Anybody else on /ck/ like Malta? I admit it's an acquired taste but I love it, I have to be the only white guy I know who enjoys it
I used to use it as a yeast started from yeasts taken from unfiltered beer.
Tried a sip once or twice and poured the rest down the drain.

*a yeast starter for yeasts taken from unfiltered bottles of beer
Its like a really sweet, non-alcoholic beer. I'd buy it again but my local stores only have it in 6packs for the same price as decent beer.

here in NYC they have it in single bottles almost everywhere, probably because of all the latinos
I like it a lot

I like it. I drink malta india though. I am white guy too

No it isn't, I ate Raisin Bran as a kid and malta is just a liquid version of that exact flavor profile.
malta guinness > malta goya with cane sugar > normal malta goya > malta india
Is it like Supermalt?
It kind of tastes like... bread.

Supermalt is pretty great, it's even better if you can find the ginger variety

interesting, how did this turn out?

That's the right choice in malta, friend.
Love it. Grew up on it though, so I think that's probably why.
Literally everyone I've given it to try hated it. The only other people I know who like it are fellow latinos who grew up on it as well.

Is there any way of making malta at home? I really love it

Malta goya is legitimately good, so don't let its widespread availability fool you. It's got a decent normal version, and a god-tier "With real cane sugar!" version which is so much better.
Of course Malta Guinness is the best, but I haven't seen it since I went to Ghana.
