That's why everyone here spends all their time bitching.
It Hurts
Let's make a thread we have never had in the past, at least as far as I know, post anti-waifus, or just plain ugly girls from cartoons, comics are also allowed though since being more realistic there is probably not much of them.
This is a terrible idea for a thread. Every post of an ugly female is just going to be responded to by degenerates saying they waifu them or they would still fuck them.
I'm still gonna contribute though.
>>93601762
You might find it tough posting an ugly girl that /co/ won't like
Thoughts on The Puzzle Place?Yes, muppets are /co/
>>93601726
I remember watching this a lot as a kid.
I too watched this a lot as a kid. Not even cause i really enjoyed it but just cause it was on.
>>93601726
Well this is new to me.
Why isn't there a comic character with King Crimson's powers?
>>93601714
How would it work?
>>93601714
dr manhattan
>>93601714
Read more comics and you'd find there are.
Hopes? Dreams? Expectations?
Bane in a post credit scene
It flops and kills capeshit movies so the comics can go back to being good before being shutdown.
>"No shit Sherlock"
oh, and one hell of a body count. Or they could go bring back quicksilver to watch Wheedon hit orbital velocity purely on the propulsion of his own ass devastation.
