Is it even worth watching past Season 1. This shit completely killed any interest I had in this series.
For me it's the opposite, I found the amon arc meh, I enjoyed it after that
>>93945226
season 2 is the worst of the entire franchise, season 3 is good, season 4 is okay.

>>93944891
Haven't seen this film since it's release, and can't remember anything. Has it aged well?
Regardless of your personal beliefs, these Universes have legit Gods, with the Abrahamic one being the Top Dog in both DC & Marvel.
I can get the notion of "I've met Gods, so it's a normal everyday thing, therefore I don't worship", but why go the gnostic atheist route? A gnostic atheist does not believe in the very existance of a Supreme Being. Someone who knows it's there, but doesn't worship it, like most /co/ characters, would realistically be a Deist, a Pantheist, or a Panatheist.
Why do writers simply take the easy way out and do that to every single science-based character? In later years, they have turned into complete fedora tippers everyone who's not Black Panther (muh Bast) or Doom (muh Paganist Roots). Why? Are they too bored to do some research?
As for Stark, it angers me mostly because it goes against decades of established lore. He prayed during Civil War, he buried his sentient armor and carved a wooden cross, Howard calling pi "God's message" is one of his few fond memories, and even in the Ultimate U he flies to the "detonating in minutes" Helicarrier to place rosary beads in Bruce's hand. He's no devout Catholic or anything, but he has SOME form of faith/belief/spirituality/metaphysical philosophy.
Writers are hacks and don't know anything about their own characters, instead snow plowing over decades of characterization to write shitty character archetypes that fit what they assumed the character was like the whole time.
It's just laziness. Same as any magic vs science drama you run into.
>>93944604
>Why do writers simply take the easy way out and do that to every single science-based character?
Yeah that's what fucking annoys me with Marvel, it not only is blanding characters to be too similar but also makes little sense in a universe where the Asgardians and Olympian gods exist.
Fraction doing that with Reed was laughable in light of the fact that there was a story in Waid's run where Reed meets God, who happened to be Jack Kirby.
And then there was also that Spider-Man arc by someone where Peter was upset with God on the night Ben got murdered, or something.
HAS ANYONE seen that 5 second Rick and Morty ad on youtube that's just an alien speaking gibberish and pointing at its watch? It appeared twice on my youtube app and I tried to screenshot it or see if it linked anywhere, but I was too late. Does it mean anything, is it any weird form of viral marketing?
I have.
>>93945122
Any idea what the point is? To someone who's never even seen it, it wouldn't advertise a single thing
>Does it mean anything, is it any weird form of viral marketing?
An advertiser sponsoring a video is normal marketing. You coming here to tell us about Rick and Morty is viral marketing.
Name one show that jumped the shark more than this.
>>93944426
NuPPG
TTG
Lion King series
>>93944426
That great white show on discovery channel.
>>93944522
>NuPPG
>TTG
These series are shark jumps in themselves but really have nothing more than that. Only made to sell toys.
>Lion King Series
All were pretty decent.
>>93944544
Hahaha fuck off.
I literally don't understand why anyone calls this Iron Man 1 with magic. They're very different movies, even down to the basic character arc.
Is this just lazy shitposting?
>>93944338
There's similarities but executed differently.
The people who call Ant-Man small Iron Man piss me off more.
>Arrogant man get's injured
>Spends time in a desolated place
>Learns bigger than life stuff
>Becomes better person
>>93944504
Wow totally the same movie, like James Bond and Mission Impossible
>(Ciaran) Hinds described the performance, along with a few new details of this “old, tired” Steppenwolf while speaking on BBC’s Michael Ball Show (hat tip to Reddit for catching the interview). Apologizing for the fact that he showed up without the impressive Steppenwolf armor now revealed in toy sets, the actor revealed that no such costume ever existed:
>“I’m sorry I’m not in costume. I didn’t even have a costume when I was doing it. It’s all done in motion capture. So… they stick a helmet on your head, they put two cameras around, and they capture all your expressions, facial expressions. So basically, they’re going to concoct some kind of construction and they will use my facial expressions – eyes, mouth, voice – they’ll turn into this murderous, avenging Steppenwolf from the planet Apokolips, apparently. Who’s bent on Hell on Earth.”
>>93944335
>There will of course be some fans who had wished that Steppenwolf – no matter who played him – would be able to interact with the actual cast members for the sake of chemistry, gravitas, or an intangible sense of integrity, if nothing else. Modern CG-fueled blockbusters, even beyond superhero films have made that a less common luxury, and the results have varied from challenging to completely imperceptible. It’s also worth pointing out that at this point, the actual amount of scenes or screen time shared between Steppenwolf and the heroes of the Justice League is unknown. If Steppenwolf is going to be carrying out lengthy dialogues with the heroes, it’s a different issue than if his Parademon army does the legwork so he can appear for a final, mindblowing battle.
And...? He's doing voice work. The cast members doing voice work for animated features never really meet each other either and their parts are recorded separately.
>>93944498
Not really. Lots of times actors doing motion capture work will act on the same set as their costars to get a real performance out of them.
Hey buddies, I got this random idea and I made it happen, (im not in drugs) enjoy

>>93944034
Your main character is one of the ugliest creatures I had the misfortune of crossing into my line of sight. And you're damn right you're not in drugs, because I am pretty sure you've already reached the threshold of diminishing returns when it comes to insanity.
>>93944034
not even newgrounds-tier 2005
>>93944283
Oh god, I'm taking this like te prettiest compliment I've ever received <3 thank you!!
Say Deadshot got an ongoing, who would be his supporting characters/allies? Catman? Slade? Harley? Maybe using arsenal as a foil?
>>93943965
Muh daughter
You should read this, OP. It's quite good. I believe it was reprinted as "Deadshot Origins".
>>93943965
Probably Slade as a foil/rival. Especially good with the current Slade who's a total asshole "trying" to act like he's now a hero, contrasted with pessimistic Deadshot who ends up an "accidental" hero.
HEY! REMEMBER THAT SOMEWHAT OBSCURE CANADIAN WELL ANIMATED AND WELL PRODUCED SHOW WITH NEW WAVE SONGS COMPOSED JUST FOR IT? DID YOU WANT A REBOOT? WELL HERE YOU GO!

Until the end there it really just looks like a fairly well made fan animation project.
I'm not sure how to feel. As long as they don't venture too far away from the original show in tone and such.
Please nooverly SJW bullshit please. The original show wasn't overly preachy as it could have been.
So we are getting Shazam, Jsa, Legion, New gods.
Those are the ones bring bulit up to in the books probably only being restored somewhat.
>>93943858
Yeah, In the jla book. The timeline saga thing with micro verse showed Shazam glitches.
Jsa will be a covert group though.
>>93943858
What was Dick thinking with that look
>>93943888
I read that shamans old costume exist and the wizard.
>Watched

i still don't know what you read
>>93943370
the title is literally on the image
>>93943499
He mean that your image is such a convoluted mess it doesn't really peaks anyone's interest on the source since it gives zero insight of what you read.
This movie gave me diabetes because it was sovanilla
>>93942899
Main protagonist is autistic female walking barefoot and having huge braid. Man I'm in love.
Main love interest gets stabbed on screen.
Protagonist loses her powers at end.
Short haircut
Villain who leaves me unsure how evil she is
This was a good movie
That was the point, it was meant to be a revival of sorts of the Princess franchise and they wanted to start of with something safe and familiar before doing the different stuff like frozen and Moana.
What are some cartoons that have made you feel a feel, deep in your soul?
Well, good thread OP it's about to be pruned now.
>>93942726
nothing ever touched me more than AT did, something about it just hits me personally and I end up actually crying
close seconds would be Rick and Morty and Bojack Horseman but mainly becausethey kickstarted my depression
The comics , animated series or live action series?
>>93942476
>I want to get into this character.
Try having sex with him.
>>93942476
I only have experience with the animated and first live action series but both of those are worthwhile. Both are pretty funny, if a little different.
the animated series is a bit more "out there" and zany with tons of impossible characters wheras in the first live action series it seems at times that the tick the only character to actual have any powers.
i guess im saying they're both funny but they rely on different kinds of humor
>>93942476
I would suggest the cartoon, personally. It encapsulates the gist of everything and, from what I've seen, while the other TV shows aren't bad, it has by far the best voice cast. Watch a few cartoon episodes, see if it's your thing and branch out into the comics and other shows.
